It might seem strange that Tillamook Creamery (yes THAT Tillamook) has a farm store, though I suppose they need to feed all the many cattle that produce the milk that goes into their delectable dairy products…Whatever the reason they have one, this is a true feed store, and appears just like any other you might wander into. I didn’t look too hard, but notable finds were Danner boots and all manner of pet supplies. I found a giant tug rope that is as long as I am tall, and my Great Danes love it. There were generators, pet food, canning jars, local honey, and overalls. You get the idea!
Now, I said it is just like any other, but there is one big difference: they sell all sorts of Tillamook goodies - ice cream, cheese, even cute farm store merch like tees, sweatshirts, and hats. They also had my most favorite local milk, Alpenrose (get the chocolate!).
Prices were reasonable, employees were friendly, and parking was quick and easy right along the exterior of the store. If you need a farm or feed store it’s a great option, but I’d also just stop by for cheese when not feeling up to braving the crowds at...
Read moreI am in Rockaway Beach recovering from surgery - ran out of my service dog’s food and had my sister drive the 15 miles to Tillamook Feedstore. They did not carry his food - said Taste of the Wild Prey was popular- two days later my dog still refused to eat it - took the bag back to exchange for something he’d eat - the cashier smiled and said he remembered me but because I didn’t have a receipt (my sister said she threw some papers away and it might have been in that pile) he wouldn’t let me exchange the food. I won’t be shopping there again on my visits. Recovering from surgery is difficult enough away from home and worrying my dog wouldn’t eat was not helpful so this probably bothered me more than usual - however customer service is making a comeback so I really hope this hometown business gets their...
Read moreI like a few things about this store like some of the stock and that they have baby chicks. What I do not like is the attitude of some of the employees. The negativity is frustrating. Also just bought a bag of chicken feed a few weeks ago when I picked up my chicks. I already had some so I didn't open it until a few days ago and it had mold in it very dry hard big chunks of mold. I called the store to ask him if I could return it and I told him it had been less than a month since I bought it and he said that I couldn't bring it back. I don't think I'll go back to the store. The other Farm Store down on 101 is so much friendlier...
