I read reviews before booking this place but now can’t believe the positive ones after staying there. I strongly recommend against staying there. Unfortunately, I didn’t see the negative ones that truly reflect the conditions I experienced. (Check out the one on TripAdvisor about the blood under the bed.) As it was, my flight arrived late and I was worried I might get there too late to check in. No worries. the place had plenty of activity inside and out, with legally questionable interactions taking place in the parking lot. As a single female traveling alone, I felt a little alarmed about that first impression but had no other options at that hour so went to the desk to check in. I can’t say the clerk was friendly in the least. My first thought was to wonder what was wrong with him. He seemed confused with the way he fumbled around and he made no attempt to have any sort of verbal interaction with me. Most hotels at least attempt to make you feel welcome. I asked him twice if he was finding my reservation since he gave no indication of that. I also asked if it was going to be noisy with all those transactions going on in the parking lot and explained that noise wouldn’t work for me, and I told him I expecting the kind of vibe I saw there. He said it wasn’t noisy. I wasn’t expecting frills but this place was very run down. I have nothing against places that allow pets but the pet policy clearly wasn’t enforced and I had to walk across a big pile of dog feces between my room and my car that was parked just outside the room in the parking lot. The edge of the door to this room was chipped away around the lock with a big gap several inches long, showing very clear signs that someone had attempted to break in, without anyone bothering to repair it. That gave me no confidence of any sort of security. The room had no insulation because sounds in the parking lot and from running water in the adjoining room were very loud and kept me awake The AC barely cooled the room. The wifi was unsecured. As I stayed awake all night I weighed whether I could feel safe enough to stay there for the three days I had reserved. I decided there was no way I would feel safe leaving my belongings there during the day even if it had been possible to sleep. I didn’t see any insects but also was concerned about that given the general neglect of the place. I decided to check out first thing in the morning but was told I would have to pay for the other two nights. The clerk actually acted more human during subsequent the 1.5 hours I had to sit there and wait for the manager. I had to deal with the manager because he told me he was not permitted to give me a refund nor to provide me with the manager’s name or contact information so that I could contact her about this. Once the manager arrived, she explained that since I booked through Expedia, I would have to contact them, which turned out be impossible. I spent a sleepless night there on top of another sleepless night due to travel, a wasted morning, and a hot day without a room, since I was unable to check into another hotel until 4 PM that day. This experience pretty much destroyed any enjoyment of what turned out to be a very expensive trip to the US. With what I paid for two hotels combined I could have stayed at the Hilton. I recommend not going through third parties like Expedia that give decent ratings to run down crime infested hotels like this. Red Roof Inn is currently being sued for sex trafficking that has been going on under the nose of these negligent managers. I would not have booked there, had I known of this allegation, let alone of the poor...

The hotel clerk has absolutely zero customer service skills. He was rude, disgruntled and dismissive when I checked in. He did not request my driver's license in so much as he DEMANDED it. I felt like I was being pulled over by a pissed-off police officer. He presented the attitude that he was angry about having to be at work.
He further refused any documentation - such as an itinerary/reservation number or room receipt. He was able to find me in the system with no problem.
First impression - The room stinks horribly - the smell was so bad it literally caused me to stagger when I tried to enter the room. The first night there, and while I was trying to sleep, my throat burned from the smell in the room. Further inspection revealed that someone has been smoking extremely heavily in that room of which I am allergic to.
The room itself appeared to be clean, but on closer inspection, it is evident that it was only given a cursory cleaning.
While I have not observed any evidence of an insect or rodent presence, the second thing you notice upon walking into the room, is that your boots literally stick to the floor especially in the area between the bed and the door.
There is hair and what appears to be fingernail/toenail clippings and other miscellaneous debris- including small bits of possible paper and other dirt/mud around the room.
The floor was unswept and unmopped once you pass the bed and into bathroom area. There is an unknown, dried liquid spillage on the floor near the bed - between the bed and bathroom areas.
The shower has excellent pressure and temperature control. The bathtub drain is broken. There is toilet paper crammed into the drain valve, holding the drain open. There's hair and other disgusting trash in the bathroom - on the floor and on the walls. The shower curtain itself is dirty. The walls of the shower are dirty. The bath mat is stained and has mold on it.There's very little light in the bathroom area itself. There may as well not be a seat on the toilet, and it also appeared dirty.
There is a broken clothing hanger. The ice bucket is filthy. There is no iron, but there is an ironing board.
There is what appears to be footprints on the inside of the window. There is a hole in the wall behind the entry door, where the door was slammed into the wall. The lamp at the bed, closest to the window, has a broken light bulb in it. The bed itself is very uncomfortable and feels like you're sleeping on a sheet of plywood.
Overall - I do not recommend this particular room. Given the choice between this hotel and another - I would probably choose a...
Read moreAbsolute WORST place EVER!! It may be “cheap,”but do yourself a favor and find another place to stay, cheap is not always better! The RUDEST manager and front desk people I have ever met in my life. I made a reservation, ended up NOT staying after NOT ONE, but TWO FILTHY ROOMS!! First room, the bedsheets were folded down like someone was in the bed, had stains, lights on, bugs/dirt etc. Second room had hair on the “clean” bedsheets, something in the toilet. I simply asked for my money back that day, still nothing after a week. Multiple calls, me calling them bc they wouldn’t call back… simply asking for a receipt emailed to me to just prove that they sent the refund and I continued to get hung up on, lied to, promised calls back from the manager and NOTHING!!! Went up on a weekend to ask in person, was rudely told by the manager “why would you even come here on a weekend, I’m not there and no one can get you that information for you and I’m certainly not coming to do that today.” Then the front desk girl, lied stating it was sent on Wednesday (the Wednesday before I went up on the weekend.) Again, I was just wanting an email confirmation of the refund, asked multiple times still nothing. Called on Monday (I will admit I was fuming by this day bc of the disrespect, rudeness, incompetencey etc.) Now at day 10 of nothing, no refund, no money NOTHING. Was hung up multiple times, again just asking for a simple email of proof they sent it, again was told it was sent on Wednesday. After about the 5th hang up, I called corporate, explained the situation and GUESS WHAT?! They didn’t send it Wednesday it was sent THAT DAY!!! Sooo let’s see if I even get it back bc day 10 and I’m still waiting. Horrible place, rude people and NOT WORTH IT!!! It is obvious they are crooks!!! So do yourself a favor DO NOT GO TO THIS PIECE OF...
