I have never been so disrespected by a business in my entire life!!!
I booked a room for this past Christmas eve because my wife and I were not able to spend it with our family. Our families live 2 and 3 hours away. While my wife and I were in a our jacuzzi suite we heard scratching on the wall underneath the flat screen TV as if there were a rat or some animal in the wall. As you can imagine my wife got freaked out and I was a bit embarassed because I set up this beautiful room for her for after she got off of work. I set up a small Christmas tree with gifts around it. We had a nice meal together. And then when were lying down on the bed relaxing watching some TV we heard some scratching on the wall around 1230am. We immediately called the front desk. The gentleman at the front was trying to be as helpful as possible but was limited. We asked to speak to a manager, but were told no one was available because it was 1 o'clock on Christmas morning. Really?!?! What about the customer spending their Christmas at your hotel? Customers who chose your business to stay in with their hard earned money. Anyway, we packed our stuff and went to the front desk and my wife wrote a letter to the manager of the hotel and we went home. Oh and it was extremely cold outside, somewhere in the teens. Luckily we were not far from home....The owner of the hotel, ROCKY COCCA, called me about an hour ago and said that he was a offended that I would say their were rats in his hotel. And a bunch of other things that were not appropriate as a businessman trying to satisfy their customer. Then he tried to fix it up by apologizing, and offering me a 50% discount for the next time we stayed. I went from trying to be calm about the situation to angry. I asked him if this is the way he runs a business? I told him, first you insult me and then try to apologize and make a discounted offer? I was looking to see if we could get a partial discount for our experience. And he said no, "You're not getting a refund." The guy owns 6 hotels that a worth millions in the area and instead of satisfying the customer and keeping the longevity of his company, he disrespects me who help make his business successful. I asked him if he had a heart. He then got all tongued tied. I finally told him, I don't want a full or partial refund. And as a matter of fact, that he would no longer get our business ever again. I then went on and said that I would share the experience we had in his hotel to others and it will be hurtful to his business. It's very unfortunate that this happened because we actually have stayed at this hotel twice before and had a good experience.
To sum it all up, we were not valued customers and it is quite possible that you will...
Read moreOverall, this was a good hotel. I paid $200 for two nights at the suite room with the king size bed and jetted tub.
However, I called 2 days in advance to ask if my guest can check in before I arrive. I was told that there wasn't even a room reserved under my name. I asked her to check again because I had booked it via Expedia about 3 days ago. Then she asked for my name again and she said there is a room under my name. I told her my guest's name and she said that my guest will be able to check in. When my guest arrived, they told him that he could not check in and that I had to speak to the lady at the front desk on the phone to verify and approve of his check in because they usually do not let guests check in if they are not the credit cardholder.
Secondly, the furniture looked pretty old. The bathroom is very small; even the toilet paper dispenser is missing. The "Suite, 1 King Bed, Jetted Tub (Non-Smoking)" is not as big as it looked in the advertised photos (I stayed in room 50). The jetted tub needs maintenance because not all the whirlpool water pressure holes work. The advertised continental breakfast 7am-10am does not serve any proteins; just cereal, waffles, English muffins, muffins, bagels, apples, bananas, yogurt, coffee, and juice. However, the breakfast is actually there til 10am or even later. They do not end breakfast early like some hotels do.
The housekeeper called my room at 9:00am to ask if my room needed any housekeeping service. I told her no thanks. Then she knocked on my door again at 10:00am to ask again, only to remember that I had already said no thanks before. I absolutely hate when hotels wake you up for service when they could just use door tags to know if your room needs service or not.
All other staff were super nice. I liked that there were always parking spaces available. The location is great. There are Chinese, Indian, and IHOP restaurants located on the same block. A whole shopping center and a huge movie theatre are within walking distance, too. The room was clean. The bed is good. One of the lamps did not work. There's a fridge, good size flat screen TV, and microwave. They provide a good amount of towels and extra towels for the...
Read moreI don't like to ever give a bad review, most times I wouldn't rather say nothing because peoples opinion vary, but this was not good. The front desk girl was very nice and polite, but the room was very substandard....the room was so small that it was claustrophobic to be in there...A small path on each side of the bed and then there was the bathroom. Which was not really clean, the tub was dirty, and repainted around the drain to mask any rust or wear and tear. There was dirt n grime also around the bathroom sink drain. The tub was also miniature sized...(didn't know they made half sizes). The furniture in the room looked like it was picked up on curb side, it was scratched, nicked and beat up, horribly. The curtain barely fit the window and it was falling off on one corner, I had to pull it back and forth a couple times to get it to cover most of the window. They didnt even have an emergency escape route map posted anywhere either, which I believe is a major code violation. and on top of it all I asked for a room that was away from the road, that was somewhat quiet and they put me facing the intersection of both the main road and the highway entrance so it was so noisy that I couldn't sleep. I didn't want to write this but really think they should do something about it. However, they did offer a newspaper and a small continental breakfast in the lobby, which was nice of them. As for me, I believe I will be staying...
