Front desk lady that gave me her name (Holly) was extremely rude and unprofessional. I am from out of state and had made a reservation on Christmas Eve to stay there. When I arrived, they said my card did not authorize the reservation. I called my bank but because this was a Sunday and Christmas Eve, I was unable to resolve the issue with my card. I left explaining I would return to check in when I resolved the issue. I returned a few hours later, (My brother who lives in town) booked a second reservation for me using HIS credit card and he gave me his card so that I could use it for this emergency to check in. When Holly learned this was my brother's card, she alluded that me using my brother's card was ILLEGAL and was a crime. I told her my brother booked the reservation using his card and she could reach him by calling him to confirm he had made the reservation for me, she was reluctant to speak with him but did briefly. My brother told Holly that he had booked my reservation and would authorize the charges. Holly told him he could be anybody and she has no way of knowing whether or not the person she was talking to on the phone was him or not, and he may have to come to the hotel in person to show his ID. Holly told my brother it was against policy to allow me to use his card. My brother asked her to send him a copy of the hotel policy and she refused. She handed me the phone and she overheard me telling my brother, I was going to find another hotel to stay at due to the way I was being treated by Holly. Holly then told me she was cancelling my reservation and told me "Leave my hotel" I left, and she told me she was putting me on the "do not rent" list. I travel for business and stay in hotels frequently. I have since spoken to other hotel managers afterwards and told them how I was treated. They said they only put people on "do not rent lists" for damaging rooms or owing money. NOT because of a disagreement. They also said all Holly would have needed to do if she didn't feel right was to send over a credit authorization to my brother that had booked the reservation OR call him at his number listed on the reservation. I have NEVER been Treated like this in my life. I have NEVER had any problems with hotels in my life until this one. I have hotel managers that have offered to give me glowing recommendations as a customer at their hotels if necessary. So as of 12.29.23 (five days later, I have rented at two different hotels with ZERO issues.

To make things worse, the General Manager at this hotel (Nick) promised to reach out to my by Thursday 12.28.23 and has not done so to take my complaint against Holly, she here we ARE me leaving an honest review of the way me and my sixteen year old son were...

If you are a hilton member, don't stay here! My husband had to cancel a last minute reservation with this hotel as a business meeting was scheduled last minute. He was unable to stay at the hotel on 3/15/17, but called to cancel (even though it was last minute). Hotel staff informed him that he would be billed the full amount anyway (as a Diamond member). He has stayed at this hotel several times in the last few months and had upcoming reservations with them as well. We will no longer be staying at this property and cancelled future stays he had previously booked. When we received his receipt from the hotel, the following morning, it listed "no show" on the receipt. He was not a "no show" as he had the courtesy to call and let them know he wouldn't be able to stay, that is a cancel, not a "no show." Not only was he billed, but for the entire amount! We would still have been disappointed had he been billed a lesser amount, but probably wouldn't have fought it. However, given a frequent guest at this hotel and that this is also his "territory" for work and would have had many future stays, we are utterly disappointed he was billed the entire amount. I, myself, used to work at a Hampton Inn and we are well aware that it is up to the hotels discretion to bill or waive the fee, especially for Diamond status members. My GM would have never billed a Diamond member for a cancellation. Staff was rude, didn't even offer us to speak with a manager, and didn't even offer to compensate or reimburse any of the fees when we called again the following morning. My husband's company does a lot of business in the pacific northwest and he'll be telling his fellow co-workers not to stay at this property. Completely dissatisfied with how the situation was handled. Having a Diamond status isn't worth the free bottle of water you get when you check in if you are to be treated by staff the way we had been. We were informed the hotel was not full that night and it was a Wednesday evening, we shouldn't have been billed at all, at least not for the full...

I have been to many Hampton Inn & Suites but this particular one is outstanding! What makes it so is their staff. The people who work here care about exceptional hospitality and it was awesome to see this. The staff created me warmly upon checking in and within an 1 hour of checking in, they texted me to make sure that my room was okay. Also during my stay, I had to schedule the shuttle for a 4:30am airport drop-off and they accommodated me on this as well. (They even had breakfast to go for some folks at that hour-wow!) (I would've had some breakfast but I'm allergic to wheat and dairy.)

The hotel is located in a nice spot. It is close to restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. It is also about 10 minutes away from the Oregon (PDX) airport and Fort Vancouver National Park. The hotel was in a quiet spot and there were no issues with noise from guests or the busy street that was near. The breakfast in the morning had a full spread which included: eggs, sausage, french toast, oatmeal,and fruit, plus they had almond milk (which is a huge plus for me being dairy free.) The rooms were very nice and clearly updated recently or renovated. They also included daily housekeeping if you were interested (rare these days!) The pool and sauna were nice as well, only downside was that the indoor pool had specks floating in it- I believe that sides of the pool were coming off, but it did not deter me from swimming. :-)

There is a reason that this hotel keeps getting 5 star reviews and it is their staff. They are great at their job and awesome at keeping the hospitality alive in Portland/Vancouver area. Thank you everyone, your hard work did not...

Great place. Well managed. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Except for one morning we checked in around 2 A.M. My family and I came from a long trip and my nephew was very sleepy. This would be our 3rd stay in one month. When we entered our room 401. The room was very dirty and the sofa cushions were in the floor. There was just a mattress with out any linen. We waited for our new room key in the dirty room and my nephew was laying down on a dirty bed and used a dirty blanket he found on the floor. The room was upside down. I was nice to the front desk agent and ask him to talk to his Manager for a troubles. After 20 minutes we got our new room key, but the dirty room memory was embedded to our first impression. No Manager got back to me for our troubles. We were tired and spent from our trip. The extra time waiting for the new room key drained us further. On a big chain Suites, they will make up for the inconvenience. I know this, because I live in Las Vegas. The Hospitality business is a billion dollar business. Make the customers happy for customer retention and great reviews. In 20 years of hotel stays, this is a first walking to a extra dirty room. Staining an excellent brands reputation.
