I hate trailpoint. You know it takes me a lot to say I hate something but this complex is something else. When I moved in here I was told my base rent. I was okay with that. One day I put in 2 months of rent and needed 1 of those months back because there website is slow and I accidentally put in two payments. They told me I had to “dispute it with my bank”. I proceeded to do so, my bank completes the dispute to trailpoint 2 days later on the 16th I don’t see any money in my bank acc and thought well it’s a long process. 4 days later still no money so I call trailpoint and my bank saying to just not move forward with the dispute both parties agree. After this on the 27th a day before rent they told me I owe them 1400$ keep in mind they never sent my 1400$ in the first place. So I go up there and they said they refunded it to my bank. I call my bank they said they are waiting on the merchant to send it. I then confront trailpoint and they say oh yes we went ahead and refunded you anyway I said how I don’t have any money in my account they then said let us talk to accounting. This takes days and they start to rack up late fees on my rent. Over 300$ in late fees for something that is not my fault it is their fault. Then it takes a whole month and they still haven’t refunded me yet they forced me to pay late rent or be evicted I now have a 2,000$ base rent instead of 1400 for some reason and am dead broke barely able to feed my family while they still have my 1400$. Also half of the amenities don’t work, the fire pit doesn’t work the pet spa doesn’t work only 2 of gas grills work. Also it seems like they are more worried about towing people that are unaware of the reserved parking then giving out reserved parking to there residents. 4 of my friends have been towed for being at my house for 10 minutes and not wanting to park across the complex you can barely see the signs and writing in the ground at night that says reserved in the first place. The dumpster has flies swarm it 24/7 on old lady I know is always going there just to fill hordes of flies with alcohol in a spray bottle. Most of the grass is dead and there is fire ants everywhere. Also when the winter storm happened we where without water for 2 weeks which is unusually long when maintenance came to change my washer which took them months they just ripped down my wall in the washer dryer room then it took another month for them to actually change the washer, the wall was ripped until summer when they finally fixed it. The ac units barely work same goes with heater my upstairs is consistently hotter than my downstairs and only bearable when it’s set to 64 degreees. Underneath the kitchen sink and laundry room reeks like mold and mildew cleaned it with bleach pinesol everything I can think of and still reeks. Half of the Laundry room door was rotted out when I moved in and they didn’t care to fix it. The only nice thing is that everyone in the complex that I have met agrees that they are moving out once there lease is up and the pool. This might be a good complex if your are retired or living on your own but raising a family here has proven to be near impossible.I may change my review if this is fixed and I don’t have to be drowning in late fees for something that is wrong with there system but if not I am adamant with saying trailpoint/Greystar is running the worst apartment complex I’ve...
Read morePros: 1) Best. Maintenance. Ever. The past 2+ years we've lived here, these guys have been the greatest. For example - This afternoon I had a wasp nest show up on our balcony... called the office to see if anyone brave was available to knock it down - less than an hour later, he arrived and not only did he kill the all and sweep them away, but he swept off our entire balcony! He made sure to mention that if I ever see any more, to let him know. Also, our cats have managed to knock multiple things in the garbage disposal over the years, and they've always come and fixed it. I've never had a problem with the maintenance guys. I also love the main manager at the leasing office, she's extremely helpful!
The upgraded apartments are really nice! All new carpeting, they've got all nice black appliances, nice countertops, etc. Much more modern looking. Love the new carpet especially - the old was very shaggy. This new carpet is very short and easy to vacuum. I do wish they had kept the ceiling fan in our living room though.
Can't hear a thing from our neighbors! Sometimes I wonder if they exist except for when I see them walking in or out their front door! This has been the case in both units we've lived in here. We're on the 2nd floor.
Beautiful view if you get a unit on the pond! We see turtles every morning, ducks, interesting birds, fish, etc. The whole complex is kept up very nicely since the renovations.
I never have had a problem with parking, ever. There's always a spot and it's usually the one closest to my apartment. I also love the addition of the gated entrance. Makes it feel safer - and there's also a cop that lives in the complex. Randall's is also right across the street and they're open til 1AM! The location is really just perfect.
Cons: Power outages (was annoying when I worked from home, but now I don't really notice or care as much) these seem to happen several times a year, but that could be normal? The other thing is that our electric bill is $140 in July for our 1 bedroom. Poor insulation or something? But that's the highest it's been. It's typically around $80. I guess these apartments were built before all the good energy efficiency stuff. Our apartment is like 76 degrees in the summer when it's set to 72, but the bedroom always stays cool. And we work during the day anyway. Also we're on a corner unit so that might come into play.
One last note, and this is more of a warning for anyone renting ANYWHERE - if you see a german roach (google it for pics) when you first move in, get a different unit. The people before us in our first apartment here had a bad infestation problem and it took us months to resolve it. Who knew that one roach out in the open meant 100s in the walls. I didn't! Yikes! But this could literally happen anywhere at any complex. It's unavoidable if...

Updated: I've already left a bad review for this company and they responded that they would like me to call the office and talk about the dispute. I've called multiple times and like usual they won't answer the phone. I left a voicemail explaining the situation and they still won't return my call. It's been three days since leaving my information. We are now having to deal with the headache of going through the Justice of the Peace for resolution. Do not rent here unless you want to be taken advantage of and ignored. I wish they had the option to leave a ZERO star review. Absolutely awful management that has no interest in fixing their mistakes.
ORIGINAL POST We had many maintenance issues (large nails coming through sheetrock into our bedroom, carpet that had the padding removed for water damaged but never replaced, mold, no washer or dryer for a month+, industrial fans and humidifier installed for water damaged and powered through our outlets they we had to eat the cost) that were ignored for months. The only response we ever received was that it was being sent to "upper management". We eventually got fed up with the neglect and put in our notice to vacate. When it came time for us to leave they had added a $3,000 failure to notify of vacate fee. When we notified them of their errors and included the emails stating so, they just continued to not respond. I reached out three times over a month before we moved to discuss the discrepancy in our move out bill. They simply decided they would not respond. We had just figured they realized how much they had dropped the ball and waived the fees until... about six months later we noticed it had been turned over to a collection company. Looking through these reviews I'm noticing this is common practice here. We stopped going into the office as the manager would belittle my wife for asking questions regarding our comfort not being met. She actually asked why we weren't reaching out more to get responses from them. Like it was our job to make sure they were doing their job. This is why we only communicated through emails after that so I would have documentation. I guess since this company refuses to actually discuss these matters I will have to go to a justice of the peace to fight this. Over the three years I had lived here this complex was owned by three different management companies. One change happened in the middle of major repairs from a freeze that had busted many pipes and cause massive amounts of water damage. The staff would use this fact to justify any neglect of repairs. In summary, this company will neglect, lie, ignore and bully. Do not rent here if you wish to keep...
