So I'm going to tell a True story about the Local ISP Company. Some might find this useful before choosing an internet provider in Torrington. My brother has been a customer of vibe Broadband for approximately 8 years in Torrington Wyoming My brother is disabled he has some problems and occasionally needs some help with certain things and generally he is apt to believe anything from somebody behind a desk. He will also follow through with what they tell him to do he is semi autistic, now all that being said here's the thing that happened. In February he received a bill from Vyve broadband for over $300 and some dollars I think $367 or something like that don't quote me on the exact dollar amount but it was well over $300, up on inquiring somehow he was 2500 GB over his base of 1500 GB which in all of his service time 8 years nothing like this has happened, in 2020 he went slightly over by a few gigs on his at that time His 1000 GB allotment and that was the only time that that had happened well with this bill he went 2500 gigs over his 1500 gig allotment this is impossible for him he has nowhere to store even that amount of data or anywhere to even put that. He's got a 1 TB hard drive in his Xbox One and his Nintendo switch has 500 GB storage outside of the game cartridges he buys 400 GB is used by Games he's bought over the last 5yrs. His phone has a 64 gig micro memory card. He has No other storage at all that is everthing. Explain to me where he put 4 TB of information off of the internet. We spoke with Vvive Broadband requesting multiple times to have management give us a call talk to us do something. After 2 months they still hadn't done anything. I made a phone call to corporate at that time something was done we got $100 discount off of the 300$ bill and my Brother continued to pay his normal but told them he would go ahead and start making payment to the now 200$ overage. Then 6 days later they shut the internet off on the first of April because we had not paid that bill which we assumed would have been reversed because he did not use that type of data there's no way. He still went in on the 3rd of April after recieving his disability check and Made a 105$ payment. He notify me that his internet had been off for the last 2 weeks when came to Torrington to visit. I went and spoke with Vvyve Broadband they informed me they weren't going to turn it on until he paid the bill in full which for him is going to be approximately 4 months before he can complete those payments never mind you he's never been late on a payment or missed a payment in 8 years. I explained to them that he clearly can't pay that without a payment plan. He's on disability fixed income. I tried to make arrangements for an extra 50$ a month even though we know he did not incurr that overage. He only owes $130 more dollars and they won't turn his internet back on he's going to have to go two more months without internet. This will be the service provider you're working with. My brother has a perfect track record and somebody steals his internet and downloads a bunch of data. Vvyve won't even work with, help out or understand. Do they know what its like to live on 900$ each month? He has been in good standing and all his obligations are paid each month. The internet is his only luxury and he all way makes sure everything is paid and he lives within his means. I hope this is enlightening. Before I close I have to say one more thing they also had him before I went in and talked to him on the lowest available Broadband he was at the smallest package they could give him at a premium rate he was paying he had a thousand gigabytes of downloadable data he was on the bare minimum of 320 mgps I reviewed his downloading speeds over several months and he barely averaged 70 Megs a second barely able to stream most of the time he was putting up with buffering and it would take 3 hours to download a 30 gigabyte game what the hell. He was also paying a premium of $70 a month for an average of 70 mgps. This is what they do for the disabled...
   Read moreGreat customer service, call and explained I get crappy service, they gave me a discount. No contract makes it better, Really cheap internet but its not reliable. If you need internet everyday this is not the one to go with, but not very many good ones in Torrington to begin with. updatedI was going to switch to a faster internet connection when the lady I talked to asked why I was leaving, I explained I need better reliability with my school and faster service. She said they upgraded our area and was able to get me the faster internet. So far it has been A LOT BETTER. I am even considering giving them 4 stars. Might be worth trying a month or two just to see if they are better for you for cheaper that the rest...
   Read moreNick was out today. My request was to move my service line so my neighbor and I could do some work between out properties. Nick was efficient, knowledgeable, and very nice. We discovered when he moved the line my service would not re-boot. I had a fire a few months after installation which melted the insulation on my service. After he fixed the original issue Nick ended up replacing the line to get my service working. He did a better, neater job than the original install. ...
