Restaurant Review: A Slice of Italy
I recently had the pleasure of ordering from A Slice of Italy, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I placed my order to the timely delivery, everything was top-notch, including the food and service.
To begin with, I ordered their wings and garlic knots as appetizers, and they were simply outstanding. The wings were cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat on the inside. The sauce options provided the right balance of flavors, and I particularly enjoyed the tangy buffalo sauce. As for the garlic knots, they were heavenly. Soft, fluffy, and infused with just the right amount of garlic and butter, each bite was a delightful burst of flavor.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the classic spaghetti and meatballs. Let me tell you, it was truly a comforting and satisfying dish. The pasta was cooked al dente, just as it should be, and the meatballs were juicy and well-seasoned. The tomato sauce was rich, flavorful, and complemented the dish perfectly. It was evident that the chefs at A Slice of Italy take great pride in their traditional Italian recipes.
To wash it all down, I had a refreshing Mountain Dew, which was the perfect beverage choice to accompany my meal. The carbonation and citrusy flavor provided a nice contrast to the savory dishes, and it added a pleasant zest to the overall dining experience.
The service provided by A Slice of Italy was impeccable. The delivery was prompt, and the food arrived still warm, which is always a plus. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my order was accurate and that I had everything I needed.
In conclusion, A Slice of Italy exceeded my expectations in every way. The quality of the food was exceptional, the service was fantastic, and the delivery was timely. Whether you're craving wings, garlic knots, pasta, or any other Italian delicacy, I highly recommend giving A Slice of Italy a try. I will undoubtedly be ordering from them again in the...
Read moreOverpriced for quality of food. 20$ for salad, 19$ for cheeseburger. Food is high tier pricing with some oddly overpriced items. Pierogis are way overpriced, almost 10$ and they are not homemade or sautéed, just bulk plain potato frozen junk. Extra salad dressing cost more than purchasing an entire bottle at a store, and almost 1$ to add a slice of tomato or a slice of lettuce to a sandwich is ridiculous. The fact that they chage additional to add ketchup, mustard or Mayonnaise to a burger was off putting. The bacon cheese fries were good, salads were good and fresh, a little light on the meat for antipasto imo. I was not a fan of the pizza, it was very dry and the cheese was not fully melted, nor the meat cooked well. It was wet and soggy from.meat juice instead of a bit greasy. Maybe some enjoy this, I don't. I had to throw out the over priced Pierogis, as they put unsanitary condiment packs mixed in with them. This is a health code violation, and the should honestly be reported for this. Condiment packs are not sanitized, or designed to be food safe. Honestly with the odd pricing, mediocre food, and the unsanitary practices, I won't eat here again. They should be reported for health violations honestly.
On a side note, I see they have responded to other comments that their prices are inline with most resturants of the same type, but they definitely are not. For starters, they are at least 33% more than most. I don't mind paying higher prices, but the quality isn't there, and the extras are stupidly insane for prices. They obviously don't care about customers if their justification is the align costs with "other resturants ". Sure they are a business, and need to make money, but there is a difference between being reasonable and...
Read moreIt happened again, another great lunch..over and over continuously the most delicous food I have eaten. Some restaurants are like a new broom... They sweep good for a while but after time need to be replaced, because they loose their luster... NOT SO for Slice of Italy, since day one, they still serve the freshest most delicous and afordable food we have eaten or recomended to our guest!
II normally don't take the time to rate restaurants, but I am making an exception for Slice of Italy in Allentown. Being a Manager of a hotel I am constantly approached by restaurants to hand out their menu to guest that are staying at the hotel. Slice of Italy was no different; they are new to the area and asked if we would recommend them. Before doing so I made a stop by their restaurant. I could tell that the owners took very much pride in the cleanliness and were extremely pleasant and eager to please. I ordered the large Carini Special, $8.50 it was absolutely delicious and took 3 days to finish it. I knew right then and there this was going to be one of our favorite Italian Restaurants that we would recommend to our guest. Since then about 2 dozen orders were delivered to our guest and not one complaint what so ever. Unlike others that we have used in the past, who have been unreliable and inconsistent, Slice of Italy has not let us down. Not only have we been recommending them to our guest, they are also the favorite of all of the hotel employees. Try the Steak Salad, it is out...
