Firstly, upon my arrival, it took an unusually long time to check me in. Not sure why as I had a reservation. During the process, I told the staff that I was using my points and my credit card was not to be charged. The staff member assured me he understood. So I gave him my credit card for incidentals. Secondly, looking around the lobby and dining area my wife was literally grossed out at the lack of cleanliness. There was grime all over the floors (like they have never seen a mop), the coffee bar was not adequately stocked and was filthy and the tables needed a good cleaning. We decided we were not going to use that part of the hotel for our stay so we went up to the room. Once we checked in we had reservations with friends so we put our bags on the table and left (about 4:00 pm) to meet up with our friends. When we returned to the hotel later that evening (around 9:00 pm) I started noticing that the room had not been cleaned from the prior guest. Towels were still hanging on the back of the bathroom door, the trash had not been dumped, the carpet had not been vacuumed. I know this because there were nail clippings by the bed! I’m not sure if the toilet or shower had been cleaned either as it was obvious that the floor had not been mopped in quite a while as there were hair from previous guests.
At this point, my wife wanted to change hotels, but I assured her I would call housekeeping. To my surprise, they showed up within 15 minutes with a vacuum. I got a chance to look at the vacuum and I was dismayed at the condition of the vacuum. There was less than a ¼ of the bristles remaining on the vacuum. However, that is all they did…vacuum.
Another issue we experienced was the disgusting elevator! It had never seen a broom, mop or cleaning in a very long time. Grime was all over the elevator. In addition, it was out of commission for several hours. This LaQuinta is 3 floors and only 1 elevator.
The next day we came back to the hotel after being out for most of the day and saw 2 chewed up chicken bones and a food box on the floor by the elevator. They were still there 1 hour later as we left again. We came back about 3 hours later and only 1 chewed up chicken leg remained. Not sure if the housekeeping crew attempted to clean it up or not.
Lastly, upon checkout, I noticed that not only was my credit card charged for the entire stay but I was also charged a $100 smoking deposit. There was no mention that this would be charged. They apologized and refunded me the $100 fee but I had to continually state over and over that I was using my Wyndam Rewards Points and by charging my credit card, they were charging me twice. Finally, the girl said she would issue a refund to the credit card and it should appear on the 27th of the month. As of the 31st there was no reimbursement to the credit card. This forced me to take action and call the hotel who were really not helpful. I also called Wyndam and was told I would be reimbursed. Upon checking my credit card account today I am happy to say that I had been reimbursed for the stay. But I’m not happy that Wyndam nor LaQuinta are reimbursing me for the interest that was charged to my card for those days. Especially, after my less than acceptable stay.
Overall, I am accustomed to staying in hotels such as Super 8, etc. and I have to say this LaQuinta shouldn’t even rate a star. I am very disappointed with my stay at your hotel and do not feel that I received the level of service that I gave up my points for. I would appreciate it if you would take appropriate action to address these issues and ensure that future guests do not have the same...
Read moreHello I wanna first start off by saying How stupid and idiotic, the little girl that's about maybe 25 years old that I would take it to be the owner's daughter. That's running the front desk. Looked at me when I asked her to help me. Resolve my issues like if I was robbing a bank. I hope that you see after my review. And I can guarantee many more that I'm not crazy and that indeed, you have no knowledge of what you're doing and speaking a different language to your employees or. Relatives is very unprofessi. Asked you simply to help me with retrieving my security deposit. Which indeed you did you stole from me? Because there's no other explanation when I provided you with receipt. And proof of my deposit. You should have then. Did what's right and gave me the customer. My deposit, I did not or anything. That would jeopardize my deposit. The room was clean. The bed was actually made by my wife and left in tip top shape. Like I do every time. So the fact that you had no answer for me and just wanted to shrug it off and hand me back my license and tell me have a nice day. It's very unprofessional and I hope that you guys get shut down. Or at the very least, someone comes to investigate. You guys have going on is very unprofessional. And illegal. I'm not leaving this review out of anger. Everything I'm going to explain here is going to be 100% truth. Please if you are looking for a room and place to stay with your friends and family. This is definitely not somewhere you would like to go This has been by far the worst hotel experience that I have ever encountered. The staff is very very under qualified to run a hotel I believe they have A total of about 3 to 4 people that run the front desk very under educated in this line of work. It takes about 30 minutes just to Check-in. Because they are learning step-by-step how to do the process. My main concern is not that what I'm coming here today for is I was basically robbed of a $100 security deposit. I gave them a $100 in cash when I checked in. When I packed my stuff the day that I was supposed to leave. I made sure that the room was always as clean as possible. Being that I do travel constantly for work. And this is not something I do once a year. I constantly stay living in hotels due to my job. So I make sure that everything that I have in the past is at. It's best that way. It leaves a good. Review on my end.But upon check out I provided him with the receipt showing that I paid $100 in cash. They begin to look for my deposit for over 30 minutes and end, resulting in them not finding it, blaming it on either night shift or day shift prior 2 I told them. Where does that leave me as a customer? I should still be able to receive my deposit. Being that it wasn't something that happened on my end. They basically informed me that they couldn't help me any farther and put me on AD. NR. Or list which means do not rent Please, if I was, you guys.Just stay as far away from them.As possible this place needs to shut down or at least take over new...
Read moreThere are wasps nests and ants everywhere outside. They need pest control asap. I usually do yoga in the hotel but I can't because the floors smell very very bad... moldy and like dirty feet. I saw them clean the carpets on the 3rd floor one day while I was doing laundry (which btw, I made a service call and it's not a 3 day promise to come out and fix it... washer doesn't finish the cycle and clothes are very wet but not dripping... so one of my classmates ran his dryer cycle twice and the clothes were still very damp. I had to hang my clothes all over my room.) So why only clean the top floor carpets and it's obvious they don't clean 1st for at all. Especially during covid outbreak? Yuck. The coffee isn't even the brand the stuff comes out of... coffee is never hot hot... gross and it said online they offer tea but it's just cold disgusting coffee.. Front desk is rude, some of the workers care but consistency is key. They should fire people that have a rude or mean attitude but they probably don't pay them well... they steam vac the floors bit not well because my friends got their butts wet sitting on the hall carpet that they did 2 days ago. Pretty bad... don't even have an air mover. Holes in the wall in the hallway on the 3rd floor... they didn't clean half the rooms this week and I heard other guests complaining. They aren't consistent with what is for breakfast... even the very next day, they won't have something pretty basic. My first morning they only had the cheap yogurt out, 3 kinds of oatmeal and 3 kinds of bland, generic cereal. Go elsewhere... or get an airbnb. The vending machine ate my money 3 times and the front desk doesn't have change nor do they own up to any machine on their property. I brought all my towels to the front and my empty toilet paper rolls to ask for 2 rolls and 2 whole towel sets. They only gave me 1.5 sets... missing 2 towels and I didn't feel like arguing with them anymore. Also I only got 1 roll for 15 days left. I am booked here for school by the school, not by choice. I am constantly woken up but other guests and loud music and cars in the parking lot. Walls are thin and the clientele here is sketch. No warm breakfast items offered and not consistent. One morning we had cheap cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, boiled eggs, 3 kinds of muffins and 3 kinds of granola bars... now 2 weeks later the juice machine is always out or left off during breakfast... sometimes no milk out and only offered cheerios left, plain oatmeal sometimes... the granola bars are still there but no yogurt and only blueberry muffins. This isnt a complimentary breakfast by any standards... if anything it's just inconsistent snacks. 4 times I have had a dank boiled egg. The photos show mini waffles but I guess because of covid, like many hotels that offer free breakfast they either give you 2 options and I wish they would at least have some gd* fresh fruit or something. Oranges, apples... or just at least provide consistency. Things are not at shortage yet. This is all...
