What a Nightmare of a experience. My family and I closed on a lovely property near hotel indigo, and after cleaning and preparing for our upcoming move day we stayed at hotel indigo East End after our celebratory day. Upon entry to our room there was a horrific musty odor, and we were overwhelmed with drunk people stumbling and extremely loud all over the hallways.
Despite our tumultuous discomfort we tried our best to settle when we noticed a bug in the bed. Shortly, thereafter another huge bug was crawling from the ceiling and heading towards the beds. We were so disturbed, our kids were scared and we were disgusted by the infested room, so we called the front desk to change our rooms and have management remove the insect. The manager came to observe the bug and screamed and ran out the room stating your on your own. We are all booked and that's a stink bug and I cannot help you.
We asked for a refund to go to another hotel. He refused stating in comparison to other guest our room rate was inexpensive and he could not help us. We explained we were exhausted and tired and had two children who needed to rest as it was near midnight. The manager walked away and refused to help us. We packed out belongings up and again asked for help when he began a shouting match in the hotel lobby to the point where my family had to call the police because he was aggressive and treated us in such a horrifying manner to the point where we feared for our personal wellbeing . It was a nightmare and the worst part of this situation was we are diamond members at IHG and have never felt so abused, dishonored, and mistreated in any property owned by IHG.
The next day we reached out to the manger to request a refund and file a complaint. She defended her worker and started to victim shame our family. She started telling us what guest felt and gossiping about the wedding that was in residence. We explained to her that we were treated so inhumane and indigent. All she cared about was how bad for the business the dispute was but disregarded, diminished, and minimized our experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with children and especially anyone looking for a safe place after a celebratory life moment. Please do not have any functions in this place. It is not clean and the staff are rude, dismissive,...
Read moreI would give this hotel 0 stars if I could. We had our hotel block here a few months and the hotel ended up overbooking. They started moving guests without calling them. The guests would show up only to be told they were being moved to a different hotel. Upon speaking with the assistant manager, he informed us that there was nothing that could be done as it was the guest's fault that they were being moved. He spoke all about himself telling me he understood exactly how I felt because a similar situation had happened at his sister's wedding a few months earlier. I told him respectfully that he had no idea how I was feeling. He lied to me about how many guests were moved and when confronted about it, he told me "he would go check more thoroughly". I met with the head manager on Monday to discuss what had happened over the weekend, only for her to tell us a different story. Everyone we spoke with had a different excuse for what had happened, when it was very clear that they had just overbooked the rooms for the weekend. The elevators smelled like someone had been smoking in there (and this was all weekend long). The staff gave us a hard time about refilling the propane on the patio for the firepits and fireplaces. The hospitality suite we paid (a good amount of money for) was locked when we arrived, and hadn't been cleaned from the night before. The amount of unnecessary stress they added to our wedding weekend still makes me so upset. This is a weekend I can never get back and the way they treated myself, my husband, my family, and all the guests was just completely unacceptable. I will never stay at Hotel Indigo again, and will highly consider never staying at IHG hotels because of this. The lack of empathy and understanding was...
Read moreThe minute you step into Hotel Indigo you will feel welcome. The front desk personnel want you to enjoy you stay. The entire lobby is very clean. The outdoor grounds are impeccably manicured and the landscaping is very pretty. The gated pool is clean and decorated tastefully with flowers. In addition there are couches, tables and lawn chairs. The pool attendant makes rounds taking orders for drinks, food, and will bring ice water. You'll get as many beach towels as you need. The Restaurant, Bistro 72, has indoor and outdoor seating. service is good. Food is better than average, Breakfast is delicious. Lunch: the Cobb Salad and Chicken sandwich are good. The dinner menu could use a few more choices. The bar area has several TVs, a granite counter and a Bartender named Anthony who provides excellent customer service. The room is decorated nicely but is a bit small. Good for two people. The Beds are very comfortable. The Air Conditioning is good & has a temp control on the wall that works well. Bathroom is clean. One mishap and a huge disappointment was the bed sheet had a stain on it. It was late at night when we turned the bed over and saw it. Housekeeping had gone for the day and the front desk had security deliver us a set of sheets. We were too tired to remove the stained sheet and remake the bed so we just put the clean sheet over the stained sheet. I must say in the morning Manager Michael understood how distasteful this was and made up for this issue beyond my expectations. Choose a Poolside room you will be happy. In retrospect my stay at Hotel Indigo East End was very enjoyable except for the sheet issue. I would have given a 5 star rating had it not been for the sheet issue. Therefore I rate this...
