We mistakenly booked this motel online because they sell you very nice photos and you think that’s reality. We wanted to cancel later the same day we booked, they refused and we had to stay. Our room was number 8. The room had horrible smell right when we walked in, was very small, bed didn’t have any warm blanket (I get it’s summer but come on, people are different), one tiny table enough for only one person, BROKEN glass on framed picture on the wall, peeling paint and dirt in bathroom. TV only with one channel. Housekeeping comes every single day, why so often, just like they are suspicious and trying to catch you on something. But even though they’d come too often, they never bothered to give refills of shampoo or soap, not a once. One of them for some reason even stuffed in my suitcase my dirty laundry, that was carefully laying in one spot next to bed, merging dirty with clean clothes. And what’s most ridiculous, motel office has huge banner warning guests against sneaking in pets. OMG. Like pets would do much difference to your dirty old beat up rooms.

Giving them two stars because the location was great, the beds were comfortable, and there were lots of channels on the TV. However, the WiFi did not work at all, and I was counting on the WiFi to take care of some work emails. I was never able to connect even with the right password. The cell reception is not much better so I couldn’t use my mobile hotspot as a backup. The upkeep and cleanliness is also a huge issue. I found several human hairs in the clean, folded towels left for me in the bathroom. The air conditioning unit is ancient and felt like it produced more heat and humidity than it cooled. I slept horribly because of the uncomfortable air quality in the room. The bathroom tub faucet drips no matter how tightly you turn it off. There was dust everywhere and a food stain on the outside of the microwave, which smelled like a burnt hot pocket. Absolutely gross. To top it off, one of the patio chairs is broken. I will not be staying here again but at least safe on the premises due to the nice area.

Would give zero stars if I could. My partner and I attempted to stay here for a few days and immediately upon entering the room booked a different hotel elsewhere. The listing photos look nothing like the room we were given, the room itself reeked of marijuana and cigarettes, was caked in dirt, burns and suspicious stains all over the walls, and to top it all off, the smoke alarm still had the activation tab stuck in it. The young man at the desk (Josh, I believe) was very friendly, though I can’t say the same about the higher up's. Upon asking to cancel the room and get some of the money back, we were told that they wouldn’t do that, and we wouldn’t be allowed to cancel the rest of our reservation either. This place is a health and safety hazard, and the fire marshal should be called.

We just spent 3 nights here for the long Memorial Day weekend and I so wish we had picked someplace else. It looked good in the photos on Expedia, but in person, it looks NOTHING like the pictures! Very deceiving! First, there is very limited parking. We had our two SUVs with us and they told us that we could only park one of our vehicles in front of our room, and we had to park the other one way on the other side of the building, where we couldn't even see it to keep an eye on it. That was just the start of it....

We were in room 15K, which is a one-bedroom "suite." The first thing that we immediately noticed as soon as we walked in was a strong musty odor. It was not pleasant at all and it sent my allergies into overdrive. Next, we noticed that there were no blankets on the bed, just a sheet (which had dirt on it) and a VERY thin bedspread that felt more like a tablecloth and was not the least bit comfortable or warm. It was even too small for the bed. It was quite chilly and rainy all weekend, so we were definitely cold without any actual blankets. It didn't help that the heat in this place was not efficient and the heat pump did not seem to work properly. The clips on the curtains in the bedroom were broken, so they were hanging off the curtain rod, so we couldn't close them all the way.

To make matters even worse, we had no hot water in our shower. It only got lukewarm, at best. When we pay to stay somewhere, we expect hot showers. I think that's a given. The bathroom sink would fill up and took forever to drain. Additionally, the 2-burner stove in the kitchen did not work, and we had brought steaks to cook, so we were very upset about that. Another problem was that the refrigerator door would not even stay closed, so we ended up having to buy a cooler to keep our food from spoiling.

Lastly, the Wi-Fi here was terrible. It would only stay connected for a a few seconds at a time and was extremely spotty and slow, so it was essentially useless.

The ONLY positive factor is that this hotel is in a good location that is in close proximity to everything (Wells Beach, restaurants, stores, downtown Ogunquit, etc.), but with our overall experience, we will definitely not be staying here again, nor would we recommend this place. There are so many hotels in this area to choose from that are significantly nicer and cleaner than this place. We were attracted by the low price (we only paid $338 for 3 nights, but this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for). I would have gladly spent more for much better accommodations had I known what this place was actually like prior to booking it. I just wish that I had read the Google...

If I could give this motel a zero rating that would be too gracious. This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in! My family got back from a day trip to the motel around 9:30pm to shower and settle in for the night. We turned the shower on and there was no hot water. We called the number on the motel door for the property manager to see if they could move us to another room. There was no answer. I called a few more times and the gentleman that answered sounded like he was sleeping. I apologized for waking him and told him our issue and he said he'd be right over to check out the problem. We waited about 20 minutes and called him back. He did not answer. We had to call multiple times again for him to answer. He was very rude to my husband when he finally got him back on the phone, he explained to him that it was late, we were out for the day with our children and that we needed to shower them and get them to bed. we told him anything he could do to help would be greatly appreciated. The gentleman replied with " your kids should have been in bed at 8 pm" and that "we were calling and bothering him". The gentleman abruptly hung up on my husband. He finally showed up to the room knocking on the door around 10:20 smelling like he had been drinking alcohol swaying back and forth mumbling nonsense. He proceeded to yell at us in front of our children that we were bothering him and we had called to late. He then came closer to the door and tried to push his way into our room. My husband asked him to leave because he was completely intoxicated and did not feel safe letting him into our room with our children. These people are inconsiderate and completely unprofessional! We will not be coming back and suggest to anyone else booking a family vacation at this motel to go anywhere...

I just got back from staying here. Although not the best but certainly not the worst. Granted they do have their hands full in updating the property. Their trying, give them a break. But the queen room I had was adequate for the stay. The owner told me they are working on issues little by little. So they are trying their best. Also any issue that I had was taken care of that day. Like not having a blanket, loose faucet and since the bed was to hard for me they gave me a nice comfortable bed topper.Minor stuff. Erica from housekeeping was the best and accommodated me greatly as well as the manager. All the staff was great. No issues with the TV .I got plenty of channels.Pool was good as well as the barbecue area. Internet an be spotty, but that happened outside the motel too. It happened everywhere for me.No trolley service. They need to update their website to inform people that the town no longer offers trolly service or anything else that's no longer. Not the motels doing. Motel has a good location to many restaurants, beaches and stores. The beach the motel mentions is a bit of a walk ( moody beach)to me, maybe not i didnt walk it, just drove it.. Very short drive and you have to pay to park.Drive to Wells beach( not far at all by car)get there early before 9am because its free parking (FREE!) and it fills up fast. If you don't your paying. Its at the very end of the road . In like a little plaza type place. Other than that the motel is very quiet at night. It was good overall.I only can speak for myself about this place.Sorry to here such bad reviews but in my opinion they don't deserve it. This is a budget friendly motel.Remember that. I will stay again by far.If there's a problem, I'm sure they will find a solution for...
