PLEASE READ ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH A GROUP!!!!
My experience was completely horrible but I would definitely not come again. My boyfriend and I lead a church group of young adults (20-35yrs old) and we decided to take them here to hang out.
Before entering the park, I almost fell because of their unstable sidewalks. I completely scraped up my foot and had to seek first aid.
After that my group and I were enjoying ourselves, we rented a cabana in Surf City and I told the cabana personnel we were a group of 9 in a cabana for 6 and if that was ok and the employee said yes and proceeded to give us 6 pink cabana bracelets. After an hour in we notice security in front of the cabana entrance, he then proceeded to tell us SplishSplash Security is being very strict on everyone entering cabanas and needing a pink bracelet and everyone in our group needed a pink bracelet and we would need to get 3 more from the cabana employees. After back and forth with security, we went back to cabana rental. First of all, no one was there to help us when we went and when we finally found someone they told us they couldnt give us 3 extra bands and we would have to hand the 3 people without THEIR things over the fence. We spent an hour of our day fighting back and forth and being told 3 different things from the employees
The best part of this was that when we went back to the cabana…SECURITY WAS GONE AND NEVER CAME BACK! So not only did we waste time but they lied to us about security being stationed there.
The next thing that happened was 2 of our people got sick from the food there. They both had the chicken tenders and one of them immediately after eating 2 tenders realized it didnt taste right and ran to throw up. The other continued eating and was nauseous the rest of the time.
On this day it was wayyyyy over crowded and a fight broke out. I dont know about Splish Splash policy but I believe there should be a limit on how many enter the park because the amount of people in the lazy river alone was insane. One employee literally let like 20 people in at once to get a tube float and it was pure chaos!
This place is great when you aren’t being lied to, time wasted, food poisoned or pushed for a floaty. Plus the tickets are wayyyy too over priced for us to have a day like that!
They really need to get their stuff straight. I don’t plan to...
Read moreThe only good review I have is about the variety of water slide options and variety splash park/slide options for toddlers. Other than that I have nothing but bad things to say about the life guards and staff working here. I’ve been going to splish splash since I was alittle girl. My dad would take me multiple times a summer and I remember how fun and exciting it use to be to go and life guards being fun. Well this was the complete opposite with the experience of being the parent. The life guards are VERY unorganized and not on the same page about the rules across the park especially the KIDDIE AREAS. The rules seemed to change based on life guard. One life guard working was allowing adults down with toddlers and then the minute a new life guard came it was nipped and said this is not allowed which becomes confusing to us adults and toddlers. The life guards in the kiddie section were nasty and using harsh tones forwards TODDLERS. Not directing them appropriately, giving parents problems for just making sure their babies were getting down ok. I had a life guard yell at me for trying to catch my toddler, she’s 2 it was her first time on the slide I wasn’t sure how she would react with going under the water with her floaty and the man yelled at me asked what I was doing as he wasn’t even standing relatively close to the slides telling me to hurry my Child on out etc. it’s one thing to be nasty towards adults who are unkind to you about things but when it comes to babies and young children that’s quite embarrassing. This is a place that should be fun for families and our children and the rude and unfriendliness is such a turn off. The staff at the ticket windows have no clue what their doing either as we came for the first time this summer so the a season pass and as we approached the window the guy said “how can I help you” we said we have a season pass and he said “ and what do you want me to do with it” we were suppose have a picture taken, get a free souvenir cup and get our free guest tickets? Are they not being trained properly? They sure aren’t speaking to people properly. We love splish splash but are VERY DISAPPOINTED by the...
Read moreI visited Splish Splash for the first time July 20 with mixed results. My family and friends traveled together as a 26-person group. We rented a premium cabana - Hang Ten Hideaway, it was very accommodating. The park itself seems to suffer from the wear-and-tear of a lot of foot traffic, but nothing a fresh coat of paint and mortar couldn't fix. My biggest issue is Splish Splash not delivering as advertised. I purchased a Summer season pass and CLEARLY on the amenities list it states 20% off for cabana rentals and merchandise. It was explained to me that you must pay for your Cabana first, then get reimbursed at the cabana reservation counter at the park, which we did. Upon getting there we were told that a supervisor needed to be present to process that discount and that we could go to the cabana in the meantime and someone would be by shortly to assist. Needless to say we started having fun throughout the park and an agent for cabanas never came. Only when I got home did I remember their cabana rep never met with us. Upon calling Splish Splash and asking if the discount would be honored, I was informed that "they don't offer discounts for luxury cabanas" (?!) SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT.... you boldly advertise these new lux cabanas you want everyone to buy, you have NO indication on your website anywhere that cabana rentals have any stipulation at all... then when it's time to honor the agreement you balk. Smh, I saw the endless negative feedback before I went and still decided to give you a chance because my family persuaded.... only for you to let us down like you have so many patrons lately. I live in Brooklyn and traveled 90 min to your park, and you don't even honor your own promotions. If not for the fact that we actually had a good time, I'd rate led stars. Bait & Switch is one of the most annoying business practices there is. My advice to those still reading.... just go to Great Adventure or Great Wolf Lodge if it want a professionally...
