Festival has done it again, opening another large, consumer friendly, well lit store. The cafe here is probably one of my favorite parts, as it’s wide open, has plenty of room to sit, is right next to the deli and Caribou coffee stand, and the best part is when I sent my friend these photos he thought I was in an airport from how much natural light came through the windows šŸ˜‚ The food here like their other stores is always fresh and tasty, and Sue from produce helped me find several veggies and dry grocery items I needed, and I made sure to tell her manager she deserves a raise (hopefully she’ll get another when corporate sees this). People do mention that prices here tend to be a bit higher than competing stores, but I personally think it’s worth it to get better service and happier employees, because when a company takes care of its employees, they take better care of customers. The store was well staffed on Tuesday January 25, 2022 in the morning and the guy at the meat counter who gave me my Nueske’s bacon (forgot his name, but he was working there around 9AM and had short black hair and a hat on) is one of the smartest people I’ve ever talked with in a grocery store

I like festival stores in general but I am glad they came to this location. Like someone mentioned earlier, they obviously have higher prices on some stuff but I accept it for a elevated experience. If you want to save money and shop at a place with one register open...yay. I have never felt that way at other competitors, at least not in a long time. I just hope they keep the place running nice and that it doesn't get stallis'd like everything else. And on a side note....they got Jolly Good soda.

I’m always impressed, when I walk into a Festival Foods. I usually visit for the sales or variety of items. As a mom of a little, they are quite accommodating with infant/pregnant parking spots, child inclusive carts, and seats in the bathroom. However, the seat in this bathroom had terrible placement. I’m thankful for the seat, but am not too impressed with its location in the stall.

Sure, the store is "nice", but if you can't afford to shop there, who cares? Even their very limited selection of generics are overpriced!

Every time I've gone here lately I end up abandoning my cart in disgust at their prices - it's THAT bad (even worse than the "leading" grocer in our region, which already has a pricey reputation). Oh, and can we talk about their awful self-checkout, where there's no room to pack and organize your stuff, and when you try to rearrange it to fit, thinks you're stealing and requires their annoying employee to constantly intervene? (their main competition isn't any better in this regard - they have the same BS - but it might have been a good opportunity to set themselves apart because a lot of people would love to ditch that competitor).

Last but not least, do they ever get busy? I have never seen more than a handful of cars in their parking lot, regardless of the time of day. I guess that might be a "pro" rather than a con, except that if no one shops there, then stuff with short shelf life tends to either be wasted or sold after the "best by" date. For example, on my last aborted visit, I was looking at the fresh baked bread. Not only was 3x the price of that big W retailer, but every loaf on the shelf had a "sell by" date of today. None of it was "fresh baked" - what a joke!

Tldr: this place is like a slightly nicer Pig, but somehow they think they are entitled to Red Bag prices. GTFOH.

Note to owner: don't blow smoke up my bum about how hard you fight for low prices, because it's obviously a lie - and NO, I don't want to check out your website or join your loyalty program for promotions and "sales" - we want low prices every day, WITHOUT having to jump...

I know 2 stars - but when you are used to the Festival foods of Manitowoc- Green Bay- De Pere- you would more than understand, Where is the customer service and the Boomerang theory ? I dont think i have been ten tiled in this place - once . literally having to go find associates in aisle to help in in the bakery or deli - The salads and deli meats look dried out and old not sliced fresh . The fluff has been the same for over a month. We stop ever tuesday after my sons drs appt. you can literally check the cameras to verify this . it has been butterfinger fluff every week. I know it is probably one of the easiest and most cost effective recipes you can have - Ive requested to have salads made as I have done at your other locations and I have been told they do not do that . Produce section is lacking compared to the other stores. Bakery goods are decorated on the sloppy side and no where as prettty as other stores . I know this is part of the milwaukee Metro area and staffing can be difficult .. but when i tell people to go to festival - they look at me like I am crazy as people are not having the same experience in west allis as they do at your stores north of here . Im sorry to leave such a review as I truly do love all the other stores I have been in and shop at religiously when I am around them . This one needs serious work...

I’ve been shopping here since this location opened, and before that at the Hales Corners location. Today was the worst visit I have ever had. Only one checkout lane open, and I could hear someone in front of me say ā€œsorry, I didn’t know thatā€ when I walked up. When it was my turn, the cashier, Iris, curtly asked me if I had coupons or an ad. I said no, could they scan the ad like they have always done. She proceeded to tell me that is not the policy. I asked if that’s new because nobody has ever told me that before. She scoffed and said ā€œthen nobody has been doing their job because that is absolutely the policy and always has been.ā€ Mind you, her tag said she started there this year. I thought the exchange would end there, but she kept on, basically reprimanding me for not having an ad with me. I’m not one to expect special service. If I knew I needed the ad I would have brought it, which is why I asked if that is new. Part of the reason I have shopped at Festival since it opened in the Milwaukee area is because of the friendly service and not needing to have a card, add digital coupons, etc. Not sure what changed, but the service at this location has been going down for months. This was the worst though. Hope it gets back to normal, or I’ll just...
