Casey Key Retreat — Hotel in Venice

My wife and I had unit #4 of a 4 unit condo structure, two down and two up. Kitchen, one bath, one bedroom with king bed, dining and living areas. Queen pullout couch in living room. Kitchen had microwave, fridge, electric stove. No dishwasher, no garbage disposal (because it is on a septic field). All utensils were there as well as pots and pans. Hair dryer in bathroom. Only mini bars of soap in bath. Kitchen had stuff like paper towels, dish soap, aluminum foil, pretty much everything like that.|| Absolutely incredible view from the hi rise table and chairs just outside the door on the patio. Large grill on the patio and lounge chairs. Beach chairs also available as well as free laundry area. Parking is limited to four spaces (one per unit). Upstairs units have large balconies. Downstair units are on paver patio. || I live in Florida and have stayed in many beach places over the years. While this is a little old it is very well maintained and furnished and the price is just great. 20 minutes from downtown Sarasota and you are almost in Venice so really great location. Just perfect!|| Biggest grievance -- we tried to extend our stay another day but already booked. || We plan on getting a room there again later...

We’ve been coming to Nokomis beach for about 15 years! We decided to look for another place to stay when the owner of where we stayed got upset about my grandkids coming to visit us! This is a family vacation and it’s all about our family! Thank goodness we found Casey Key Retreat! Beautiful rooms, clean ,safe and the best is Nina the owner along with Cris have been absolutely fantastic and extremely nice. Such a pleasure staying here with my kids and grandchildren. It truly feels like our home away from home , the icing on the cake is The Gulf of Mexico is your back yard ! This was our first time staying here and definitely not our last! We’ve been visiting here at Casey Key Retreat for at least 5 years now. Every year has been absolutely wonderful. Nina the owner always does a great job accommodating my family of four. And over the years we’ve brought over 4 more families to stay along with us. All the condos are just the right size and everything you should need to enjoy your time. You just can’t beat being steps away from the ocean! The grounds are always well kept and the laundry room is a great perk for longer stays.
