When in the area, definitely stop here! Everything they make is terrific, especially the pastries! We have gone to dozens of bakeries across 34 states, and this place had some of the best baked goods we've had in a long time! The breads are also excellent, not to mention generously sized at reasonable prices! Our loaf lasted several days, even being sliced, and provided great sandwich material for our road trip. We will absolutely return on our next journey through the area!

This place!!!! What a find! We were on a road trip and planned a pit stop in Torrington for a mid morning break. We saw the sign and decided to give it a go. The smell is so amazing. They have so many choices, both savory and sweet. The best croissant I’ve had outside of Europe. The lemon tart was divine. The apricot danish was like nothing we’ve had anywhere else. This bakery is the real deal. Be sure to stop in there if you are in the area. It’s worth the trip.

We visited this amazing hidden gem while visiting our son. He had mentioned how awesome it was, so when we came to visit him that was the first place we went. WOW! If you get a chance, go visit. You will not be let down. The shop has been beautifully restored and is a work of art. The bank door is a great touch. The story behind this shop is one of the best. It's worth the stop!

I was visiting the area and was told that I should go to the bread doctor. That it was beyond amazing. It seemed like a busy day which is wonderful, and I'm not sure if that is why I had a negative experience on this particular day? . I was standing in line and a person came out from behind the counter to take my order, she was not very friendly and I felt the customers were bothering her by even ordering food lol I got a ham and cheese croissant, The lady asked if I wanted it warmed up, I said yes that sounds great. When I opened the container to eat it the cheese was all melted out there was one slice of ham inside the croissant and the croissant was very dry. Definitely not worth the money. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I personally was not impressed and maybe they were having a bad day perhaps? But I definitely would not go back. You better off getting a croissant or donut from Dunkin' Donuts and...

DELECTABLE !!!! enticing, exquisite, satisfying, very yummy. The ambrosial tasting layer of a graham cracker style crust on bottom, with the 2nd layer of a perfectly seasoned, savory layer of cream cheese mixture, followed then by a third layer of a luscious, perfectly flavored chocolate mousse only to top off all that heavenly, amazing mixture of perfectly consistent, palatable and delightful frosting. Thank you for providing such an exquisite that forever be second to none. Now, if I can get my son to stop there everytime he travels thru, all would be perfect. Congrats on your skill and production of this most exceptional dessert ever !!!! I seriously meant to take a picture of all the layers, however, I was side tracked by devouring the entire thing , in one...

Oh my goodness ... where to begin? I travel 200 miles (round trip) to get their English Muffins and freshly made bread (I stock up and freeze). Their desserts are just amazing. We had their Lemon Tart for a dinner party last evening and it drew raves from our guests - delicious and beautiful to look at too. Now that I know their days/hours, I carefully plan my trips because for me, it is worth a little extra work to get their delicious breads. I've been to other places in Cheyenne and Laramie (and the Front Range) and nothing comes close to The Bread Doctor. The only place to go for truly rustic Artisan breads...
