This is by far the best d.q. in milwaukee. Tim the manager has always had a staff like himself that provide outstanding customer service. So many d.q.'s have disappeared in milwaukee.... 62nd & lincoln......27th & Morgan Ave......Hales Corners.....This little location keeps getting busier year after year. yes their have been times where i have had to wait..... this place can get busy.....no one is perfect 100 % of the time.... except some of you reviewers.....this is a fast food place where children get to learn & experience their first job.....To learn responsibility, & build self-esteem, & self-confidence..... give them the benefit of the doubt.... eating ice cream has ALWAYS been a pleasurable experience.....i mean really..... hey i'm eating ice cream & i'm mad.....lol...lol... If the kid makes my product a little different than i'm use to.... i pay the 79 cents for extra flavor.... have them dump a scoop of peanut butter cups in it, doesn't matter what it is...peanut butter cups make EVERYTHING taste better... Keep up the good work kids.. Do the best you can... That will always be good enough for most of us..... this d.q. has been around since the 50's... it was here before us & will be around long after we are all gone. Many other d.q.'s in the area have failed this one keeps growing.......hmmmm....wonder why. The d.q. cakes also have the most fudge in them at...
Read moreDo NOT GO HERE! The staff (2 Indian men) are complety rude and argumentative! I ordered 2 mini Blizzards and a sundae. Upon sitting down at one of their tables, I noticed they were extremely melted. There was only 1 guy attending customers so I sat and waited until he took care of them before approaching the window. When I got up there, I let him know my Blizzards were melted, practically soup. He immediately started arguing with me saying they weren't melted when he gave them to me and that I sat down for a while and that's when they melted. I let him know that was incorrect and that they were soupy as soon as we sat down. I explained I was trying to be kind by waiting for him to take care of the other 2 customers before complaining. He continued to say they were good when he gave them to me and that "they passed the upside-down test". I asked why he didn't do the "test" in front of me then? He said that didn't matter. So, I turned my Blizzard upside-down and it immediately dropped and spilled all over their countertop. He got upset and continued to yell at me before slamming the window in my face. Not only are they rude, argumentative, and lack good customer service skills, they're also EXTREMELY overpriced. My total for the 2 minis (regular, not royal) and the sundae was $20. Save your money, time and good mood....avoid...
Read moreI used to buy my cakes at a different Dairy Queen on Highway 100 and Grange. I Would buy 3 to 4 cakes per year for various birthdays. When they closed down this Dairy Queen was the next closest one and so I tried them out. He promised me a cake that would look great. When I picked up my cake around noon on October 30th I had to wait 15 minutes for them to write the wrong happy birthday message on the cake. At the Old Dairy Queen the cake was always Frozen. I remember one time having to wait till seven eight o'clock in the evening for it to be thawed out enough to try to eat. When I picked up this cake it was mostly melted before I got home. The cake slid from side-to-side inside the box as my daughter struggle to try to hold it still as we drove home. Never had I experienced that with a Dairy Queen cake before. The gentleman was nice on the phone when I talk to him but he did not deliver that cake that he promised me on the phone for my daughter's birthday. Maybe their freezer is garbage or maybe the gentleman set it on the oven while he was writing happy birthday on it so it melted faster I don't know. Won't be getting my future cakes from this Dairy...
