While their website says they can handle big rigs, it depends on the site they assign you. We were in site #49 and it is NOT suitable for large RV’s. It could barely fit my 42’ fifth wheel. Even then I had to choose between opening my outside entertainment center or main awning due to a very large tree that was leaning badly into the site. I had only six inches from the slide to the tree on the door side and only eight inches from the slide to the electrical pedestal on the off door side. Yes, those are accurate measurements, I did measure. That problem I could deal with but I had reserved a 50amp site but had to treat it as a 30amp site. The voltage to that site keep dropping to 103 volts when you reached 36-37 amps on one of the legs therefore knocking my Progressive EMS-50 offline. This happened multiple times. Thankfully I had that to keep from burning out appliances. I reported it three days in a row to the office. I even videoed the display and they asked me to email it to them, which I did. I was told they did not have another site to move me too. William in the office told me he would compensate me due to the problem. It is now five days later and no type of compensation has been received. Be very careful of this campground. Edit: 9/7/21 - As I expected, it seems the owner who verbally told me to my face that he would compensate us for our inconvenience simply lied to my...
Read moreStay here!!! My wife and I highly recommend this campground/hotel. We stayed for 6 days and rented a cabin. Friends of ours had a hotel room and others had their campers. The grounds were mowed, clean and amazing. The camper sites were big and spacious ( one camper was a 40 foot fifth wheel! The hotel room our friends had was spotless with a tiny kitchen area and two queen beds ( room 11) . Our cabin was super clean and very cozy. To be honest, the only dilemma we had was that the doors to the cabins had no door handle guts, only could be shut and locked with the dead bolt. But the owners explained they were in the process of installing key codes , and that was totally understandable. All the time we were there the owners and staff were busy accommodating the visitors and keeping the place pristine! The pool was super clean and refreshing ( heated). They have a trail behind the campground that takes you to Lake George ( 2 miles) or Queensbury the other way. They also rent electric bicycles that are a great way to transport to each location. Also for last minute things needed, Dollar General is a two minute walk sown the road. What a great family owned and hospitable place. We booked for another stay and will be adding more !! You will not be disappointed. Thank you for reading...
Read moreSo this is a small family owned campground that "feels" like a relic of a bygone age. That is not a complaint, but does couch my review. This is an adorable little campground and motel. Yes they do offer wi-fi, but everything else seems designed to disconnect and get you away from it all. Communal fire pit late at night, very subdued and "family owned" feel. All family members of 2 generations are nearby but usually working on something. If you are looking for constant attention and fawning, this is not the place. If you want a get away weekend, rent a couple of bikes from adjacent bike rental to go down to Glen Falls and Lake George for an entire day, sample there adjacent wine bar and get some unique curated local wines, this is the place. Disconnect, vibe, connect with nature and your partner in a cozy little cabin for the weekend. For us, this was downright magical. This is definite date night, anniversary, maybe a proposal type getaway secluded weekend. If this is you goal, it delivers 100%. If this is not your goal, maybe you might be better suited elsewhere. A niche market but in that market it nails it! Thank you for a...
