My stay at this Hampton Inn Woodbury this weekend was excellent! I would stay here again!
First off, I have to give a kiddos to Ish at the front desk who was very helpful, professional, and checked us in quickly, and helped us with anything we needed during our stay. He was awesome, as well as another young guy at the desk (which I forgot his name, but wore a purple shirt, he was great as well!) The hotel lobby is very inviting and spacious to relax and get work done.
The indoor pool and spa was very nice! The pool was larger than we expected, and the hot tub was also an added bonus, and a great way to unwind after a long day. Another bonus- the pool and spa closes at 12 midnight every day which is awesome as well! Fitness center is nice as well although we did not use it during our stay. Guest Laundry is on the 2nd floor, and only has 2 machines, but it is still helpful having it in the hotel.
Now the room (King Room 139)- The room was very clean upon arrival, and the room is very nice and quiet don’t get me wrong, but it does look a bit dated with the furniture, and there’s also minor visible cracks on the ceilings in the bathroom and by the bed. The first floor view we had wasn’t nothing special either. The king bed was comfortable and clean. The room has a coffee maker, microwave, and a mini fridge. There are outlets all over the room and USB ports on the left side of the bed which is nice. Bathroom is also nice and clean, but also dated as well, the shower is good but very dated. Not complaining at all because the stay was excellent, but these are small things that can be improved hopefully overtime. Another small issue was the TV and WIFI, the TV was decent, but had connection issues at times, and the free WIFI was rather slow but had 5G signal on my phone which was fine.
The free buffet breakfast was great! You can make your own waffles, they had eggs, bacon, healthy options, bagels, and juices and free coffee from 6-10am. They also have a hot coffee bar 24/7 for guests.
Also this hotel is very convenient because it’s the only closest hotel with a pool to the Woodbury commons and stores like Walmart, Best Buy and Home Depot, and a lot of restaurants nearby. Other hotels are in Middletown or Goshen which is 20 minutes away, but we wanted a hotel that’s the closest and this hotel hit it out of...
Read moreThe experience was pleasant; especially the last day was really impressive and warm. I checked out before 11am and then started 4 hours Outlet shopping. In the meantime, my husband was taking care of my 4-year-old daughter at the lobby. A cold day tedious shopping / walking was indeed tired, while I could not imagine how suffering it could be for both my daughter and husband. I contacted my husband but his reply cheered me up. He told me that even though it was really sleepy, there were two hotel staffs were helping to find amusement.
During the lunch time, the father and daughter were sitting at the eating area, when Rana, one of the kitchen clerks carefully clean the ground with trying to avoid disturbing the guests. They talked with Rana about the trip, the family and the food. When Rana finished his work and before going home, he friendly came to the daddy with crayons and your hotel plate drawings. He kindly introduced how to play and how to pass the time when he was at the airport. I believe he is both a warm-hearted staff and a good father.
Ms. Adina, the front desk clerk was the other of them. She heard the challenge when Rana softly talked to her. So when there was a chance between the work break, she was trying to play little games with my daughter and bring blank paper with cartoon figures for the little girl to render. Adina also brings candy to cheer up my daughter. They had a good conversation together. My husband thanked her while Adina said this is her duty to make us feel at home when we visited. BTW, my husband got to know Adina was at the time when we were looking for my daughter's new fur jacket. It was a big surprise when lost at breakfast and found at 10pm.
The hotel cost is a little bit pricy. We are looking for further discount or promotion when budget allowed, we will be also appreciated if the SPA water can be a bitter fresher. Anyway the swimming pool area is arranged neat, clean and...
Read moreArrived late at night, but noticed the bed was missing sheets, but my wife and I were too tired to resolve. The bathroom was full of hair (not ours). I reported the issues to the desk in the morning. They committed to resolving the next day. I returned 14 hours later. The room had not been touched. I petitioned the night manager for new bedding and proceeded to make the bed. The sheets were already on the bed, wadded up at the foot, under the cover(no comforter was preset). However, the sheets were dirty and a used bandage was in them. The night manager saw it and snagged it. However, we were revolted. We remade the bed, as the hotel was 100% full. The night manager recorded the issue with our request to get a call from the manager. The desk confirmed that the request and issues were recorded the next day. We contacted the hotel online to lodge the complaint when no call came. In the week since, no attempt to apologize or make things right has been made. In general, the hotel is long in the tooth. The A/C squealed like a jet engine coming up to speed every time it kicked on. Find another place. I’ve been a diamond member with Hilton for years. Switching...
