BED BUGS! I had a work trip 17th-20th march 2025. I came in late maybe 930-10ish checked in went to room. Crushed. Feel bite all over arms legs so i got up turn lights on, try to find what is going on. Tried seeing something which was too tired went to second bed to be woke up with bites again this time same bite marks, and bed bug on bed which took a pic video and called front desk asap. Clothes i was wearing put in a bag and rest kept in back pack hoping none went in to my back pack and or lay eggs. Which one i saw was a full grown adult one. After video and photo killed it left him on towel i used to kill. They put me to first floor which they had NO PROTOCOL in writing or anything was told to wait to see manager i morning. Instead of going to convention waited for manager to hopefully have a good plan so i DONT bring it back to my house! Met manager. As if this happen every day and it is NO BIG deal not even an apology, not a plan in writing, not calling pest control to make sure nothing is in my clothes or back pack NOTHING! I called her out and said im shocked by the accountability and zero care her answer: dont wana fight you. Well not even a apology for situation after a hell of a night and clothes which i asked them to throw away in a back (we put them tied before they threw away) gone nothing! Nada! Other room was fine, how things were handled is a different story. And after doing more questioning to other employees in hotel comes to find second floor have BRD BUG issues knowing this no plan in writing to take care of customers. I have never encountered this with a Hilton. This is NOT a Hilton hotel but a cheap motel expectancy. So do yourself a favor DO NOT stay here. When owners and management hurt financially after a tear or two they will understand what they did is NOT ok. Not to talk about my clothes i threw away was worth that 100buck plus no sleep? Read moreI was all over the place when selecting a one night, Saturday night stay for a trip to Ann Arbor to move a friend into Michigan U. |I’m a H H Diamond member and was using points for the stay and was booking a room later in the game. Some of the reviews of this hotel on different sites really had me holding my breath. |Victoria assigned me a room when I called two days before requesting a top floor quiet room. She was very nice and very accommodating.||We pulled in that hot summer evening and there was a Dimond Member parking spot open for parking, but right next to where smokers gather. We were very tired and just went right to the room with the digital check in and key which was great. Walking into the room the first impression was stuffy and drywall smelling. Oh no ! But they are just finishing up renovations of the hotel and it was a 90 degree day with the room ac unit not turned down and the fan on low. We were on the top floor. |Once the ac was set on 65 with the fan high, the room was nice and the drywall smell went away. The room was nice, clean and modern.|Not many channels on the tv, but plenty of places to plug stuff in, had a microwave and refrigerator. And I really liked the night lights in the bathroom. I was told the mattresses were replaced in the room renovations. |Breakfast could have had raisins and walnuts on the buffet along with oat milk or almond milk. It’s been a good stay. Nice and quiet room we wanted. And hotel is new like. Nothing like in the negative reviews. We had reserved three rooms 3 nights. One of the rooms I went to pay with my cash app card, It was declined because I did not have the full amount of the room available. So I paid with my other credit card. A few minutes later, the Cash App notified me. That Hampton Inn had taken $300 off of my Cash App card. I went up to the front desk and told them that the money was taken out and my credit card was charged double period they were unable to help me. It is now 1 week after that event. I have contacted Hampton corporate office. I still have not received my money back. I feel this is robbery. I have contacted and have a copy of the chat with Cash App. They tell me the merchant has a hold on my card. And until they release it, I cannot have access to the money. please understand My credit cards paid for all 3 rooms in full. I was actually charged double for all of these rooms because ahold was put on them for 5 days for double the room amounts. Corporate office simply says it's a third party app that has taken the money. And we have no choice in the matter, my money is still not available to me. I am just so thankful that I had other resources I could use if not I don't know what I would have done. PS still waiting...
