The Skyye Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Tampa

We had ordered (with a male waiter) the flatbread which arrived to the table after a while, it was a shareable but it was delicious but would have been better if there was little plates to catch the tomatoes that kept falling off. Then our actual dinner took an extremely long time to arrive at the table, (male waiter had disappeared at this point), another waiter cleared the table including the silverware and I asked if he would mind bringing new because we were still waiting on food. Not ling after that a female waiter apologised and said out food would be out shortly, "the restaurant was busy" mind you other people in the restaurant were receiving their meals, now ours was not complicated it was a Marriott burger and I ordered the chicken wings 4 jerk dry and 4 buffalo. Finally the food arrived and my buffalo wings were barely warm the jerk ones were fine and my bfs burger arrived without fries because the waiter said they had dropped them in the rush to bring us our food. They ended up redoing the buffalo wings which took maybe 10mins and that made me laugh since the first lot took an hour roughly to get to our table. The manager then offered to take care of the meal, and then in the same conversation offered 30% off the bill, then said he would take off the wings. What the F ? Make up your mind ! I never write bad reviews or reviews at all, and I rarely have a reason to say anything about service in a restaurant. The food flavor was fine but the service and the handling of the situation was very iffy. We were not impressed...

The Skyye Bar & Grille is our favorite place to eat and drink at TPA airport! As part of the Marriott that is connected to the airport (just down a short hall), it has very high standards for top-notch quality. Besides the full bar choices, the menu (which changes frequently) has a variety of delicious food—appetizers, wings, salads, burgers, sandwiches, main courses, and scrumptious desserts. The chefs prepare all of the food freshly from scratch every day, with wonderful flavor and beautiful presentation. Our favorites are the tasty Fried Calamari, mouthwatering Lobster Macaroni and Cheese Appetizer, yummy Steak Quesadillas, delicious Skyye Burger, and luscious Coconut Flan (their current featured dessert, which is custard baked with a caramel glaze). Our favorite drink is the very flavorful and artistically decorated Absolut Vanilla Chocolate Martini. The customer service is outstanding, with friendly, skilled bartenders and personable, attentive servers. Some of the exceptional ones are Victoria, Natasha, and Nathan (manager), who always welcome you with a smile and truly love to create an enjoyable dining experience! The atmosphere is very pleasant, with many tables besides the bar stools, and a beautiful view of the pool and planes. We visit Tampa frequently and always make sure we fit in nice, relaxing evenings eating and drinking at the Skyye...

This is the bar and restaurant inside the Marriott that’s inside the Tampa airport. I landed really late and was staying at the airport overnight, so came here for dinner and drinks instead of fast food in the airport terminals. You can access the restaurant without leaving security at the airport. I love they have an outdoor part so you can sit by the pool and hot tub and enjoy the atmosphere. You almost forget you’re at an airport! The food is ok, high priced but it is hotel/airport pricing. The drinks are good but can be expensive if you want them to be strong (getting a double). The bartenders are really nice though so I pretend that’s part of the high cost to not...
