This was the first and certainly not the last time I go to the Claasic Kitchen Cafe for breakfast. 1) Walking through the door, I was warmly greeted - instantly, I felt comfortable; 2) sitting at the counter (which I requested) the staff began to interact with me, providing me with coffee and encouraging me to take my time; 3) I told the staff that this was the first time I had been to their restaurant. I said words to the effect of, "if you could recommend one thing for me to have, what would it be? The response I received was, "do you like corned beef hash? Ours is homemade and wonderful. ( I love good corned beef hash and HATE bad corned beef hash, which I admit, makes me a corned beef has snob!) I took their recommendation and ordered the hash bowl with 2 eggs scrambled over the top ( it normally comes with 2 eggs Sunnyside over the top-which I also love, but was not in the mood for). The "hash bowl" came with toast. Since it doesn't automatically come with home fries, I added them to my order. 4) The food came out very quickly, piping hot. The hash bowl was bigger than I anticipated. 5) The food was Wonderful! The homemade hash is simply fantastic, the best I've had in years. The home fries were excellent! Big chunks of red bliss potatoes with an amazing spice coating. NOT GREASY. They don't "gild the Lilly " with the home fries. They don't have to. They are perfectly cooked. I'm not a small guy and I don't like to waste food, but I couldn't finish the home fries, although I tried my best. This place is amazing! I HIGLY recommend it without reservation!! See you there. I will be there one happily eating while making...
Read moreThis place is sooooo good!!! I went here on a whim with my friend and our 2 kiddos. She lives in Westford and had never been here but also loved it!!!
The place from the outside leaves a lot to the imagination. Honestly, I was pre-judging this place before going in. What a wrong thing to do because this place is so yummy!!! The place is on the smaller side, but it didn’t feel cramped. We walked in and were genuinely greeted by a friendly woman that ended up being our waitress. I wish I remembered her name, so I could give her a shout out because she was great … very kind and assertive. She was also very patient and understanding with our two 20 month olds.
Anyway, to get on with the good stuff … we came for some breakfast food. Not only is their menu extensive (but not overwhelming), it’s also affordable and very yummy!!! I want to give a shout out to my pancakes that were on the special menu. LOL!!! Sweet corn and bacon pancakes … mouthwatering!!! I’m craving them now!!! So unique!!! I love that you can order a short stack, which (in my opinion) is the perfect amount. We also got coffee and other items. Everything was good!!! It was also not salty or oily, which is a downfall to a lot of breakfast places.
I highly recommend this place!!! So much so that I live about a hour away from here, but I would definitely drive the distance and go back. What a...
Read moreI'd love to give this place another try for the food, because it's excellent. Beignets were hot and very tasty, and all the main food was good. The service needs work. The people are friendly, by that's pretty much the good. We're a family of 4, with one kid under 3 still in a high chair. Not only did they seat both parties that came in after us before us, they seated us at a high top table, without even checking to see if we needed a high chair. We saw a table being cleared in the back and they did agree to move us there, but then forgot all of our drinks (had to ask for them twice while they were putting our food on the table) and just in general kind of forgot we existed. Between the time we walked in the door around 12:15, and the time we left art almost 2pm (with about a 15 minute wait for the table), we spent the VAST majority waiting for food, and saw four parties after us get served before us. Again, great food, but waiting almost 90 minutes with 2...
