HOTEL ITSELF IS TRASH. My husband and I booked a room for our daughter's birthday on 6/30/25. When we first arrived to the hotel, the parking lot was unkempt: trash everywhere, overgrown trees and shrubs, etc. We looked past that because you never know with landscapers these days. When we walked into the building it was VERY hot was humid, and it smelled very musty and like mildew. The young man at the counter was nice, and he got us checked in quickly when we arrived around 4pm. Our room ended up being on the first floor, right around the corner from the washer/dryer. The hallways smelled of stale cigarette and marijuana smoke. The carpets were dirty, the walls dingy, and half of the lights in the hallway were way too dim. When we got to our room, it wasn't the cleanest. There was hair in the bathtub/shower; dirt all over the ledge of the in-room jacuzzi; dead flies next to the jacuzzi; the bathroom floor clearly hasn't been swept or mopped anytime recent as there was dirt and dust all over the floor and the wall; and the toilet was dirty. The exhaust fan was disgusting and the ceiling had mold all over it. Our room only had two towels and one rag for three people! We immediately got changed and went down to the pool, as that's what our daughter wanted to do. Sometime between 7pm and 7:30pm, we left the pool and went back to our room so we could eat. I went looking for the fridge to put our beverages in, and we saw a cockroach in the cabinet where the fridge was located. Now, my husband works for a large pest control company, and knows what cockroaches look like, how they move, and where they tend to hide. He went looking for it to verify that that's what it was, and sure enough, he seen it again, as well as evidence that cockroaches have been present for some time. We immediately left. We packed our daughter and our things in the car, and I went to check us out. I informed the gentleman at the counter what we found, and told him we would like to check our early. He called the manager over to let him know what we found and the manager got rude with me. He asked if we had gotten a picture of it and why we were in the pool for hours before telling him about what we found. HE DIDN'T EVEN SEEM SHOCKED OR APOLOGETIC ABOUT US FINDING A COCKROACH IN OUR ROOM! He accused us of just using them for the pool and then trying to get a refund. The manager immediately tried rushing to the room when I called him back to the lobby to explain that we had JUST saw the cockroach when we went back into the room after we finished at the pool. He continued to be rude to me, then said all he can do for me is put me in another room. I explained that we weren't comfortable staying (because if cockroaches are in one room, they're probably all over). He then said, "Well, I can't give you a refund because it's not within the 24-hour cancelation policy!" So, even though my issue was found WITH the ESTABLISHMENT AFTER WE CHECKED IN, I can't get a refund?! We weren't even there for 4 hours! I finally explained that I didn't care, my family and I just wanted to check out and leave. When the manager heard that, he was immediately nice; his attitude did a 180. He was no longer rude, but he was actually somewhat nice. He explained that some guests bring them from home and they don't always know until another guest informs them. I told him we understood how it happens, as my husband works for a pest control company, but we didn't want to risk bringing anything home with us. He THEN said he still couldn't give me a refund, but he could give me a discount on a future stay. Jokes on him, we will NEVER return to this hotel. The general manager is a joke, it's filthy, and nothing works. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I've stayed at my fair share of hotels while traveling. The customer service was horrible. The cleaniess was non-existent. The air quality was not pleasant. If I could give this place negative stars, or even no stars, I would, but I guess one will have to do since that's the worst...
Read moreDo yourself a favor, and don't stay here. I made the mistake of not reading through reviews, just going by the "4.6" star rating, and the fact that I had never stayed at a bad Wyndham before. Well, that has changed. I have now stayed at a Wyndham that's on the top 3 list, of worst hotels, that I've ever stayed at.
First off, the halls, and room smelled musty. I was hoping that airing it out would help, but there were no screens on the window, so when I opened it, a mosquito flew in and I found it sitting on the ceiling, waiting for me to go to sleep. I closed the window, and turned on the a/c. Well, that helped with the mustiness, but now my throat was starting to hurt. What the heck was I breathing? About an hour after I fell asleep, I woke up in a coughing fit, so the a/c had to be turned off. So, I couldn't use the a/c, or open the windows.
Let's get to the rest of the room; it was filthy. The rug was filthy, the chairs were filthy. There was no luggage rack, and no place to open our luggage, so we moved the microwave, to place it on that piece of furniture, but it was a sticky, dirty mess under there. We cleaned it up, and hoped that was the worst of it. We looked inside the microwave, before putting it out of the way, and it was disgusting. We had food that we planned on reheating, but after seeing the interior, we decided against it.
We tried to get settled in, so we went to turn on the TV, but the battery cover, on the remote fell off. It was taped, but the tape was so old, it wouldn't hold it together anymore. Thankfully, I had tape, so I taped that back on and tried to go about my evening.
When it was time to take a shower. I went into the bathroom, and noticed that they specifically chose a floor tile that looks dirty, similar to their carpet choice. Clever I thought, but even that couldn't hide the hair on the floor, or filthy edges. I tried to pull back the shower curtain, but the rod was falling out of the walls from both sides. Because of the curve, in the falling rod, it was impossible to make the shower curtain stay up without hair clips and tying it to the towel rack, on the back wall. It was caving down, forcing the curtain to fall to the center.
Then there's the shower curtain itself. Dirty, moldy and never been washed. The tub was gray and dirty, as well. I wished that I had brought shower shoes.
After my shower, it was time for bed. I put my head on the pillow, and the smell of Old Spice, was overpowering. I'm assuming, that whoever used the pillows before me, used aftershave, and it transferred to the unwashed pillow. At this point, I was just exhausted, but still couldn't sleep because the aftershave scent, right next to my face, was overpowering. They only gave us 2 towels, so we went to the front desk for more, and used both of those, folded in half, to separate my face, from the aftershave, left on the pillow. That seemed to help.
The next morning, we went to make coffee, but the coffee maker was filthy. So we nixed that idea, and moved on. When we went to lock up our computer and tablets, in the safe, we were met with a safe that required a key, but there was no key. We had to drag around our computers and tablets, for the entire trip, because we weren't leaving them in the hotel, unsecured.
When we came back to the hotel, well after midnight, we parked in the back, and took out our room key to use the back door. Imagine our surprise when no key card was required. The door is left completely unlocked, so anyone could get in the hotel, and follow you to your room.
Generally, I'm reluctant to write bad reviews, unless someone was rude, and the front desk staff was pleasant, but there is no way they have a 4.6 star rating, without buying those reviews.
We didn't stay the last night we paid for. At that point, we'd had enough, and found other accommodations.
No, we would not recommend, and won't stay here again, or any Baymont,...

We stayed at this location for several days, and unfortunately, our experience was frustrating from start to finish.
On Day 2, the hotel manager, Vinny Chawl, accused us of smoking or cooking in the room because his system supposedly detected smoke. In reality, we had only been ironing clothes. Ironically, someone smokes weed in the hallways daily, and the room directly across from us was clearly a smoking room—so the source of the smell was obvious, yet we were the ones confronted. The accusation felt baseless and aggressive.
Despite advertising daily housekeeping, we had to repeatedly request it, almost begging just to get the basics done.
The key card stopped working every single day, which meant regular trips to the front desk. There is no digital key option, making it even more inconvenient.
While the hotel does offer a washer and dryer, based on how poorly the rest of the property is maintained, I seriously doubt they are kept clean.
They also allow people to park their cars on-site while they travel elsewhere, which becomes a major issue on weekends when guests who are actually staying at the hotel can’t find parking. Poor management of parking makes an already inconvenient stay even worse.
Two days before checkout (8/6/25), one staff member asked if we were leaving a day prior . I informed her that we had already booked a new reservation extending our stay until Friday morning, since we weren’t given an option to simply extend our existing booking. Despite this, on August 7, I was woken up by Vinny banging on our door and yelling for my husband and I to go to the front desk. Being I was the only one in the room at the time, I opened the door, he rudely asked, “Aren’t you checking out today?” Again, I explained that we had extended our stay and had informed staff. It was yet another example of the clear lack of communication among the team. After confronting him hours later, he said he only did that because he thought my husband was in the room. As a woman alone in a hotel room, I was startled. I was also given excuses from a supposed new employee who kept giving excuses about Vinny who stated was a manager at another hotel. They wanted to talk about everything at 10am but we had to check out early due to family related stuff. I did complain to corporate about the issue shortly after the banging but they said they would document my complaint and to wait a week for a response.
I should also note that security is not the best as the back doors are always unlocked (at least that was the case for us).
While many staff members were friendly, they often seemed uninformed or confused, which made even small interactions difficult.
The breakfast is the same every day—waffles, bread, yogurt, cereal, coffee, packaged muffins, and packaged danishes. The waffles and coffee was the only hot and fresh thing they have.
The room itself was decent, not spotless, but not the worst we’ve stayed in.
Overall, between the poor management, inconsistent service, parking issues, and lack of communication, this stay was more stressful than it was worth. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you value basic professionalism and...
