A Great New Addition to Mamaroneck's Seafood Scene!

I recently visited Sound Seafood Market & Sushi at 1137 W Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck, and it’s a fantastic addition to the area! With seafood stores being a rarity around here, it’s refreshing to have such a well-curated market. The owner, Wayne, is a welcoming and friendly person with a wealth of experience—he's been around fish since a young age on Long Island. Wayne’s passion truly shines in every aspect of the store, from his creative ideas for soups, pies, and salads to the quality of the seafood on offer.

During my visit, Wayne kindly gave me a tour of the store, showcasing his dedication to bringing fresh, high-quality seafood to the community. I had the steamed snapper with roasted potatoes and green beans, and it was absolutely delicious! The snapper was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the sides.

Came for the lobster roll. Stayed for the shrimp. And the mussels. And the clams. And the lobster tails. Basically stayed for everything. This place is a gem!

The initial buzz about the lobster roll is what brought me to Sound Seafood. Super tasty, generously portioned and every bite is a reminder that Maine has some serious competition.

Then when it came time to do a mixed seafood paella on the grill there was no question - this is the place. We ordered lobster tail, shrimp, clams and mussels (the sweetest mussels I think I've ever had). Everything had that beautiful sweet seafood smell that's associated with freshness. The lobster tails were perfectly sized and cooked up nicely along with the shrimp and clams. Loved the umami combination. It was a delicious way to welcome summer weather and felt like we were grilling up some sunshine fresh from the sea.

This place is amazing!!! The quality of the fish is unbeatable—whether you’re picking up some fillets for dinner or grabbing sushi, you can always count on it being incredibly fresh and delicious.
