WARNING!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
I only stayed here bc of a last minute change of hotel plans that were beyond my control. The “remodeled” room had ROACHES (plural) come to find out. When I addressed it with the front desk staff person I was told “the manager wasn’t able bc of a death in the family.” After insisting on a refund the clerk went to the back of the room out of sight & called the manager, Desiree. To say she was unprofessional, rude, low class & ridiculous is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! I have never in all my 51 years been so disrespected as a customer, to the point I was hung up on by her bc I wouldn’t answer the question “when did you first notice the roaches?” As if that should matter!!! Desiree clearly was not at all willing to be sympathetic to the fact the room had/has roaches not to mention was she at all willing to honor my request for a refund, not even one night!
I stayed at the Days Inn last minute bc of a very stressful & hostile divorce situation. My experience at the Days Inn only added more stress rather than allowing me a safe, comfortable place to try & relax in. I had to deeply wash & sanitize all of my clothes & other belongings (bc if you know anything about roaches you know they & their eggs are extremely easy to transfer) at a financial & mental & emotional price.
I had to quickly make other housing arrangements after leaving the Days Inn after seeing the roaches & more. That was also stressful to say the least.
Customer service here is non existent. Bc I booked my (5 night) extended stay via Priceline I had to call them first to inform them of the situation. What a joke… as you can see I have a picture & a video of the LIVE COCKROACHES that were in my room & yet Priceline is now saying they are following the Days Inn’s policies re refunds. What does it take for a person/customer to actually be treated w dignity & respect here??!! I was treated like I was a problem rather than as a guest paying what I consider to be a sizable amount of $ for what the hotel offers.
I was told the only boy recourse I had was to email manager Desiree which I did. She called me later on the next day w a horrible attitude & when I say horrible I mean that!! She HUNG UP ON ME while I was calmly attempting to discuss what other options I had & when I asked who was above her & how could I contact them. Unacceptable…
I called 1-800-Days-Inn & was simply told they would follow up my complaint/request for a refund w Priceline. See the attached email I received from them. I will NEVER use Priceline again, either, as a result of this most terrible experience.
Their “breakfast” consists of a tray of granola bars… that is all I saw each morning I was there.
There is also black mold on the bathroom ceiling. There is no heater/AC that you can control so the temperature of the room is however it is & there’s no changing it.
I will NEVER EVER stay here again, even if my life depended on it, & I HIGHLY discourage anyone else to spend $ staying here unless you are in to ROACHES, DISRESPECTFUL & DISMISSIVE TREATMENT by the Days Inn staff, in particular by manager Desiree, BLACK MOLD, PEELING PAINT, NO ABILITY TO CONTROL THE ROOM TEMPERATURE & GRANOLA BARS for the “daily breakfast served.”
Live & learn…. Thanks for NOTHING West Allis Days Inn managed by disrespectful, rude, unkind, uncaring, unprofessional Desiree. Please do & be better, especially as sadly, a lot of people will continue to rely on your services despite them being less than ideal or adequate.

Read moreVery rude. Rooms were not clean to begin with. There was a already used towel in the bathroom . Lighting in there was already messed up when first getting Room and getting in. They try and charge your for damages but refused to show any proof because wasn't any when i left earlier then the 2nd guest who was with me who he left at checkout time. Was going to pay it even if it wasn't caused by me let's alone when i was there if it even did manager knew i didn't have 100 on my debit card to charge me for damages so demanded bringing in cash. Or in 3 hours would had it over to the cops. Keept being rude for being a manager. And i wanted to see the damages since they called me at noon and said they called immeditly. Refused to show proof. Had cops come there a few hours later cos didn't see any damages . Claimed they already had the "ripped out " lighting fixtures fixed before she arrived and did not have documented proof of anything ever beint broken . When i asked the cop to please give me a copy of the photo of the damaged light .. Lights whatever they claimed . She said she can't because they didn't have any nor any proof . And cops even said she saw no damages snd after one of the harassing phone calls from the manager desarie who all day keept hanging up on me. And beIN rude and not given me a chance to speak or questiin and refused to give me photos of the damages that my friend Suposivly did. And the one time i hung up on her after already being done with the "conversation" anyways because of how unprofessional and just human decency she said to me after i asked her to keep security cameras footage (of when i left etc etc to long of a story) and i bc asked nicely please give the footage to the police then. And what she said to me afte4 exploding up at me AGAIN .i hung up on her one time . And then i immeditly get a notification of a 50$ changed being denied from days inn attempting to charge... Which was unauthorized and when i called back immediately to say why and she wasn't authorized... And for 50 bucks when she said i have to pay 100 THE MANAGERS RESPONSE WAS "you told me earlier you had no money in the card in file to pay for the SUPPOSED damages... So i was going to have to bring cash payment there... Her reasons for trying tk charge me 50 when she claimed I'm going to have to pay 100 was because ", toy told me earlier you didn't have the money in the card your used to pay for the room to charge" so.. Okay days inn manager why would you attempt to charge 50 when i also did tell them in not authorizing any charges to my card because it wasn't any on it . I've already called days inn .. Wyndham corporate and emailed about that. DO NOT STAY THERE. If you have to. I've learned you should start taking photos of every inch of the hotel room any place or hotel from now on, nobody should have to do that . And I'm not the only one they have done this to according to the reviews...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Milwaukee. We booked through a 3rd party without reading the reviews, which are just dreadful. This was NOT our experience.
We had a wonderful stay. Yes, the cooling circulators are outdated, but our room was at a very comfortable temperature throughout our 11 day stay. If you aren't familiar with these old units, I can see where you might have an issue, but I grew up around them. They leak when the humidity is high, all of them do.
The room was clean, with vinyl plank flooring and tile bath. The bathroom was clean and mold free! The towels were clean and smelled fresh. The water pressure was AMAZING! Plenty of hot water to shower 4 people back to back even with the teenagers taking their sweet time!
The beds are admittedly firm, but that's what we like, I can see why some people may say they are hard, but we slept very well. The sheets were clean and housekeeping was great about changing them every few days. They also kept us supplied with fresh towels everyday.
A note about housekeeping. I know it's not mandatory and it's really unexpected, but from someone who has worked in housekeeping, a small tip for refreshing your room goes a long way!!!!! Hospitality is a service industry just like table servers or stylists!
In conclusion, this is an older facility. Some of the elements are outdated compared to newer hotels. If you are spoiled to higher end places, this probably isn't the place for you, but if you just need a base of operation (we were visiting family most days) and a comfortable place to sleep, then I would absolutely recommend this place.
Cons: No microwave.
Only granola bars and coffee for breakfast service.
Keyed entry doors card readers are well worn and temperamental.
Water coolers (a/c) leaks in humid weather. Again, expected.
The rooms are a bit dim with the curtains closed.
Pros: It's literally 15 minutes from everything! Great central location.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! (If you're nice to them, they'll be nice to you!)
Quiet. We never heard a neighbor unless the door closed hard. (Small kids next door a couple of nights)
We felt safe, never saw any of the drugs or other criminal evidence mentioned in the review.
Restaurant and bar close. Food at Pallas was good and 10% off with a room key card.
Overall, I will stay...
