Emerson Health Westford Lab and MRI. I scheduled a MRI scan on 5/13 at 4:10 om and I arrived at the office around 3:40 pm. And I didn’t leave the place until almost 6 pm. And the scan took 20 minutes. The wait was long but as least the lady at the front desk was up front and let me know the appointments sere running late and she was apologetic about the wait. However I was not complaining about that. THIS MORNING, I walked in because I planned to have my blood work done before my doctor’s appointment. I started fasting around 7:30 pm last night. I arrived at the office at 10 am and put down my name and I knew that all lab works do not have appointment scheduled in advance. I waited until 30 minutes and no one had said anything and my stomach was hurting so I asked a woman who was working at the front desk. She first told me that I had to wait for the people who scheduled the appointments in advance to be done before I could register so I have to wait longer because they were still registering others. And I told her since I could not wait due to my stomachache, and she told me I could leave. As I was leaving, there was a woman who claimed she was working at the lab and she even said waiting for 30 minutes was not long, sometime people had to wait for TWO HOURS. She seemed so proud of that to make patients wait for 2 hours. Then I had nothing to say so I left. I called my doctor office and found out another location to have my blood work done and the closest was Groton so I went there. It was about 1:15 pm I arrived and I left before 1:45 pm. The ladies who worked there were efficient and kind. What a difference!!! From now on, I will stay away from the Westford...
Read moreThis review address my experience with the staff that check you in. I did not have an issue with the lab employees. My experience is from 3/19/24.
I went to this location for bloodwork. You sign in leaving using your first name and the first letter of your last name for privacy concerns which makes perfect sense. I’m called by Lynn W. to her window so she can gather information that she needs. This is where the issues start. Lynn W. asks why I’m there and I state why. Then she asks me for my last name. I start to spell it and she stops me, and asks if “I have ID because there are to many letters in my last name.” First off, I’m not in an enclosed office. Everyone in the waiting room can hear my answers to her questions. So much for confidentiality. Not Lynn W’s fault. But I wasn’t aware that there was a limit to the amount of letters one could have in their last name. Her statement was made to put me down. Ridicule my ancestry. Of course, when I called Lynn W. out on this she tried to back track and minimize what she said. I’ve encountered teenagers who work customer service that have treated me better. My take away is that the Emerson Health Lab in Westford doesn’t like people of Eastern European descent. I’ll be talking to my doctors about...
Read moreI went Emerson Health Center in Westford for blood test this morning. However, they didn't receive my test order from my PCP's office. Apparently, this was due to two different systems (used by PCP's office and by Emerson's) so the order didn't go through. I have waited for over an hour to finally get my blood test done. I am writing this review is not to complaint Emerson's lab in Westford, but in opposite, I want to compliment the lab's staff! I am very grateful to the front desk registration lady, Lynn, who made extra effort to contact my PCP's office for two times to get them fax over my test order. She was also very kind to comfort me while I was waiting. In addition, the lab technical girl was also extremely friendly and efficient. My experience today in this lab is so much different from some of my previous experiences, so I also want to thank the manager of the lab for making great improvement...
