2nd Edit: The now continues to yell at and harass me and threaten me because she says I got her in trouble with corporate. I am consulting attorneys at this point. I’ve never dealt with worse discrimination and rude behavior like this! Seriously affecting my health. I’ve suffered more severe panic attacks and other medical issues do to this staff!!!
Edit: The interaction below led me to a severe anxiety/panic attack! So thanks for that! 😡
It’s exactly like the Angie post two months ago. The staff here are absolutely terrible. They incredibly rude. They start fights and arguments and they yell over top of you. They are never at the desk. They are constantly together, chain-smoking outside of the door forcing you to walk through their smoke. They have continually harassed me for my service dog. I am a 100% combat related service, disabled veteran. I have a service dog that serves many medical task and functions. One of those is stability. For which I use a stability harness. I use this in conjunction with a radio Leash/collar. They are constantly harassing me telling me that my dog is not on a leash, because they are ignorant as the fact that there is more than one type of leash, especially when it comes to a service dog, and it performing it functions and duties. When I’ve tried to explain this to him, they have yelled and argued and told me I am wrong. so I am no longer allowed to use my service dog as I need to while staying at the extended stay America suites in Ogden Utah. I live on my meager government pension and retirement. This is the only place I could afford and not be in my truck, or on the streets like I was for the previous amount of time I am struggling and trying to get back on my feet. I thought because of prices and location. This would be a good place to start for me. I was wrong extended stay America does not appreciate veterans or disabled veterans, and the staff is the most rude and Confrontational group of people I have met outside of foreign places than end in STAN. When trying to renew my lease for the month, I’ve shouted out, insulted, threatened and told I could not use my service dog as I need to in order to meet corporate requirements. I was told corporate told them to throw me out. But they were going to give me a second chance. They’re putting my health at risk and risking me being homeless once again. I will tell every veteran I know to avoid this place...
Read moreI want to start this review by saying this is the first review I have ever written on any business. I just felt like this needed to be said.
I have stayed at this hotel for months at a time, I have had and continued to have family and a good amount of friends I always recommend to this hotel. I now live in the apartments next door and have for awhile. My dogs and I have multiple routes we take all around the area when we go on walks, one of which is around this hotel, I’ve been walking my dog in the area for years and years, and I have ALWAYS carried my own poop bags for my dog, and always picked it up. This hotel has a major problem with its residents completely destroying their property with their dogs waste. So today after work I happened to go around the hotel with my dog, like I so often do, picked up his waste and threw it in the designated pet waste garbage. As I was walking away to go home, an employee came out and asked if I live at the apartments next door, I said yes, I was threatened with trespassing if I come on the property again. That’s a class A misdemeanor and not something to be taken lightly and definitely not a light threat in my mind. The point of the story is, I felt completely disrespected by this establishment when I’ve not only been the source of(maybe a very small percentage of their business in comparison to the years they have been in business) their clientele between myself more friends than I can count and family and I’ve always been respectful to their property by picking up after my dog which I do everywhere I go. This hotel has lost my business and the business of all my friends and family. I will respect their wishes and stay off their property (and not only just with my dog but with my business.) if they would have came out and respectfully asked that I don’t walk my dog around their property that would have been that and I would have had no issue, instead I was met with serious threats and assumptions. This review may not go far in convincing anyone else to take your business elsewhere, which is fine. I just think a company should have respect for their past, current and future residents and even possible residents, if they want to be a company worth spending...
Read moreChecked in a little late at 10:20pm (10pm is end of normal hours) along with a bunch of other guests. Check in was smooth other than requiring ID for both adults and not just the one paying for the room. Them scanning in the IDs into the system isn’t “safety” as they stated. We’ve stated many places before with never needing that requirement.
Entered our room and the fridge was gross! Food dripping down the side of it. They tried to claim it’s rust. Rust doesn’t drip down and when scraped it can be removed. Also, brown drips on the wall in the bathroom which is disgustingly. I pulled down the bedding to get into bed and the sheets were stained right where I was going to lay down. So gross! They should have retired those sheets instead of using them. This is sloppy house keeping!!
I dialed 0 to talk to the front desk and got someone not at this location since it was after 10…and even though I’d just checked in. They said they didn’t have any other rooms and couldn’t send up bedding. That the front desk won’t be open until 9am. Umm, that doesn’t work for needing to sleep. Thankfully I went down to the front desk and she was still there checking in guest and currently is checking on another room to make sure it’s ready.
She said to give her 5 minutes and now it’s been 10. I pray this room is better. But I’d never stay here again.
UPDATE: it was close to 35 minutes of waiting for the new room to be cleaned and prepped for us to use. After waiting 25 minutes we decided to book a different room. Having a 2 year old traveling with us we needed a clean place to go to sleep right then. Thankfully we...
