Horrible experiences with the front des. Tiffany whom is unpleasant, condesending...plain rude and unprofessional to a fault. I am a business owner who travels frequently and was a regular w. colleagues in Mount Kisco. This location has changed interms of customer service hospitality over the last month and is getting worse. Rooms are well kept. Housekeeping, and the bar lounge is great. This woman named Tiffany at the front desk whom I asked kindly to have some extras brought up to my room as there were a few things missing. She had me wait infront of her while she picked up the phone chit chatting disclosing not relating topics to her job and gigling with the person on the other end. No I will be right with you or even telling the caller obviously her friend to hold on. I was attended to 7 minutes after as per my watch. This was not the 1st. The next day I asked her about renting their event room for a fundraiser. Tiffany kept her head down as she flipped her blonde hair and continued on the computer while mumbling " It is apparent that I only handle the front desk". I asked her to repeat then she rudely raised her voice and assertively stared at me and said" I dont do that". I was at my wits end and demanded to speak to the manager at once. She looked and me and said he isnt available right now you hv to deal with me and that she was currently supervisor of the front desk. I was livid and was going to write corporate at once. Most hv been non friendly at the front desk but never this terrible. I was ready to record Tiffanys unprofessional attitude until a lovely young lady who said her name was Infinity came to the front desk and guided me the right person to help with my Fundraising event in the planning. Infinity's smile lit up a room very professional, kind and resourceful. Then I remembered that Infinity had helped me before. Seams like someone I'd like to hv at our corporation being that my company revolves around Marketing. She said she's a university student w a year from graduation in similar major. I gave her my business card and told her please call at our NYC location upon graduation or summer internship. I mentioned her to colleagues and one had an event their while staying and also said that Infinity Had gone above and beyond to help them that night even passed her regular duty to make sure their stay was comfortable. Be clear that Infinity is one of the main reasons I will be returning. Her charismatic spirit and professionalism makes you feel a sense of care, warmth and security when you enter the lobby. Unfortunately for this Tiffany woman if she is not a temp but permanent she will be a part of the down fall for Mt. Kiscos holiday in Customet Service which is Imperative to every business as it is the face of the company or organization. Shame on the Inn for having such unprofessionalism and sense of entitlement exercised through Tiffany at their...
Read moreI was here as my wife was working at the nearby Genesis Saw Mill Club, for which this location is absolutely perfect! Essentially it pretty much borders the club, which can be reached with a five minute walk. As far as I can tell, it is pretty much the only hotel in Mt. Kisco and it is pretty large, replete with long corridors and many rooms. I understand it is an ex- Holiday Inn judging by the address etc, but is now part of the Hilton brand.||It's a perfectly fine place to stay. We were warmly welcomed and the staff were always keen to help, including storing our bags for us on the last day. It seemed a trifle strange that they couldn't accommodate our request for a couple of hours late check out since the hotel seemed far from full but that's obviously up to them and probably a policy since we lack elite Hilton status.||The hotel is decidedly dated and, frankly, in need of a revamp. It puts one in mind of hotels I stayed in during the 80s. It is a two story building with a large footprint meaning a very long corridor of rooms stretching into the distance. The Overlook Hotel in the Shining comes, rather disconcertingly, to mind although it is not at all creepy I hasten to add. The red walls and slightly garish carpet all strike me as of a different time. Fairly low ceilings speak to the same design elements in play a few decades ago.||The rooms themselves, of which more in a minute, are perfectly comfortable but there are signs of wear in the hotel as a whole; threadbare carpets on the main staircase out of the lobby etc. The rooms themselves are traditional, and were very clean when we were there. The bathroom is small with an inadequate shower over a shallow tub (unusable as a soaking tub) which is a throwback to a design now obsolete. More and more hotels now have the infinitely preferable walk in shower arrangement. The location and the room seemed secure but there was no in room safe that I could find. I doubt much money has been spent on renovations here for many a year.||Honestly, perhaps they don't need to. Being the only hotel here has its advantages of course! It does the basics perfectly well although breakfast wasn't included in our rate and was a tad expensive. We didn't get to eat an evening meal here so can't comment on the catering. All is all, it is a somewhat tired hotel but perfectly adequate and clean, with friendly staff which is always a plus. I wonder what the future holds though, because I wouldn't want to see it after another few years without a...
Read moreHotel MTK is the reimagination of the old 1960s Holiday Inn Mt. Kisco. I stayed at this property a few years ago when it was still a Holiday Inn, and it was shabby, worn, dingy and old. When I had to return to the area I was glad to see it reborn as a Tapestry Collection property by Hilton. I am a Hilton Honors member, and typically chose a Hilton property whenever I can. Well, MTK has a long long way to go. The hotel was not much changed from my 2020 Holiday Inn visit. Everything about this property is run down and worn. ||The mattress was creaky and lumpy with broken springs. The outlets on the base of the table lamps did not work. The dresser drawers were off their track and did not close properly. Paint was peeling from the door frames. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was installed upside down AND falling off. The carpet was frayed and stained. The shower curtain rod was loose from the wall. The toiletries were from three different mis-matched brands, and two of the items (the conditioner and the lotion) had already been open and half used. There were month old paper notices about changes to breakfast hours the next morning (a month previously) scotch taped to the stairwell door. The parking lot was filthy with cigarette butts and scattered trash.| |I am surprised that Hilton has allowed the Tapestry Collection brand to be applied to this property when there are clearly many many months of renovation and upgrades required to achieve even a minimal Tapestry standard. | |I understand that a lot of these problems were inherited from the previous days of a failing Holiday Inn, but I didn't inherit a discount - more than $200/night at an off-peak time. Sadly, there are very few choices in Northern Westchester.| |I responded to a request for feedback, and I gave very honest feedback. I even offered to share pictures. The survey asked if I wanted to be contacted by the property and I answered "yes." To date, I have received no contact.||It was Christmas, and fortunately we spent most of our time with family at their home, and only had to return to the hotel at night. This was a shocking disappointment for a Hilton Tapestry...
