Cambria Hotel in Waco, Texas. Me and my husband went there during my birthday weekend and stayed there. This was our second time staying in this hotel .We had a king size bed very nice decor and comfortable bedding. Reasonable prices. Also there’s a steakhouse inside the hotel called BLVD steakhouse. The tomahawk steak we order it was delicious. The shelf actually came out, took out the steak in front of us. #cambriahotel

We hosted a family reunion of about 60 people at the Cambria Hotel. We set up a room block on March 3rd 2025 for the weekend of June 6-8 2025. Unfortunately, before all of our family was booked and well before our room block deadline, the hotel released rooms from our room block for booking and the hotel sold out for Friday June 6. We were encouraged to have our remaining family members book at the sister hotel, the Even, which shares the property. We were a little frustrated but understanding and did book a few rooms at The Even. However, upon arriving, at check in I was informed that my reservation, despite being the first room booked in March, along with several other reservations were being moved to the sister hotel due to the hotel overselling rooms for the weekend. For two months I was coordinating with hotel staff, reserving rooms, paying group fees to ensure our visit was good to go, and in return my reservation was given up prior arrival. The desk clerk who informed me of the situation was incredibly friendly, I hold no fault to her and commend her for having to be the bearer of bad news. However, I do question managements decision making and have yet to have anyone from the hotel reach out and make any attempt to amend the situation. We reserved a conference room space for the weekend which was a beautiful space. However, due to the hotel layout, you can’t reach the conference room from the hotel lobby unless you travel through the hotel steakhouse. The hostess at the steakhouse asked several of within our group to go up to the second floor, walk through the hotel hall, then down the stairs to the conference rooms instead of walking through the restaurant. Stair access was not feasible for many of our older relatives. Lastly, once out in the pool and courtyard area, there is no easy entrance back into the hotel lobby. The door to the pool near the fitness room shares a patio with the steakhouse and locks upon exiting to the courtyard. The layout of the hotel is a bit frustrating. I did have a very good experience setting up our group information with Christina, Richard in customer service was also very helpful prior to arrival. I wish our group agreement would have been honored. The hotel staff at the Even was incredible. The hotel layout was much more courtyard accessible. In the future, I will absolutely be booking with the Even for future Waco visits.

Wanted to have a spa cation while a bestie was here from England.we decided on this hotel because in the ad online it stated that the room came w a kitchenette, mini fridge bar and robes. This was not true.theres one microwave for entire floor by ice machines.no bar only two bottles of water and there was three of us. We had to pay extra for third person yet we had to beg borrow and steal to get the needed things for that third.charming gal checked us in but then a very rude not helpful in any sort man took over.the pool has no signs how to get to it.theres a exit door you go through but there’s not a sign anywhere telling that.the atm was out of order and has been for months we were told by employee.we ordered room service and they forgot the basics like salt and pepper and we called and asked for the things we still needed and they still couldn’t get it to us.rooms were nice minus the sofa bed shoved next to bed and window when there was a large open area on other side of room.robes were available but for a fee.very very disappointing.expected a lot more than what we got.dont see my returning here. So you know what’s in store hope this helps

I wrote this email to the hotel manager, but never received a response.

I wanted to take a moment to talk about our stay last night at the Cambria Hotel in Waco, February 2024. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. We paid over $300 for one night and it was a super uncomfortable and awkward experience. I’ll list the issues below.

We were asked if we wanted an “upgrade” upon check in because the hotel was oversold. However, the “upgrade” would have meant our son would have to sleep on a couch, because there was only one bed. We declined and were told they would find a room with the two beds we booked. We were given a room, but upon entering the room another couple was startled upon our entry. They gave us a room that was already occupied by guests. I was so embarrassed that we walked into someone else’s room. We headed back downstairs, told the front desk about the issue and we were given another room on a different floor. We come back to the hotel from dinner to find out both elevators were broken. The thermostat kept falling off the wall, and batteries popping out. We went downstairs for breakfast and needed to be done in an hour. There were two other tables and 5 people total. One waitress. After 10 min she came by our table and we told her we’d order quick and needed to be out by 9. She seemed very bothered by this request and she said she didn’t think they could do that, but she’d ask the chef. Well, they agreed, we ordered eggs, bacon and toast. She literally ran around the restaurant the rest of the time we were there. Literally ran, as in an actual jog. No other tables came in, it wasn’t crowded and it was honestly pretty uncomfortable. We got our food in less than 10 min, but I had one cup of coffee. I asked for more, never got it. Then asked for a to go cup and was told there were none but I could have an iced coffee. We were headed outdoors in 38 degree weather, so I declined iced coffee.

It was just such a sub par experience at best. We felt like every employee was frazzled and stressed. For $300 per night I expected a...

I showed up at the Cambria at 2:30 am in the morning on Friday evening / Saturday morning. I was informed that they had 2 rooms available since they had two people not show up. I was informed this was all they had available and they were 2 king suites. I was told they would be 289.00 a night. Then I was told that the following nights, Saturday to Sunday and Sunday to Monday they would put me in a room with 2 beds for 189.00 a night so we would not have to rent 2 separate rooms. The lady told me she would go ahead and charge my card for all of this. I had a charge of 787.62 on my card for the king room for one night and two nights for the room with two double beds. Then I decided to get another king room since there were 4 adults and was charged 423.99. The following day we checked out of both king rooms and had all our luggage on one cart and the lady at the front took our cart with our luggage and told me she knew our situation and would have a room ready for us around 3 to check back in. We arrived at 5-5:30 to check back in and were informed there was no reservation for us. I was then told they could not match the price I was originally told and would have to pay more. Then I was told that 289.00 was the price of the room before taxes and fees and the rooms we stayed at the night before were actually 348.99. This is fraud and the manager Sabrina Wolf refused to make the situation right. If you stay at this hotel I would make sure to get EVERYTHING in writing. The hotel was nice, but the construction work done there was cheap. The room we stayed in the bathroom door was not cut correctly so it rubbed/got stuck when it was shut and was hard to open. The light on the right side of the bed did not work either. May have been a lightbulb issue I’m not sure. The bath tub had dirt on it not sure if it was from when I first started the water to run and get warm or if it hadn’t been wiped off.

I would suggest staying somewhere else for 348.99 not worth the money and the staff is not...
