My girlfriend and I tried to book a last minute trip to Lake George, having never been there before, and Tall Pines really came through for us. When we initially called, they were fully booked for the weekend. They got a cancellation though and called us back to let us know that they had an opening so we immediately booked. The owner and operator's name is Alan, and he was awesome. Very friendly and accommodative throughout the entire trip. We weren't able to get in until after midnight on Friday and Alan was right there to meet us. He gave us some recommendations on restaurants for the next day, as well as some really helpful info on some of the boat rental companies (which really came in clutch in us being able to get a boat the next day). The room was very clean and affordable, especially compared to some of the other insane prices other establishments were charging for that same weekend. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was closed because of COVID, but the pool was still open. Alan also lit a couple of bonfires for the patrons which was an awesome way to spend a cool summer night (definitely not something that they would do at any of the other major hotel chains). The location is about a 5 minute drive from downtown Lake George, so not really walkable, but was an easy drive to and from all the things we wanted to do there. I would definitely recommend Tall Pines, and we will for sure be going back there on our next trip to...

Read moreI'll start off by saying, yes this is an amazing motel with just about everything you need for an amazing vacation in Lake George. We did a last minute booking last night and they were able to accommodate us. Brad was very understanding when we told him about the google prices. He also told us a lot about the surrounding areas, he has a lot of knowledge on maple syrup (we asked about surrounding maple syrup farms). Brad was kind enough to set up the sauna and jacuzzi for my wife and I earlier than usual after we told him we would love to try them, even though most people had already checked for the Labor Day weekend. He offered us pool towels, coffee and advice on how to use the sauna, as we were first timers. Brad is an absolute saint, and honestly elevated our experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have an amazing vacation. Heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi, BBQ grills and many many places to relax, what more could...
