Below par for the Woodlands. I've been in three rooms and the situation was about the same in all of them. Rooms are not clean with splatters on walls, artwork, and curtains. The carpets and furniture were nice, but dirty and frayed. There is water damage in the ceilings and exterior walls. Our first room had not been cleaned, but they nicely found another room for us. We had electrical problems that left us with no lights in the bathroom some of the time. The hotel ran out of facial tissue. The rooms smell like mildew mixed with other fragrances, each one having a unique personality. We had wasps appearing in our room, which we had to handle ourselves. Some of the clean towels the maid dropped off had been rolled up before they were completely dry. During our entire stay there, one of the hallway smoke alarms was beeping due to a dead battery. If you want milk or yogurt with your breakfast, be sure to go to breakfast early before they run out. Be cautious of the oatmeal toppings, they are left out all day and night uncovered. Many of the white towels have stains. If you can't keep the white towels white, maybe it would be wise to choose a different color? The hangers in the room are permanently attached to the closet bar, making it difficult hang a garment bag. All that said, the staff are really friendly. The furnishings in the rooms are nice (the bathroom is especially nice, with a good tub surround and granite countertop). Despite being very close to the freeway, road noise, while present, is not too bad. Overall, the place just needs a little cleaning and maintenance to be a very good hotel. As it is now, don't book here with high...
Read moreReview for stay 6/15-6/18 2025 Stay at your own risk, I was here for 3 nights. The first 2 nights was fine, no problems at all. However, the very last night there was 2 bugs I’ve found in my room. One was a huge cockroach, I took pics and complained to the front desk. The first bug I didn’t mind, but when I saw a cockroach crawling around I couldn’t stand it. However, they could not do anything but move me to a different room. This was at midnight and it would have been such a hassle to pack my things, go to another room such late at night as I had work early morning. I asked for a reimbursement for only 1 night I had bug problems with, they could not do it because they claimed it was booked through a 3rd party. I reached out to my 3rd party and they needed written confirmation to approve the 1 night refund. I emailed best western but no response. Currently in a dispute with my bank and I’ve provided all necessary documents for them to approve this. I don’t think I’ll be back here due to the mishandling of this issue. Wish the hotel manager would have offered me something fair rather than moving to different room such late at night on my...
Read moreI was initially given a room, and it was clean, however, it smelled like damp bath towels (the entire room). I asked for another room, and was given another room, which was also clean, which also had a strong musty smell. I figured all of the rooms probably have the smell issue. The mini-splits just smelled like damp moisture, the entire room had a heavy smell of too much moisture. In both rooms, I had to clean the filters on the mini-splits myself. I rinsed the filters in the bathtub (they were very dusty) and dried them with a bath towel before replacing them. Although it didn't alleviate the smell, at least the filters were now clean. I guess for the price, the smell was tolerable. This is truly a 3-star hotel. The rooms were clean and the hotel was clean as well. Really the only deal-breaker was the mustiness of the rooms. The staff were very polite. Ultimately, I'd prefer a clean hotel with a musty smell than a dirty hotel with bugs. I didn't have any issues with the cleanliness of this hotel. If you're travelling with family (wife and kids) and they are picky, spend a bit more coin for...
