This store gave me the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life.
Ashley in Burlington Township, NJ had a delivery of furniture promised for Thursday, Jan. 25. On Wednesday, Jan. 24, I get a confirmation for my delivery the following day.
But it was going to be delivered to my billing address in NJ, rather than my new Philly address.
I was on the phone all day trying to rectify the situation. None of the customer service reps were any help and it took until about 3pm for them to tell me that I needed to correct my Sychrony credit card info to match my updated address. This was never communicated to me during the purchasing process despite me telling the salesperson several times that I am moving and have a new delivery address. The folks at Ashley also tried blaming it on Synchrony, claiming that this was new information to them. But when I called up Synchrony to update my address, they said this should not have affected my delivery whatsoever.
I was willing to be flexible with Ashley and try to coordinate a delivery for the following day but they told me my furniture would not be delivered until Wednesday, Jan. 31, six days after they were supposed to arrive. The salesperson, to her credit, penciled in that date just to make sure something was in the books but said she was going to follow up with the distribution center to see about it getting delivered even earlier. That did not come to fruition.
I am now moving into an apartment this weekend. An apartment where I was planning to have a few guests over this weekend. All I have for them to sit on now is a queen size bed and a desk chair.
I am highly disappointed in how this whole situation shook out and I don’t believe I can trust Ashley to meet my furniture needs...
Read moreI won't be going back. I was promised a 2.5 week delivery at the time of purchase. I called after 2 weeks for an update and was told two more weeks. I called after another week for an update and was told 3 more weeks. A manager (NOT David- thank you for your help, sorry I do not have your name) found the missing pieces from my order and David called to schedule my delivery for today. I was told I would receive a call yesterday to choose a 4 hour delivery window. I did not receive a call so I called the store at 9am (when their automated message suggested customer service hours began), no one answered. I called every 15 minutes until David finally answered at 10am and told me I scheduled the delivery for next Wednesday, which was not the case since I can not be out of the office that day and it's my birthday, I would have remembered that date! He also mentioned he had no record of me calling prior to 10am. He stated he was there, available in the store. He gave me the number to the "Corporate Office" to try to move up the delivery HE improperly scheduled, choosing not to own his mistake. They could not move up my delivery said I should have contacted the store I purchased from.... I put my old couch out by the curb last night.....to cancel my order I will have to go into the store which should be a real treat. HAD David just said, 'oh my goodness! My error, I am sorry I was not clear, let me see what I can do' I would not be canceling. However, the level of customer service...
Read moreThis is store is set up perfectly. It has a great inventory, and is extremely clean. Wendy helped us, and she is very knowledgeable, and very friendly. We purchased a new mattress. We will be be back for more furniture.
UPDATE I knew i should have waited to do this review until the furniture was delivered. We were told the delivery was set up for Saturday, and we would get a call Friday to give us a time frame. 730 pm Friday came and with no call, i called the store. I spoke with Rich, who said the delivery was set for Tuesday. I disagreed, and he asked who told me Saturday. I was not sure. Rich said he would try and get it switched to Saturday, but could not promise. I told him we just got rid of my Mother-In-Law's bed, now she has nothing to sleep on. Maybe this store is too new to understand delivery schedules. They need to realize people make plans on what they are told. If you need furniture, i would try another Ashley store. As for my Mother-In-Law, Saturday, tonight, and tomorrow night she will be on a couch. Still awaiting a phone call. Thanks Rich, thanks Ashley.
UPDATE Delivery was now rescheduled for today (11/14/2023) between 3 - 7 pm. Here it is 7:40 pm, and still no mattress. The number they were told to call, was never called. I would definitely think twice about dealing with this store. NO communication with...
