My wife and myself took a trip from Queens all the way to Westchester County to eat in this restaurant based on the reviews and to meet a couple of friends who lived in the area. Honestly, the food was just ok. It is, and never will be good as the original Spicy Shallot in Queens. I was disappointed they did not have the Pearl Harbor like the original one. The Pad Thai was good so I have to give them that. The waitress who served us looked like she had no personality. They were prompt with the food which was good. Nothing was particularly bad or inedible, but nothing wowed us. The best was the eggplant for sure, had lots of flavor and a great spice level. The pad Thai was a little dry and perhaps low on acidity (tamarind and lime). The pad see ew had a smoky flavor that was unexpected. Tom kha was tasty! Massaman was just fine. I chose this place based on the review about “best Thai food since being in Thailand” but I didn’t have the...
