To whom it may concern: is true story, it might happened to any customer. We are a family of three, we were attending a family wedding in Westwood ma, and we decided to book our stay in Hampton inn hotel. On 10/6/17 around 3 pm we checked-in, and we were assigned room 416 for our stay, everything went well, till 10/8/17 around 8:45am we got up and pack up some of our belongings in two suitcases, and left some other to pack and carry by hand for later when we return back to room, we wheeled our two luggage and one carryon paper bag to our car which was park in the back of the building. Than we processed to have our complimentary breakfast in hotel lobby. We had our breakfast. Approximately around 9:30 am we went back to our room to get the rest of our carry-on belongings and to go to check out. When we accessed our room we were stunned, surprised and confused. All our belongings ( two wedding dresses, men suit, tie, shirt, rain coat, and scarfs) that were in the closet are missing and also all the other stuff that were in draws, on top of desk, and on top night table stand are not there anymore. The room is totally cleaned and our property has been removed from the room. We looked at each other with disbelieved, and left the room, as soon as we exited the room one house keeper was in the hall way with cleaning cart, than it came to our attention that some of our property appeared to be on top of the cleaning cart mixed with some thirty towels and cleaning products, my wife asked her that the items are our belonging has been taken from our room. The house keeper seemed to have some language barrier did not respond but she started to pull our items from trash bags some others items were stuffed under the cart other were just floating on top of cart. While we were recovered what we could from her. We took all what she gave us that were seized from our room. Than we proceeded down stairs to checkout counter, we consult with a manager with the incident and what happened upstairs, she was apologetic, but she show no concerns at all, instead she started interrogating us second guess our complains. We checked out early than was planned approximately 10:30 am. We paid in full our balance than we left in shock. At that time with an anxiety we did not checked what was missing from our belongings. As soon as we got home around 1pm, we started go over and sort out our stuff. We found that: one iphone6 power charger, one I phone7 ear bud, one green silk scarf, and one ray-ban gray –wire sun glasses were missing. We called back the hotel and spoke to the manager that was aware of the incident but unfortunately she was not helpful and accommodating. We concluded that she is not going to assist us to recover our property. We e-mailed the manger with detailed explanation to what happened to us, unfortunately she never replied, we decided to call her but she shut us down. “ I hope this is an isolated incident, and is not something that occurred to so many customer out there” I hope by analyzing the above details of the incident help us recover our properties. And heal our disappointing stay experience that over took our family special event from happy to disappointing. Let the customer be the...
Read moreArrived yesterday. They never held the deposit when we booked. Huge issue over paying cash. Had to give a hundred dollar deposit per room and pay for the rooms upfront. We weren't informed about that when we called to book and we talked with them about it. Guy was super rude at the counter at check in about the issue. I asked to speaker to a manager and the guy at the desk calls the manager and makes sure that everyone in the lobby can hear everything he is saying. Finally got it straightened out but not after we just wanted to crawl in a hole. Then we go get take out dinner end up lost so it was a little after 9 when we got back. We knocked on our room door to get someone on the inside to open it as that happened we made a little commotion because we started to drop stuff, someone called a noise complaint on us. (People in the hallway) I'm sitting here like you got to be kidding me here? Adult daughter walk out of room with wrong key card (joining rooms and ours has the top lock set) she can't get back in to grab her shoes because everyone is sleeping so she decides to go get a coffee, gets yelled at by staff for not having shoes on. At this point I'm guessing the staff hates their jobs. The beds in our two rooms are those hard ones that move around a ton if you move a little. One of our rooms has a mini fridge the other one doesn't which is hard with 8 people. Hotel is nice and clean. Rooms were clean. Indoor pool is 5ft deep kinda small for the size of the hotel. Super loud in the pool area we ended up leaving because it echos so bad. No hot tub FYI. Workout room has a treadmill an elliptical for cardio, then some free weights and such. We are here until tomorrow and I can't wait for everyone to get up so we can leave for the day. We travel several times a year this is our first and last time we would stay here. We have yet to have a positive interaction with a staff member. We have a large group but we are pretty easy going and go with the flow. We kept trying to overlook things after the check in issue but it just seems to be non stop attitudes from people in this place which makes for a very unpleasant, uncomfortable environment. As much as I love a mini vacation I can't wait to...
Read moreGadi at the reception declined to tell me about restaurants near the hotel where I could grab food on the way from airport via uber. Said I need to be in front of him to answer and kept referring to me as 'darling' throughout my phone and in-person conversation. I just took the room key and kept to my room. After i checked out, i called the property again about a billing question. Gadi picked the call again and instead of resolving my issue tells me he thought I was impolite in not saying thank you on getting the key. When I reminded him about his refusal to not tell me about restaurants close to the property, he threatened me that he would report me to the company I came to boston to interview with to not hire me. He went on to say 'I dont know which country you are from' and insulting my home country. I had to tell him he is giving his own country ,israel, a bad name. He then said he had a lot of guests waiting and hung up on me. In truth he is also giving hampton a bad name. What receptionist refuses to give food advice, insults the entirety of the guests race and threatens to tell the company I came on business with to not hire me. I am sure this is not a one off case, this guy did not need a reason to be a racist bully. I ended up calling the central customer service number and when they put me on call with him, he started telling me he is apologetic and we should 'forgive each other'. I told him sternly he has no cause to forgive, that is something I need to do. He needed another of your hampton employees online to act like a normal reasonable human. You would be wise to take notes. Apart from this there was no hot water in my room, the sliding door came off its rails so i couldnt shower anyway. I could call the service desk either to report it as the room phone didnt work. But this was miniscule compared to your...
