I used to love this place. When they first opened, the barista and the manager were super-friendly and their coffees are wonderful. Plus, they're dog-friendly. They also served sandwiches on one of our visits, so we assumed they always served them. It's about a 2 hour drive to Riverhead so I called ahead to them to check to see if they would have food that day - I said we were coming for "lunch" and they just said, yes, we're open. When we got there we realized they had nothing other than pastries. The barista was disinterested and swiping on her phone. When I said I called earlier to ask about lunch, she shrugged and said, "we don't serve sandwiches." The coffee I had (regular black with cream and sugar) was delicious and such rich and delightful flavor it actually tasted like coffee.. rather than getting processed coffee from other places. Café Victoria imports their coffee and you can taste the difference.
The cookie being warmed up was such a touch of customer loyalty I’ve never seen before. I didn’t even haft to ask!
