Our recent stay at the Goose Pond Inn was our third so far (across two winters), and we have plans to visit again in the near future. If that doesn't say enough good things about this wonderful little B&B, I don't know how else to convince you! While the rooms and building itself provide everything you need and are tastefully decorated, the real highlight of a stay at the Goose Pond Inn are the exceptional hosts, Penny and Jeff. Penny is a great conversationalist and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome every time we visit. There are cookies available downstairs in the breakfast area when we check in and the self-service tea and beverage station upstairs by the rooms are a most welcome touch after a long day of skiing at nearby Gore Mountain (literally a 5 minute drive away). Penny has a wealth of knowledge of the local area and has provided us with many recommendations for dining and activities. Jeff is an exceptional cook and his breakfasts are to die for! (Though not literally, because then we wouldn't be able to enjoy a day of skiing afterwards!) Jeff is also an avid skier and often provides us his own personal ski report and recommendations for Gore. On our first stay last winter, while we were eating breakfast, he even went the extra mile to brush the snow off of our car when he was outside shoveling and salting the driveway. Talk about a personal touch of service! Goose Pond Inn, and its hosts, is such an amazing find that I actually recommended it to a good friend of mine last night. We look forward to coming back again this ski season and there's a good chance we'll be back in the warmer months as well to enjoy some hiking and other activities...
Read moreYou MUST stay at this place! I promise you will not regret it. I'm actually very upset that we only stayed for one night but one night was all it took to feel like you were part of the family. Dakota, the owner, took over this B&B a little over a year ago and has completely renovated the bedrooms, bathrooms, dinning area etc. Granted, when you pull into the driveway the outside lacks some luster but DO NOT judge a book by it's color. Upon entry you are greeted by the most amazing goldendoodle, Sophie. She barks and may catch you off guard but she's a peach and just wants to be loved. You are also greeted by an aroma of something cooking or baking and lucky us, we had fresh baked pumpkin bread waiting for us. There's tea/coffee/beverages and snacks available for you at all times, the rooms are gorgeous and the beds are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. We mixed ourselves a drink and sat downstairs in the living room and had the best conversation with Dakota and her Mom (We just called her Mom the whole time). Mom comes up almost every weekend which makes this place even more special. The next morning we had the most amazing breakfast which is ready at the time you requested......fresh off the griddle. I just met Dakota and I'm so proud of what she is doing to the place and her vision. She has come so far and has done so much to make this B&B a home for everyone who comes to stay. We are definitely going back to ski since Gore Mountain is right around the corner. Don't look anywhere else, you need to stay at the Goose...
Read moreStayed here for the 2nd time this weekend, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Goose Pond Inn, it’s a home away from home. Penny and Jeff are so kind and welcoming, always have time for a chat and are so accommodating. The rooms are all spotlessly clean and the decor is adorable, every room is different, I can say this quite confidently as I have stayed in each one. If I start raving about the breakfast I will run out of words! So let me just say it’s delicious. There are home baked cookies on the dresser in the dining room for guests, coffee available also. The house itself dates back to the late 1800’s and is full of that old charm. There is a fireplace in the living room that is going constantly, so that immediately makes you feel right at home. The grounds are beautiful, there is a fire pit with a circle of chairs for guests to gather. It’s a five minute stroll into the town of North Creek, which has much to offer, including restaurants, bars, little coffee shops and gift stores. I love this place and would highly recommend it, can’t wait...
