Ulele — Restaurant in Tampa

HORRIBLE! We started at rum fish because we had a significant delay. Decided to move to Ulele since we enjoy their Tampa location. We sat for 30 minutes at a filthy table wity dirty dishes, napkins, spilled food - with not one person stopping by. Finally moved to the side area (because it was slightly cleaner), still no one. Finally went to the bar to ask for waters. She said she’d send someone over. 10 min later the guy finally stopped by and got annoyed with us bc he just got on his shift and I told him we’d waited do long we probably didn’t have time now to order anything but waters. So he said well let me know if you need anything else and left, never bringing waters or coming back at all. Again, TERRIBLE experience. The entire place was filthy and no service at all. I obviously expect that mostly at the airport but in all my years of dining at TPA, this is the only time I’ve ever left a...

SO strange eating in this terminal

I bought food from Pappas Fresh Greek and then sat down at a table that had their name next to it- but that’s apparently wrong! Ulele staff asked me to leave

I asked for an explanation: Apparently Ulele owns all of the seating in this food court. If you want to sit for your food court meal, you must first be seated by Ulele staff and THEN you can go up to a counter, order, wait, and THEN take it to your Ulele table.

This business model is quite unique, counterintuitive, and frustrating.

The staff were very kind! LaMarl was awesome.

But they all seem exasperated - they clearly have customers all day that have this same confusion. Seems exhausting for everyone!

I’ll be avoiding this food court, it’s much too stressful...

Atmosphere nice good location gate-side in the center of a mini food-court. I've been here several times in the last year and this time bartender was awful and dismissive. I moved to a table and got a server who was perfectly fine. I'm lucky i had plenty of time before i needed to be at my gate. QR code menu on the table was glitchy and disorganized . . . I could only find cocktails & drinks. Staff really do make a such a big difference. Can't imagine working in a customer facing role and giving off such bad vibes and yet managing to keep the job. Overall a satisfactory experience and marginally recommended but: be insistent on service and getting what you're looking for early or you'll be racing for your gate...
