Pros: Decent breakfast at 7 AM. Bed was passable. Cons (ready?): Concierge barely acknowledged me, then walked off to play YouTube ads and put on an obnoxious playlist. When he finally helped, he asked a dozen unnecessary questions despite my Hotels.com booking. Eventually, I just said, “How about I give you my name?” and he went, “Oh, okay,” and pulled up my room. One microwave for the whole building, located in the eerie, cold lobby: broken. After 15 minutes of me standing there trying to cook my food with the hot water dispenser, I ask again, “So there’s really just one microwave in the whole building? Zero others?” “Just that one,” he says. Five minutes of back and forth later, he suddenly goes, “Oh, I guess I could use mine.” Turns out he had a working staff microwave 10 feet away. At least he had the decency (if not the presence of mind) to heat my food. The place is just dumpy—whatever you’re picturing, you’re right. Security cameras in the parking lot are busted, with garbage, liquor bottles, and blunts scattered around. Hair on the bed. Hair in the shower drain. A used coffee pod left in the machine. TV satellite was down all night—no channels. No hot water for a Saturday night shower, just a notch above cold. View from my window: an overflowing trash heap of broken furniture and loose garbage. Phone not just unplugged—missing its cord and buttons. A useless hunk of plastic. Bathroom fan switch ripped out. No exhaust fan. One elevator, taped-up sign all weekend: OUT OF ORDER. No kidding. This place is unacceptable. I give it two stars because it’s a hotel. It was a place to sleep in a town where I needed one, and it served that purpose. The bones are good, the decor a once-ambitious contemporary now just tacky. If you need to stay in Totowa, this is your place. Because there aren’t other options. Get to breakfast early.

Stayed about 3 nights about 4 weeks ago. Horrible experience. We booked room week in advance when we got there we were given a whole different room then what we booked. After wiping down the room and everything I spotted two bugs crawling on light and wall after looking up bugs they look like they could be bed bugs. I went down to tell the front desk person about it ended up waiting 30 minutes for him to show up and help me and told me to give him 30 minutes to figure it out cause he overbooked he never ended up calling room about the situation instead I had to go back down and he immediately gave me another on key. Went to second room and instantly was hit with cigarette smell. It was a non smoking room. My gf was having a reaction to the pillows because they were feathers in our first room they were cotton pillows and second room had feather pillows. We went down to ask front desk person about this and he said “he will try to get some next time.” All around the experience was bad. They were not willing to give refund due to us booking thru a booking app because the front desk person said they have to pay them and which he told us was only 70 dollars so he couldn’t give us that much money back. We contacted corporate about this and they were not helpful at all said they would email us back within a week and 4 weeks later still nothing. Another thing was the outside was completely trashed trash all over the floor of the entrance. Front desk person went outside to talk to someone and completely ignored all the trash that was on ground and flying away. I do not recommend this spot to anyone.

I had a very bad experience in this hotel, the pictures will tell. Bad treatment and an unclean hotel. I will never go back or advise anyone to go there. 1- The room was very cold and we waited hours for it to warm up. 2- There is no carpet and the floor is very cold. 3- The room is not clean and there is hair everywhere. 4- The toilet is leaking water, so you need to close the toilet flapper to be filled. 5- no microwave in the rooms, We take the food from the fourth floor via the elevator to the reception desk on the first floor to heat the food in front of everyone, then quickly return the food to the room before it gets cold. 6- I asked for a microwave they refused but they gave it to some of the guests in the hotel. I don't know why the inequality if we all paid the same amount of money. This is completely unacceptable and disrespectful 7- I started to bathe my daughter, but the hot water stopped, so I continued with cold water. When we told them, they said that it was because there were a lot of people in the hotel and there was nothing they could do. 8- When we called to order the microwave and fix the leak, they treated the call with arrogance and said that if we did not like it, we could check out. Unfortunately, the weather was very bad and it was difficult to leave.

Worst hotel I’ve EVER stayed at. Do NOT stay here. I get into my room and immediately the dressers have brown and yellow stains on them, the floor is dirty and contains hair and more stains, and the room smelt horrible. I go to use the bathroom and opened the toilet to see POOP inside. Nobody had used the bathroom before me let alone even went inside of it. I was so taken aback I almost threw up, and the toilet had countless stains inside. It was so disgusting I literally had to stand up and use the bathroom, but I wouldn’t have used it at all if I didn’t need to so badly. We got moved to a different room after complaining and the only reason service is given 2 stars instead of 1 is because the guy was understanding and moved us immediately. After being moved, I took off my socks and shoes and was so grossed out because the floors were sticky. How are the floors STICKY in a HOTEL ROOM?? I could literally hear my feet sticking to the floor and had to wear shoes the entire time I wanted to walk. The floors and dressers were STILL dirty, but I honestly gave up on switching because I only had one more night. The fridge didn’t even work and neither did any of the bedside outlets. I had to go around the entire room searching for an outlet that would work, and finally found one. The walls were not even the slightest bit sound proof. I could hear people simply walking in the hallways and the room service cart rolling down the hallways. I could also hear people talking, which isn’t their problem, it’s just the fact that the walls are SO THIN. The TVs didn’t work besides being turns off an on, and was stuck on one channel the entire time.

Overall, I don’t care that this place is reasonably priced, DO NOT STAY HERE. Honestly, at this point it’s OVERPRICED. Nothing can validate this mess of a hotel. Please no matter how much of a budget you’re on do not stay here. Worst experiences of my life. My brother has cancer and his immune system is weak, so I genuinely was worried for his health. This place deserves so be shut down it’s...
