Check in was a disgrace. at 530 pm there should be someone at the front desk. yet i heard the 2 employees, including the manager, (saw her tag) yapping in the back. there's a camera at the front desk so certainly they saw us. yet we waited more than 5 minutes and 2 other parties line up behind us. no apologies for making us wait and we could tell they were just talking about their days, nothing work related. very bad impression of a hotel and how little they care about customers
The hotel was reasonably priced and close to attractions, restaurants, and easy parking. One thing I neglected to discover before my stay is that the sinks are in the bedroom, not the bathroom and i hate it. When you get out of the shower theres no room to stand in the tiny room. also the sliding pocket door is very hard to open and close and it appeared to have about 2 inches of space you could pass through something. Id never seen any door have that much space on the bottom. with this kind of door theres no sound privacy so if you care about that you cannot stay here. the positives were that there were towel bars over the toilet for the bathtowels . last place i stayed didnt have this. the carpets especially in the halls are old and dirty, stained.
One huge plus is that AC unit does NOT clunk when it turns on and off, i had a horrible experience at another hotel recently. also i was told there are 3 large parties at the hotel but i was far from the elevator and it wasnt bad at all. so make sure you ask to be far from the elevator. you are not supposed to turn left out of the hotel but traffic wasnt too bad and i was able to most times with ease. the tiny tv is a joke in todays day and age. id estimate its 20 inch maybe. there was a chair at an awkward position near the bed and under a light attached to the wall and made things cramped for such a large room. fridge was ice cold. curtains do not keep out the parking lot lights at night. shower is the most bizarre shape i ever saw. like a coffin sort of. it's weird sloped even at the ceiling. and door lets water all over the floor. not tight at all.
overall lighting is very dim. even in broad daylight the room wasnt really that bright. at night, forget it. large wardrobe to hang many things. good outlets next to the beds for phones. no service for your stay unless you ask. we didnt bother. didnt want to be disappointed when they didnt show up. and they have the nerve to leave a tip envelope when they literally dont come in your room for 3 days. bizarre. ill research somewhere else next time im...
Read morerefused to take cash for rooms after a fire, gave no discount despite red cross involvement proving the fire, & the front desk people gave is wrong info multiple times.
the key cards are a problem here, getting wiped & reset multiple times for most of the guests I spoke with & I went through more than 3 myself.
their included guest wifi is shamefully slow at 4.25 mbs downloads & under 2 mbs upload, so don't expect to get much work done on their free wifi.
the rest of the staff was super friendly, helpful & available when needed.
the rooms were immaculate, smelled mildly like sandalwood soaps & lotion they give with room, came with all the amenities like coffee maker, hair dryer, heated shower, mini fridge, microwave, armoire & drawer & luggage rack among others.
the hotel has a swimming pool, fitness center, outdoor seating in rear & places to smoke outside. the breakfast is one of best perks as it includes eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juices, tea & more. delicious.
the guests are mostly travelers, vacationers & workman from out of town, lost count of all the work trucks parked out back, all taking up 2 spots each for some reason. no loud parties or loud noises. don't hear traffic from rear side where I was.
I do recommend those like me with mobility issues request rooms close to elevator as it's only on one side of a very very long hallway.
located across from a big Walmart store & very convenient to Lake George, glens falls & surrounding areas.
about $100+ taxes & fees per week night, goes up on weekends & I suggest using price line to reserve as they can save up to $40 a night! I was there from a fire, so paid full price...

Returned to desk and Kelly desk clerk came to room, she had trouble with her master, thought something wrong with door, finally got it open with hers. I suggested maybe changing rooms as this seems to be a problem. Kelly thought it would be fine. I left room for a few minutes, came back and keys didn’t work, returned to desk and once again the same keys in the machine and I guess the machine said they would now work. I made 5 or maybe even six trips to the front desk and finally got a key to work but only 1 of 2. I was very nervous about this key situation and really thought maybe a different room, thinking what if this door lock malfunctions and I am locked in my room. The next day Saturday I was gone for the day returned at about 9:30 PM, again my keys didn’t work. I only had to make 2 trips to see Kelly before I got a key that worked. Sunday left hotel about 10AM and returned again around 9:30 PM to find my room had not been made up other then removing towels and adding fresh ones, bed not made, no replacement soaps or lotions. I went downstairs and told Kelly “my problem today is my room was not made up.” She of course apologized though it wasn’t her fault. I said to her, I should be getting a free room for the aggravation. Visiting family that live in the area and thought I made the right choice but I guess not. That is why...
