The worst hotel state ever. When we called to see what time to start checking in they had told us that it was at 1:00p.m. And when we went there to check in the room wasn't even cleaned. The housekeepers were there since 8:00a.m. & not one freaking room was cleaned. They told us an hour they will have the room done. One hour later I called them and the room still wasn't even done another 30-40 minutes and it'll be done. When I called after 50 minutes they just got into the room. We finally checked in around 3:30p.m. The hotel is so ran down it from mold in the pool area, there isn't a hot tub like the pictures show. I'm a retired head housekeeper and they was the worst place ever. I took pictures of this place and I've also sent it to the corporate office to show them how bad this place is. You don't get much for breakfast but bagels, and if your lucky you'll have some muffins that are gluten free dairy free and nut free. They are old and stale and we weren't happy with this stay. If you end up staying there look at the pool area it has a look on there that is a keypad on the door and make sure you look at the mold & cracks in all over the ceiling, mold in the windowsills and they always fill up the pool whenever someone is done with the pool. Pool is uneven and you really have to be careful what you do in there. Children have to be supervised that is under the age of 18 not 14 they raise the age themselves. Make sure you to take a shower before you go to the pool it posted outside the door before you go in. For your showers in the bathrooms if you are over 6 foot tall like my oldest child and husband you have to duck down to shower. And the tubs drain very slowly. We've NEVER EVER experience this bad of a...
Read moreThis unassuming low slung long building just off the main drag in Torrington, WY gets almost a full house of travelers. Why? With relatively low prices, Best Value offers most of the amenities of larger competitors in town with friendly country service. Our large suite had a very nice king bed, able where we both could work on our laptops, bureau of drawers (more space for our luggage) and of course a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and complimentary shampoo conditioner etc. A very small pool still offered my husband a lap swim break. Complimentary breakfast quite good: breakfast burritos, bagels, raisin bread (one of my favs) with PB, cream cheese, coffee, juice & very good oranges. They even had a small library of paperbacks. Having hung out at expensive lodges in St.Mary’s, Silverthorne and Vail it was a nice surprise to find most of the same amenities without high prices and tourist vibe. We liked town of Torrington, too. Nice place to walk with a...
Read moreI had reservations (get it?) about my stay, because the last hotel I visited in Torrington was a very poor experience. I was very pleasantly surprised.
The whole facility was very clean and well kept, the room itself was especially neat, and was visited daily by housekeeping. I always search for bed bugs when I stay in a hotel, and there was no sign of any bugs here.
The breakfast was not the traditional "eggs and bacon", but was very good. Belgian waffles with real pearl sugar, bagels, microwavable breakfast burritos, cold and hot cereals, orange juice, coffee and fruit.
Staff was very friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person, and were willing to accommodate all of my needs including a very late check in.
All in all it was a very good experience, I will definitely be staying again on my next visit...
