100% do not recommend. Booked a room last minute and we told the front desk that we would be there in about 30 minutes according to the gps. Well due to traffic it took us almost 45 minutes to get there and it was already 10 pm when we checked in. Anyway this motel is supposed to be non smoking and the first that i smelled was a VERY strong smell of cigarettes and i’m very allergic to the smell of cigarettes and i noticed the holes in the piece of furniture as if someone punched it. So it made me feel a little bit uncomfortable. Then i started checking the bed for bugs because this room was not at all what it was supposed to be and under the “bed protector” which is just like a square piece of fabric was a large of what seemed to be a pee stain. I understand that accidents happen but there were crumbs and hair everywhere on the mattress. There were little bug torsos in the liner of mattress, there’s what seemed to be blood splatter or some sort of large dark stains towards the bottom of the bed. Now on to the room it’s self. The wall had a dead spider right above of where you lay your head on the bed, the AC seems to be leaking something black and it was running down the wall, the ceiling was sinking and has mold that they covered with putty. Cigarettes in what i’m assuming is also a AC vent? Not sure what it’s called. And the carpet??? the carpet is absolutely disgusting and i’m not saying like it hasn’t been washed but like it’s never seen a vacuum before. There’s candy wrappers and cookie CHUNKS on the floor along with like with mysterious crumbs. The bathroom looked like it wasn’t finished and the faucet in the tub looked like someone spit tooth paste on it after brushing their teeth and never wiped it off. The whole place was absolutely disgusting and disappointing. So i took pictures disregarding that they say that they don’t refund people, i started showing the front desk the pictures and telling him that the place was really disgusting and if they can either switch us to another room or get my money back. Well he didn’t even bother of looking at the pictures and just called the owner and told him that we wanted a refund and the owner asked if we messed up the room and i told him that the only thing that i touched in that room was the bed and that i will gladly remake it if that’s the issue to getting my refund back and the front desk said “go make the bed to exactly how it was or you don’t get the refund” so i went ahead and made the bed exactly how it was and went back and told him that the bed is made exactly like the other bed and that i want my refund. He then said that the owner was on his way to the motel. While we were waiting i decided to break the silence and ask about the owner like how long has he been in business and how many properties did he own and the front desk didn’t respond so i said out loud to myself that he must just work here and probably doesn’t know the answer and angrily responded with “Well i’m actually his cousin and i don’t need to respond to any of your questions. Who are you to me that i have to respond too? if you have any questions, go ahead and ask him when he get here.”hen the owner showed up soon after that interaction and i tried to show him the pictures and he didn’t even bother looking at them and he started complaining that he waited over an hour for us. I told him that the room looks like its been neglected and not once been cleaned. He said that the room have been and always been cleaned and i told him that I tried to show him the photos but he disregarded them. The owner then responded with “We’re a small business and it’s good that you said something about the room immediately because now i can put someone there, i’ll give you the refund and you can go find somewhere else” So he went ahead and refunded me my money and as i walked out I told the lady that was coming in that i 100% do not recommend this place and that we’re all just better off sleeping in our cars. The simple fact that it’s close to niagara falls is the only good...
Read moreOk, to start off I might be comparing apples and oranges here, but my son and I stayed here on a Sunday night. I made a few jokes about the tiny little packets of shampoo & conditioner and that there was some hair on the bathroom floor. NOT the biggest deal. The next night I got a hotel in Baltimore, MD that made me want to come back here and stay my entire vacation! lol |||||My son did the research and found this place online. Best price, closest to the Falls. I believe my son did a great job. It is 15 minutes away from the Falls, we got to sneak a peak at Niagara before it got dark, but my son said we "had to check in before 9PM" so we headed there. Still light out, the door was locked and we had to ring the bell. A man comes to the door, unlocks it, and walks away. UH, not the best greeting but oh well. I open the door and immediately get some odd black gunk on my hand. Weird. I thought my son paid but the man curtly said we had only made the reservation, so I paid and we got room #7. We weren't given the wi-fi password but later when I was outside taking down the phone number the man must have known as he opened the door and gave me the password, NICE. Unfortunately, as many have stated Wi-Fi sucked, my son refused after barely using it and I didn't even try. (therefore cheap hotel cost me an extra $10 because I need more data lol but OK, not from just one night here, trust me) ||The PROs of staying here. I felt safe, priority number one. I was comfortable. We both had nice clean beds, it didn't even cross my mind to check for bed bugs which I had to do the very next night (Stay away from Knights Inn Baltimore) ||You could see that the carpet had been vacuumed, they had a fridge and a microwave in room and the outside was very cute. Pond, fish, baby rabbits. flowers. It was quiet and I got my first good nights sleep here. ||So, overall I was very pleased about the cost and the choice of being here. ||||My son read many of the reviews on google, and I wish the manager would reply to people more professionally, but we enjoyed some laughs. After trying to find a decent place to sleep in Baltimore, I have nothing but love for this place! ||||If I ever come to this area again, yes! I would return. Oh and the chinese food place down the road (near a Subway sandwich shop) was good food, even if they close at 9 PM and don't want you to eat there. lol ||||I wish I could share photos of the animals I saw outside, but I am using my sons computer. Do take a few minutes to talk a nice walk here...
Read moreThe furniture in the room was clean. However most of the outlets in the room didn't give off enough power to use my phone charger. I'm sure it's the fact that my charger can charge multiple devices. I used the outlet that the refrigerator was plugged into and it gave enough juice. The walls were dirty except for thr one beautiful blue wall that was freshly painted. The complimentary soap dried out my skin something fierce. I could tell that the carpet hadn't been cleaned in a while. The sheets and blankets were soft and smelled good. However the mattress covers were worn and torn in many places. I loved the huge refrigerator that came with the room. It fit a whole pizza box! We stayed on a Friday night and it cost us $120. Now if you like the nostalgic rooms of the Supernatural TV series, this is the place to go. Minus the crazy decoration decor, it's spot on. The room was cozy for the night and I overall enjoyed my stay. I forgot to...
