When I booked it said "free cancellation" I after learned my family was all staying at Lamp Liter & was going to cancel. They popped up with $77 cancellation fee (first night). I said fine whatever no big deal. When we checked in the lady didn't stop staring at us in such a wired way. I asked if we could get a room downstairs and she said no with out even trying to check or at least pretending she felt sorry that nothing else was available. Let it go again. We paid in full, asked for a receipt and said said we we'll get it when we check out, I said we paid we deserve a receipt.."Takes a while to print" the room had a funny smell and it was a nonsmoking room. I sprayed body spray everywhere and let it go. The hair dryer was working then stopped and worked again the next day. Sucks because I needed it and the only reason I didn't take my own was because I knew the room provided it..let it go. The last day of our 3 day stay we got a call at 8am!!!!!!! To remind us that checkout was at 11am. Woke all of us up and my toddler was such in a cranky mood because I couldn't put her back to sleep (out late). I didn't plan to write a review until my husband went to check out and was charged $10 from the refundable deposit because the room had "too much garbage" What!? Are you serious? She went to go check the room while I was in the car waiting and he was checking out. Not even motel 6 does that. My husband told her that nothing was broken and the trashcans were just full. She didn't hesitate to charge him an extra $10. It's not the amount but the principle. We are clean people and no o didn't do the bed and yes the trashcans were all full. We had a medium dominoes pizza on top of one of the trashcans and a bag full of trash on top of it. But we did not leave any trash laying around I placed all dirty towels in the restroom cleaned the sink and you want to say "too much garbage". If leaving a hotel spotless at the end of the stay was part of the room rental it should have said it in the description and I wouldve never ever booked. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND...
Read moreThe sheets were filthy! When I was laying down, I moved my arm and the blanket had stuck to my elbow. After pulling it off, I looked at the sheet and saw this stuff on it that looked like candle wax. Then I noticed that the whole top cover had spots of this stuff all over it. Have these people ever heard of a carpet washer? The floor is disgusting and has been poorly taken care of. All the stains are visible. If you want lighting in the room, you have to walk all the way inside just to turn on a lamp because the light switch by the door doesn't turn anything on, it only works as a timer switch to make sure the lights get shut off. They had everything unplugged (alarm, fridge, tv) and to top everything off, the lady who was working in the office was extremely rude and unprofessional. The way she spoke to me was like if she was speaking to a criminal, she started asking me offensive questions, and just because I said "What the fu€k" she threatened me and said she was calling the cops because I swore at her. After she said that I just walked out of the office. She followed me all the way out to the parking lot and told me I'm not allowed back and to give her the key. I handed it to her and she started making her way up to the room I was staying in. She started making rude comments and she kept glancing at me with this dirty look the entire time she was walking up to the room..... this was the worst place I've...
Read moreVisalia was a stopping point on a travel day between destinations so we had no particular reason to be in one part of town verses the other. The rate for a slow night was reasonable, the gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and made sure we understood his directions to a grocery store. We were on the first floor and able to park at our door. The room was spacious, furnishings were like new, air conditioner ran fine, and the pillow-top mattress was the kind I like without an excess of foam to sink into. Everything was very clean and we had no maintenance issues. Lighting could be improved a bit, but was acceptable. There were only a couple places to plug in devices.||||The shower temperature and pressure were good, the curved shower rod was not sagging (a rarity!), and towels were decent. The curtains blocked all light from the parking lot, and we had a quiet night without any distractions.||||Breakfast featured an unexpected variety for an Econo Lodge, including waffles. We left very happy for having chosen this motel for our brief...
