Ok, it’s an old place, but with a good price. One of the horseshoe shape motels on the side of many US highways. It was fairly clean, but it is very, very old and in need of a lot of updating like carpeting (old and stained), old wood wall paneling. I didn’t book this hotel, a company from out of the US I was contracted to work booked this location. Alright, we know it a bargain, older place, here were my main, real issues…the heating for the room is not controlled from the guest rooms. You have to call the lobby manager and either have it on or off. Nothing in the middle. I would leave the heat on until I couldn’t stand it with the windows open and start to break into a sweat and call the front desk, they would turn off the heat.
The beds are hard, small & old (but free of bugs…I checked). They were covered in a protective bed cover. The pillows were rock hard and I had to use them as “Book Ends”, one on each side of my head in order to sleep. There was no way I could lay my head on these and sleep!
The room lighting is very bad and limited; The TV is very old tube TV with about 10 channels. Funny thing is when you check into the front desk for the first time, they give you a TV remote control along with your room key. If you don’t bring the TV remote back, you get charged extra.
The Pros: Price, and it was right next to a Starbuck’s (which I was at any waken moment) and a few rood local restaurants. Free wifi (if you can...
Read moreWell on the website it looks like they have nice rooms somewhere, but I didn't get that room. The area where it's located is really nice. Great little restaurants and the high school across the street, but you walk into this motel and the atmosphere changes. My door barely worked. It looked like someone tried to bust it open at one point and they never fixed it. There was an air conditioning unit, but they took it out and kept all of the pipes and wires sticking out of the wall. I could hear people going to the bathroom clearly while in bed. There was a constant dripping in one of the walls. I smelled weed around 10pm before going to sleep. There was an older man outside trying to mess with this long piece of metal. Don't know what he was doing there. I couldn't bare to sit on anything in there. I didn't bother to take a shower. Everything just felt off and I had a hard time being comfortable there. It was terrible and I paid $125 for it. Hopefully they have better rooms and just haven't gotten to this one yet, but I wouldnt put anyone in that room. I also put a chair in front of the door cause I was so nervous about someone coming in...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 I would. These people (management) don't care about anything but money. They promptly call you at 11:00 am (check out time) to pack your bags or renew. I've been staging here for a couple of days and they don't trust the customer. Yesterday our coffee machine broke (one of the amenities they offer) they said they would get us one right away...we woke up early as we usually do and even though coffee is lousy, it is nice to have some coffee to wake up to. Called the front desk and a very nasty man told us we had to wait until 9:00 am until the manager came. Then he came to knock at our door with a nasty attitude telling us we could go make coffee at another room. When we asked why could he not bring it to our room instead, his reply was that he was not our servant and walked away. The employees that clean the rooms are very nice, they have been there for years. One of them told me anonymously that these people bought the motel 2 years ago and the first thing they did was cut the salaries of everybody that works there...Do yourself a favor, don't go to this place! Management is rude...
