Very disappointed in this Culver's location. I'll bullet point my thoughts:
---The parking lot is atrocious. It's so poorly designed and tight, and often the drive-through line goes out into the street (super unsafe). The people waiting after the drive-through for their hot food are sort of in the way and again makes the lot super tight. ---It's unclear if the dining room is open or not. Can't find any information online about this and there are no visible signs about this. I shouldn't have to call... ---Flavor of the day isn't advertised on signs. Every time I've been to this location I've had to either look it up online as I'm sitting in the drive-through line or ask the person taking my order what it is.
Thoughts on my specific experience on 6/13/2021:
---Drive-through line was out into the street when we got there, and moved SOOOOOO SLOWLY ---I had to look up Flavor of the day online because I saw no signs. I also saw no signs designating if the dining room was open or not. We went through the drive-through and my spouse ordered FOTD in a dish, I ordered FOTD in a cone. It took forever to get up to the window to pay and get our custard. ---I was handed a tiny little cone with maybe 1.5 inches of custard sticking out the top, and it was clearly plain chocolate custard. We immediately questioned this and asked if said cone was FOTD and the cashier somewhat rudely said, "Yeah it is, it's just all mixed in." Ummmmm, no. It wasn't. My spouse was handed his perfectly good looking FOTD dish that contained cookie dough, caramel, vanilla custard, and chocolate custard. We felt rushed through and I wish I would've questioned the chocolate cone more and asked for a replacement. ---Because the dining room isn't open and we live far enough away that even in an A/C vehicle the custard would melt before we get home, we wanted to park and eat in the lot. Well, because the lot is so god-awful and had no vacancies, we had to go to another business down the road to park and eat. That to me takes away the entire Culver's experience. ---The chocolate custard-looking cone was in fact just solid chocolate all the way through. So, they gave me the wrong one and even insisted that it was correct after I questioned it. I was so, so disappointed. And because the dining room was closed, I couldn't go in and ask for a replacement; I would've had to go back to the line out into the street and wait all over again. What a terrible experience.
I definitely won't be back to this Belleville location and I am going to wait a long while before I go back to any location (Ann Arbor, Westland, etc). I'm very disappointed in Culver's during the pandemic. The drive-through experience has...
Read moreUnbelievable experience. I am completely baffled by this. I know for a fact that in the past I have had mint flavored custard. I walked in here this afternoon forgetting that it's called custard and I wanted to get ice cream which is my mistake but then once I was told it was custard I thought that's fine. I'll get some mint flavored custard then I was told they don't have it they only have vanilla or chocolate or the flavor of the day. And the guy was talking to me with so much information it was overwhelming and all I wanted to do was look at the menu board then another woman who is a few feet away from him who had a register in her hands comes over and starts talking to me explaining about the flavor of the day and how that might have been meant at one time but it isn't today. Okay fine but now I have them both talking to me at the same time giving me practical lessons about how they make their flavors and it was just too much. So I stepped away to try to look at the board on my own without interruption and then I noticed to my left was an entire case of flavors and it says Frozen Custard with plenty of pints of mint and then another employee saw me looking and then she offered to help me and I said why was I told you don't have mint. And then she said that's not really meant and I said well it says meant. I feel like a fool even saying all this as I write it. Saying it out loud sounds so ridiculous but this is exactly what happened. So I've got three different opinions that are all contradictory of what you people are selling then I think I need to leave and go to Dairy queen. Where I will not get a lesson and I can just simply order directly from what they sell with clear understanding of what...
Read moreI frequent this culver's often but I see, via other complaints, it's under new management which makes a lot of sense and will cause me to patronize a different location! My family and I went through the drive thru after dinner to get ice cream treats to take home. My husband ordered a vanilla shake which looks like they just put Vanilla custard in a cup. I ordered a banana split and the girl brought it out with no lid and a spoon. I asked for a cover and she repeated "a cover? " as if I asked for something foreign! I informed her that I didn't intend to eat it right away and asked for a cover again and a bag to which she again repeated my request as if I asked for something unusual. She then took it back in the window, came back with the melting split saying " we don't have anymore sorry ". I called and spoke to the manager Lindsay who cut me off while I was trying to explain what happened, put me on hold, then came back and told me the lid was under the split. I asked why the employee couldn't explain that and why she lied and said there weren't anymore. Lindsay very shortly stated she didn't know but she'd talk to her and told me to have a good day! I'm appalled by the lack of service/ blatant disregard for the bad experience! I understand that it was very busy during my visit but they need to staff a manager who is equipped and properly skilled to work in that environment. It's no wonder the employee lied and didn't know what she was doing being under such poor leadership. The office needs more training on providing proper...
