Cloud 9 Pho & Teatime — Restaurant in Vancouver

Take out twice in the last 20 days and both times they got our order wrong and or something was missing.

We ordered the following on 8/5 Cheese corn - They originally didn't give this to us and when I got to the parking lot I tripled check and indeed was missing. They denied and said that it was given and requested that I bring all the bags and showed them and no where near to be found and the people in the kitchen over heard and said thats our mistake as we forgot. So we did get it eventually with a simple sorry. 😒 Mango smoothie Taro Milk tea (instead they gave me taro green tea).😐😏😒 Spicy Wonton Crab rangoon Combination pho

Today we went again and we only ordered 4 items. OreoTaro smoothie - They gave me taro smoothie instead 😒 good thing it taste good. Mango smoothie didn't taste as good as last time seems like they didn't put enough Mango flavor/mango fruit. Cheese corn was good Spicy Wonton - supposed to come with 2 different sauce ( the spicy chili oil of some kind and I'm not sure what the other one was called) but unfortunately the SPICY oil wasn't there.

Please I understand that everyone was or is busy but take the time checking it and believing your customer that something is missing and what not.

We waited 20mins for the food and was handed the bad in such hurry and yet it was not complete.

The option of going back and picking it up isn't always a good option.

But overall still would go back but it be nice if they can...

Since this place was on the way from a long day of shopping, and considering the review, I thought I give it a try. What could go wrong with some pho, right? When we first walked in, we were promptly greeted and showed our seats, which is great. However, it was after seating is when we start to notice the surrounding. It looked as if they were still in a middle of redecorating (no biggie). But the longer we looked we started noticing spider webs, dust, dirt, as if they never cleaned the place.

Service was great at the beginning. But went down hill as soon as we finished ordering. Service simply did not exist after we order. I get they were busy filling online orders. They seem to have sufficient staff working, but non was available to provide service even after we flag one down.

Food was mediocre. Portions was not great considering the price. The pho was bland, meat was non existent. Ordered a spicy beef salad, which was not spicy but very sweet. Lets just say I got 3 bites out of that salad.

I think the only positive thing from this place is the drinks. They have a wide variety of options. Unfortunately for me, I went to my goto simple coconut flavor boba drink, and it isn't the best. But my other companion seems to like it.

Least to say, I won't be coming here again even to try the drinks again because if the front of the store is as dirty as it seems, the back and material used are probably the same.

Let me start off saying that I'm a huge critic when it comes to PHO. I'm originally from California and there are more authentic PHO restaurant there that are the best I ever had. When it comes to Cloud 9 Pho I can not say its the best in Vancouver from our three times eating take out here. We order the Pho vegetable soup with spring rolls and two out of the three times we ended up not enjoying the flavor or taste. We were hesitant to return after the first time when they got the order wrong but they said it was too late to do anything because they were closing soon. However when we returned they did offer us a discount but the food did not taste so good. We gave it one more chance mostly due to the time of night as it was after 9pm. After we ordered the same meal for the third time we were still not satisfied with the overall quality of both the spring rolls and the Pho soup. Perhaps it was just us or the fact we have set a higher standard when it comes to Pho. None the less it was not to our liking even after several attempts. While we give them credit for staying open late we will not be rushing back for more...
