Norske Inn — Hotel in Westby

The time I stayed in this Inn the outside area which is a gas station smelled like manure. The check in was done inside the convenience store associated with the gas station. The person who checked us in took forever, messed up and ended up charging us twice by two different entities. Fortunately we called them a few days later and the illegitimate charge was reversed.

Not many options in this town. We would have left but theres no where else close. Room looked clean but the nuts on the floor and empty beer can next to the bed said otherwise. No working air conditioning, 30 seconds of hot water in the shower, sign on bathroom door says dont close, lock broke, headboard torn off the wall and refrigerator that wont cool. Website says there is a restaurant in the gas station. Nope, its gone. Been gone for 3 years. I guess you get what you pay for...

To manage expectations, this is not a luxury place… it’s more like an enclosed “motel.” However, for the price, it’s a great value. I have booked a few rooms here three years in a row (to float the Kickapoo on the Viroqua music festival weekend in July) and I’ve had a great experience each year.
