This place looks NOTHING like the photos. Based on the nice photos and reviews, I booked this place for part of my girlfriends birthday trip. It totally broke my heart when I saw the look on her face upon entry into our room. I couldn't get another place last minute and we were exhausted after driving over 11 hours, so we had to stay here. I have stayed at places ranging from Travelodge or Motel 6 to The Four Seasons. Although the front office staff was very nice, this was the worst place I have ever stayed at. ||||1. The carpets were stained in several places (see photos) and the bottom of my white socks turned dark brown after walking on the floor. This is how I test cleanliness.||2. Both beds were hard and had large dents in the middle, indicating the mattresses need to be replaced.||3. The linens on the bed had mysterious stains on them and a few short black hairs in them. ||4. There were large black spiders on the ceiling and flying insects in the room. We discovered there was a large opening in the bedroom window screen which we covered. I suffered from several itchy bug bites on my exposed legs. Thankfully, I brought my Ivarest!||5. There is a microwave sitting on top of the bathroom sink area which left barely enough room for one of our toiletries. ||6. The bathroom tub has blackened sticky pads which should be replaced or cleaned. The oil stains and dead skin from dirty feet causes these antislip mats to turn black. These mats should be cleaned with something like R.O.G.3 ||7. The bathroom smells like sewage backed up. The stench was so bad, my eyes started to water. I went out and bought some spray bleach which helped to mask the smell long enough for us to take a shower. ||8. The TVs had exposed wiring and receiver boxes. This is unsightly. ||9. The laundry room: floors were so filthy (see photos) and there was a box of opened spaghetti, books, plastic hangers and misc items. The dryer filter is very old and needs to be replaced. After a heavy wash cycle our small load of clothes had so much laundry detergent on it, we had to rinse it by hand before putting the load into the dryer. After 70 minutes of drying time on high setting, our socks were still damp! ||10. I woke up with various itchy bug bites all over my exposed legs! Thankfully, I had Ivarest. Sad I had to use it after spending a night in a motel room and not on any of our recent backpacking trips. ||||I am writing this honest review in hopes that management will make necessary repairs and improvements. Also, I am hoping management will at least provide a partial refund to make it up to us. I am a hard worker and saved up for this place rather than spend another...

Read moreThere are drapes on either side of the window which look out into the parking lot. They can neither be pulled closed nor opened further, as they are just ornamental. To close visual access to the room from the outside, we used the pull-down shade screen; it was a little creepy.||The lights in the room are strange and poorly designed / wired. There was no night stand light, only a light on the same wall as the bed that was wired to the switch -- which was just inside the door on the wall, far across the room from the bed. So to turn off the light in the room to go to bed, you get to go to the door, and turn it off at the switch just inside the door. The other light - also an LED that was in the ceiling - would often work, and also often not.||2 smaller pillows on the bed; I usually sleep with 4, but OK, I'm not at home. The bed was comfortable.||Over towards the wash basin there is a nice sized fridge and a microwave.||There is more water pressure in the sink than in the shower. We tried to shower together, but that was impossible; too little water flow. There seemed to be a eco water saver device on the water supply line; what a great way to under deliver water and make the guest irritated. ||The decor was early thrift store. There was a former hotel that was razed several years before (Mar Clair Inn), and it looked as though perhaps the dresser and night table may have been salvaged from there, with perhaps a new plastic top put on and then routered and painted. ||The floor was some kind of faux wood plank, maybe LVP. It may have been swept, but it certainly was never mopped, and definitely not clean. After removing my shoes and socks, and using the bathroom, and getting a beverage from the fridge, my feet were black. In the morning, I put the hand towel under one foot and bathmat under my other foot and walked to my bag on the couch and back to get dressed. The towels were very dirty from the dirty floor (pics). ||A tiny (24") tv is mounted on the wall, along with the satellite or cable box, too. No effort to tie the cables together; they just sort of droop and show. A larger tv and mounting it lower would have covered both the cable connection and power source, but it is on the Oregon coast / bay, in a less economically...
