By far the worst Hilton Garden I've ever stayed at. Stayed here on and off over the course of 3 months for work. Complaint #1- First stay it was 90 degrees, no A/C. Went down and complained, instead of switching me rooms, told me someone would be up shortly to take a look. First the lady at the front desk failed to let anyone know, so I'm sitting in a hot room sweating for 2 hours. She had mentioned this was happening elsewhere in the building so I assumed maintenance was swamped trying to fix a few.. nope the lady at the front desk didn't let anyone know and left for the evening I found after I called down around 11pm. The gentleman who came up wasn't even apart of the maintenance (no fault of his own), and since it was so late I didn't even bother switching rooms since I had to be to work in less than 6 hours. Asked to speak with the manager, he was out on vacation and the front desk notified me that he'd contact me when he returns, that was back in August, it is almost Halloween and still haven't heard a thing. Complaint #2- There was some sort of kids baseball/basketball tournament going on, so it turned into a McDonalds play place in there, parents were drinking out in the lobby, kids had full reign on the hotel, running down the halls, constantly screaming, water everywhere (since they'd run out from the pool and romp around the entire place). I called down to the front desk two times, they said they'd take care of it with no resolution (mind you this was between 9-11pm, I still need to be into work before 5, thanks for the backup front desk staff). Thankfully had some earplugs from the flight in, those coupled with noise cancelling headphones did the trick. Complaint #3- Although the breakfast hours start at 6am on weekdays and 7am on weekend, the kitchen consistently didn't open until 20 past. Since I was only able to get breakfast on my days off, I was really hoping to avoid the crowd, get down early and get out the door to explore beautiful New Jersey. After the kitchen would finally open, it'd take a minimum of 15 minutes before getting your food (there's an IHOP down the street for anyone who's impatient). One day after work, walking through the front lobby, overheard the receptionist mentioning that Q&A was coming in two weeks. This is when the staff finally lived up to the Hilton Garden expectations and started busting to try to pass their reviews. After the Q&A assessment was over, things went right back to the way they were before hand since they were probably find for another year. If I wasn't forced to stay here for work, I would of never returned after the first trip. Highly recommend avoiding this establishment, I've heard great things about the Hampton across the street. Also, if you have normal sized human hands, you won't be able to use the bathroom sink (they installed the sinks too close to the edge of the basin) so you'll be washing your hands in the tub (you'll get a laugh if you end up...
Read moreArranged this stay since I have been a long time user of the Hilton Brand. I received keys for my daughters and activated my digital key for myself. When I arrived at the rear door, the digital key would not allow me access. The keycards worked. When arrived at my room, it was just the opposite. The digital key worked but the key cards did not. I went to the desk to get new keys. I was told there would be no breakfast on Monday morning and that I would need to make other arrangements. But every other day of my stay breakfast would be available and it may look a little different. When my daughters went to take a shower, there were only 2 sets of towels in the room, so I had to call the front desk to have more delivered. Late Sunday night I was awakened by a fire alarm and had to evacuate my room. Monday, since there was no breakfast, we left for the day when we arrived back at the room, once again only the digital key worked. When we went into the room. NO HOUSEKEEPING. I called the front desk and the lady who answered said if you wanted housekeeping you had to tell someone. I asked why I was not told that as the gentleman who checked me in was very informative, I now guess to a fault. She said THERE WAS A SIGN? So, I got on the schedule; AT 7:30am while we were yet resting someone opens our door and enters the room (NO KNOCK) and announces housekeeping after he was in the room. He apologized and left the room. When I regained my focus, I got out of the bed he was still outside the room. He apologized again told me his name and said he was with housekeeping. He showed me a spreadsheet that has the rooms listed and showed me that my room was highlighted and said we were on the list but nobody told him the room was occupied! Once we were up, we went down to breakfast and breakfast was closed. I asked the front desk and he told me sorry no breakfast today. I asked what days do you have breakfast. I was told the only day breakfast would not be available was Monday. He said I do not know what happened. When I came in today, it was dark. He then told me about Cracker Barrel and i-Hop. Tuesday night I was completing some assignments for work and there was a storm and the internet went down and stayed down all night. I called the next morning and the front desk said it was knocked out by the lightning and she would call when it was restored. No call, so we left and went to another facility where we could borrow internet. This was the single worst stay I have ever had at a...
Read moreThere are no other poetic words to describe how incredibly sound, striking, and substantial the experience at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel turned out to be. Me and my mother were traveling up north from Macon Georgia all the way to mount holly new jersey to visit my grandma, auntie, and the rest of my cousins for the few days we got to experience between the 17th and 21th of April this past week. We needed a little somewhere where we could sleep throughout the week and this was one of the places my auntie got to set us up throughout the week we had stay between Monday and Friday. Now the room provided a delicate comfort authentic feel which gave us some solid soft layers beds to slumber, a bathroom with a great supply of towels after bathing, and even the breathtaking view out of window from when i get up each morning as i look forward to what the day had in store. The cable TV service wasnt anything to write on about but its still manage to provide me the flexibility of displaying as guide on the first channel just so im aware of whats coming on during primetime and what not with a notable example of the NBA playoffs when it comes to the Warriors and Sixers games which have glofied decent resolution and audio to digest on for a not too shabby experience. The last thing we got to sqeeze some time with cause it was our last day on Friday was walking down stairs to pool. My goodness the space of the room, how crystal clean the water was, and just the kind of spinking top notch relaxation i could to expect with the nice room temperature breeze to go around along with putting my towel on the seats before finishing up being nice dicey feature for a stress free time i got for an hour and half. My only grip takeaway from the stay is not being allowed to have free breakfast which i believe on average is between 10 or 15 dollars if your looking to dine during those hours of the day which was something that threw me off somewhat but other than that, everything else in the hotel was certainly somewhat dandy wholesome jam experience even the maid folding our beds while we were away to some outdoor activities with our family was no doubt a spiffy cool effort I got a nice heart out of to appreciate more after a wonderful day. Certainly recommend giving this establishment a look if yall haven't done so youll be speechless for the little visuals alone for your...
