Management is a mess at Woodspring Suites Allentown and no amount of training can improve anything from top to the bottom.
I checked in on 8/21/24 till 9/9/24 which was clearly mentioned on the “Registration Card”.
On my checking out on 8/8/24 after 19 nights stay I was charged extra $152.71 without any reasons and several excuses were made like the phone system is bad and broken, staff is new and it took almost 3 weeks of several attempts before I got that refunded on 8/27/24.
On my current checking in on 8/21/24, I was additionally charged incorrectly for $148.34 beside my $370.99 charge for the week. The reason given by manager Mayra was that the machine is very sensitive and sometimes does this. Of course not poor system but poor management and inconvenience for the customer.
Manny charged me for the week and I told him that I will not be coming to hotel on Sep 3 and 4 and will be here on Sep 5th evening. Manny told me to call on Sep 4th which I did and the message went to the answering system. Knowing the poor management I emailed the manager Mayra Fernandez that I will pay on Sep 5 after 4 PM.
The door card did not work on the rooms and I went to the front desk where Manny who seems to be on high said that I had checked out on Sep 4 myself. I told him that he must be confused since I was working at my job for 48 hours. He kept on saying that we have closed the folio since you have removed all the items from the room.
The following were missing items when I returned on 9/4/24 1600: Olive oil, oat meal, eggs, bread, cheese, garlic, grapes 3 lbs, detergent and scrub, onion, tomato, papaya, bagels, yogurt, cup that my mother gave me with almonds, lentils with jar, watermelon, exercise mat, Mikasa tea cup plate, travelers teacup.
Manny in between said illogical and strange things like he is not responsible, he does not know who did this, he is not responsible for every one, take the offer of $75 per night or otherwise leave since he cannot do anything, he does not know about my items etc.
Mayra gave me her number with the instructions not to call after 5 PM. I called her 4:15 PM and rather than apologizing for her staffs behavior she asked me “ why did I call her on her cell phone number “ which she has given me herself a week ago for any such situations. She also told Manny to tell me not to call her any more. What a world class manager! She cannot be a manager of any hotel anywhere in the world if someone wants to run a good business.
I went to front desk at night on 9/5/24 and a different lady was there, I showed her the photo of my lamp and she asked Mayra who acknowledge that they have the lamp in their possession in the room behind front desk. But she did not ask her to give it to me then but asked me to come back after 10 AM on 9/6/24.
Table nightstand lamp returned after much deliberation by Manny on 9/6/24 1110. Manny was in between saying one date and thinking about the other. He has done this on at least three occasions where I had to correct him that we are taking about Sep 5,6,7, 8 and not 15, 16, 17 and 18 nights.
Manny again aggressive impolite and repetitively said “end of the talk” as if under some compulsion.
All has been communicated to the Choice hotel management and they have not done anything except for wasting my time, sending unnecessary emails and asking me to deal with those insane...
Read moreThis place was a nightmare. We were in the middle of relocating and needed a extended stay well we spent two weeks in this place and not once we were able to sleep. The rooms smell terrible. There's prostitution, drugs, party, I mean you name it and it's there. We were forced to stay because the warden I mean the manager will not refund our money back. I felt like I was in a jail with my kids we were too afraid to come out, if you needed towels you have to go to the front office and ask the C/O's for towels sorry I meant the staff and they will only give you two for four people, in addition if you needed toilet paper you were only allow one every two days orders of the "Warden" or should I say the manager. There's no cleaning your rooms unless you want to pay extra. They have signs posted for no smoking unless 25 feet from the building but yet everyone smokes right by the back entrance including the staff. They claim they have cameras and some staff members are residing in the premises well not true the parties were out of control and no one did anything. We had to call the police twice during our stay. This is the best part "The Warden" aka manager goes in people's rooms without authorization searching thru people's belongings long story short she search someone's room found drugs showed the drugs to everyone and anyone that walked to the front office as well as alcohol mind you a lot of this people are under age that work in Dorney Park but she never notified the police or turned in the drugs. I had never in my life seen a place like this and me and my husband travel a lot. If you want to know how it feels to be treated like a inmate this is the place for you. I have been out of that hotel since October. And as a few days ago was charged over a $1000 I am a single mom of two teenagers the landlord of the house. I renting for 3 1/2 years was selling the house I try for three mouths to find something in the same area to keep my kids in same school they both play football and Wrestling so we stay at the woods Springs in september to the middle of october I payed 1003.84 Every other sunday the last week I payed early on Friday for two more week the next day my kids were play around and the crazy Manager Came banging on my door and threatening us to kick us out yelling and Cursing at my kids I find a apt that day and we moved out I ask for my two week back over a 1000 dollar plus my 100 and they would not return my money I wrote A bad review and the manager called and said she would give me my money back 500 some dollars which she lied and never got back.
