I shall spare the in depth details with respect to the time in your life... and please understand that the three stars are NOT for this establishment but its contents within. My father ordered windows for the house from this Home Depot and used two cards for the payment, ergo; two purchase orders (all shall make sense in a few). When we arrived, there appeared to be mass confusion in that the place which we were to pickup the windows from, something PRO??, there was not a person to be found. Once I had tracked down a representative, he told me that the people working that particular counter had already left for the day.... It was approximately 1:30PM.... very odd work hours. I was directed to the customer service desk to get our windows. When approaching the customer service area, it was plain to see that the isle (or where it should have been) was not well arranged and there was serious confusion as to what was going on and where the line ended or began due to the large planter area in front (horrible planning/management). The employees looked agitated with all the people returning items even though that is their duty. At this point I still kept cool and did not allow my frustrations to get the better of me. The return cart was blocking the passage to the customer service desk and I personally had to move it for a woman to pass with her cart.... still kept it cool. Once called, it seemed as though it was a burden to get any assistance and was told "hang on," by the lady with the gray bouffant hairdo. Still cool, but growing annoyed! Was told someone will be out shortly and I had informed her where the pickup and the trailer for the windows was parked. WWWOOOOOOOOSSSSSSAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! After about a twenty minute period and me confirming once more, a man came out sporting the smock of the store and pushing a cart filled with what looked like our windows. My father proclaimed that it did not look sufficient as per the purchase orders and receipts. I had the pleasure of figuring out what seemed to be impossible. NONE of the numbers matched anything on the purchase orders nor receipts except my father's full name, and, well, we both knew that already. After another fifteen minutes of trying to figure out the packages, we concluded that only half of the order was fulfilled/presented (remember the two purchase orders? - AHA!). After about 45 minutes to an hour we finally had all our supplies, phew!!! I've had root canals that were less painful. I tip my hat in respect to Bill and hope this reaches him so he can appreciate the hard work he puts in (daily I'm sure) and knows that there is people that appreciate the 0.000001% he contributes to society (that is a huge percent given how many of us there are in the world). I revel in the fact that not everyone is only fending for themselves and are there to help when the call is heard. KUDOS TO BILL, because if it were not for his generous assistance and professionalism, this would be a rating of one star and very many unpleasant words. I was so pleased with his help that I gave the man; Bill, a firm handshake and a stern look of respect in the eyes. I don't go around shaking strangers hands at the moment if you were wondering. Ok, almost done.... I hope that Home Depot and its affiliates appreciate the person whom Bill is and promote him or at least give him an accolade for the determination he has to offer. That is a person whom knows how to make an establishment go from Zero stars to Three, more should be like him during these troubled times. KUDOS AGAIN BILL!!! Establishment as a whole: NOT SATISFIED. To Bill and his customer care: Five stars/EXTREMELY SATISFIED!! Thank you for the help...
Read moreThis has to be the very worst store of them all ....I place a almost $9000 order for decking materials that was all off the shelf except the rails it was over a month and I never got the delivery on the first date that they offered nor did they meet the second date and I literally live down the street from the store ; I went down to talk to the manager and he assured me that it would be delivered the next day and it showed up at 4pm and the driver dropped the order off the fork lift. I stopped in on the 26 Aug and they rep at the desk said the order has been sitting there since the 22 Aug but no one called me I went back to see the order and told them I could not take it that day due to I was on my way to the military base for work and I would be back. Tow days go by and still no one had called to say the order was in and ready 29 Aug. So I went to the store to pick it up on the 29 Aug and now they have lost it. A 8' pallet of special order PVC railing lost. One person went to look for it and never came back. Second person went to look for it and could not find it and went on to something else leaving me sitting there for two hours as the rep call a third person up to go look for it and he never came back. So now I lost 5 day of work that I took off to do the deck, plus the helpers I had coming over to help and get paid. Now after a month I still have no railings and no answers on where it is. Fair warning never order anything if your not one of their direct contractors because they just don't care about the general consumer. I felt even worse for the other guy sitting there with me that had been there for two hours for them to realize that his cabinets that they could not find were actually at the customer service desk behind the wall less than 5 feet from everyone. I would not even give them one star but this program won't let you post without adding a star that they...
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars - I would have. I ordered a washer on 12/13; had a delivery date of 12/16. I took off work specifically for the delivery window of 9-1. They arrived. Two men. Took the old washer out. Brought the new washer inside. Set it up. When the delivery person turned on the washer and walked away - water started to pour out from the bottom. Obviously the hoses were not installed correctly. He said 'no problem' - I'll have to get a new hose out of the truck. So when he changed out the new hose - he broke the plastic ring it attaches to?! They had to take away the new washer!!!!!! The two men could not speak or understand English when I asked questions. I was extremely disappointed but assumed I will get a replacement. After calling for updates - finally on the 12/20 - I was told they would replace it and should be phoning with a delivery date. Between the 20th and the 22nd - my order was cancelled!!!!!! No one knew the reason?? I went to the Home Depot in Burlington in person and spoke to several of their employees there. ZERO SATISFACTION!
Yesterday I decided to go to the store and to make a long story short - the ordered had to again - be cancelled but more in an expedited fashion so that I could get my credit card credited quickly. I don't see why they couldn't replace me with another washer?? Their process is to cancel, refund and for the customer to start all over again. I am waiting for my credit card to be credited. This was a TOTAL FIASCO!!!!!!!!! To this day - I still have no washer. I should've kept the other and had it repaired for Pete's Sake.
HORRIBLE...
