Kuhnsville Hotel — Restaurant in Upper Macungie Township

OH MY! What a pleasant surprise! We were in town for work. We were staying at the Holiday Inn next door. I first thought by the google search the bar was in a hotel and by the picture, I had the wrong place. However, when you go from the bar and grill on google to the website it changes from bar and grill to hotel on the app. ( a tad confusing because Im not from here) But IT IS a hotel! (booked) but the bar and grill are in the bottom area! So, don't skip over this place thinking it is a hotel only! SUPER FOOD! We were met by Kate.. the waitress. She was so kind and welcoming! Then we met Kathryn... (Kate again :-) who cooked while making sure we had everything we needed while waiting on our order. Then we met Katie....( Kate again) who was the cashier/clean up! She is amazing. They don't take cards! Be prepared because you are going to want to tip well. Best experience ever while expecting much less. You must try the steak sandwich or steak anything. I had a salad with the steak on top, my husband had the sandwich. We couldn't have been more impressed. Cant wait to go back for Karaoke which I hear may be.... KATE... While it may not be for everyone, this smoking bar with an exceptionally delicious and especially thrifty menu that's short on options but big on authenticity was exactly what I was looking for after a long, hard day at work. The staff gets extra points for going out of their way to learn about their customers and their lives, rather than just serving them and forgetting them. Next time I'll repeat my order of a $6.25 Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a crock of Lobster & Crab Bisque washed down with an affordable Pabst Blue Ribbon draft and a shot of one of my favorites: Screwball Peanut...

One of the few bars you can still smoke inside. The staff was friendly and extremely attentive. She was keeping an eye on my drink and and emptying out my ashtray when I got too full. I didn't even have to ask. I came in to have a couple beers. I guess something to eat got a steak and cheese sandwich with mushrooms, onions, pickled peppers and it was awesome. Huge portion and it came with chips and it was perfect. Couldn't have asked for anything better. I'll definitely be stopping here again next time I come...
