AVOID at ALL costs. I’m almost 40 years old, I have never left a hotel without sleeping - and I’ve stayed in a dive or two when I was younger. That streak was broken staying here. When you walk in there are serious red flags. There are signs everywhere stating all guests need to wear wristbands (no wristbands were given), there were limits to how many people could stay in a room (reasonable, but so telling that it has to be posted), noise limits, smoking reminders, bans on speakers, etc. Still, we were going to a party and thought a few hours wouldn’t kill us. Leaving for the party we noticed the rooms next to us had over a half dozen people in them, we’re blasting music, and screaming. Fine - have fun, as long as I can sleep later. We got back after midnight. As we pulled into the hotel, the parking lot is flooded with people, all smoking marijuana beside their cars. It’s not one or two - it was maybe 40 people. We get to our room, passing several party rooms still raging, and try to settle in. I notice a noise that upon investigation, is a huge leak coming from the room above into ours (pictured). I look around and realize: the smoke alarm has been removed, the sprinkler system is removed, and there’s mold all over the bathroom that was half heartedly painted over with a different shade of paint (all pictured). We called the front desk and said we were leaving around 12:30am. They responded “alright.” We asked if we could be refunded, they told us to call Monday to speak to the general manager. We told them refund or not, the room was in bad shape and they should address the major leak. They responded “sure.” STAY AWAY

so to start off this is not my first time booking at this hotel however I was more disappointed in my most recent stay than anything. When I first checked in the young lady at the desk was very nice and friendly as I had a suite close to the lobby which was no big deal it was a nice room with hardwood flooring however the set up in the room I didn’t quite like all of the furniture and tables where inside the bedroom I also had no television inside of the living room area and when I proceed back to the front desk to explain that I was told that I would have to wait for maintenance to see if there was another television available if not I would have to wait until the morning and that there weren’t any more suites available (I booked an executive suite) had me really upset and disappointed but I brushed it off I proceeded to unpack and realize that it kept getting hotter in the room while both ac units were on one of them didn’t work so I told my issues again to the front desk I feel their attitudes was changing because i kept coming back they then proceeded to tell me “come get another set of keycards you’ll move to another suite” in my head im thinking i was just told there weren’t anymore suites. I feel as if they didn’t want to change my room so I said ok I’ll be right down I grabbed the next set of key cards and realized the suite I was in was the same exact room I had when I was just there in June (room 149) which was no biggie knowing it’s a nice room what I didn’t expect after I moved all of my stuff from one room to another was uninvited guest as I go into the bathroom to shower I was greeted by a roach I took pictures just so they can see and when i proceeded to the desk I was basically told their was nothing they can do and I can’t basically move to another room because once again I got told no more rooms where available..at this point im on edge I have all of my stuff sitting in a little corner cause I didn’t want to bring any guest home..this all happened Friday the day of my check in i booked 2 nights didn’t check out until Sunday ..whilst I continue to stay but could rarely get comfortable when I got up Saturday morning I was greeted by another guest and oh man oh man it was bigger then the last at this point i was hurt and disappointed that the room I was just in last month was such a nice room and I was comfortable had now been a mini nightmare I went to the front desk with more pictures and the guy and girl that was there basically told me that it was nothing they can do and that they will just add it into the note section of my stay and it wasn’t any rooms available still to get changed …mind you I check out Sunday meaning I still had a night to stay ..I asked well can I at least get my room cleaned ? The man I believe was then manager said sure and had told housekeeping to come to my room it took her 15 minutes from when I was at the front desk to come and didn’t knock or anything just busted in my room and all I got was “OOPS sorry” like what happen to knocking? She proceeded to re make my bed with new sheets and pillow cases with a lot of force like anger throwing pillows on the floor and ripping the comforter off the bed just to change the sheets ..I then asked I also wanted my floor vacuum from moving with a room with hard wood flooring to carpet now of course it’ll be little small pieces of trash ..I don’t know about anyone else but me personally if I’m staying at a hotel for more than a night I like to keep a clean room for a nice stay ..she then smacked her lips when I asked for it to be vacuumed and after forcibly changing my sheets she grabbed the vacuum and vacuumed with anger and force as if she didn’t want to…all in all with this always being a hotel I use to recommend to people and I always loved coming to I’m highly disappointed that I now have to find another hotel to go to for when I want a mini weekend getaway as well my issues wasn’t resolved and I got told it was nothing...

If I could give 0 I would. My husband and I decided to splurge a little bit on our vacation and get a suite with a hot tub. To us, this was a huge luxury to have a room like the photos shown. We got there and the front desk receptionist showed us photos of the room we were receiving and we agreed to go out and pay extra to have this experience. We got room 133 and when we entered it looked nothing like the photo and the bed was not made correctly, the little lamp that was provided barely lit the room, the mirror on the closet was busted and the hot tub in the room was not working. I contacted the front desk of the issue and he made me tr 4 more times until I became fed up and decided to video it and told him I have the recording I am not trying anymore! It was late and I was tired and wanted to relax. He finally said come to the front desk and we will provide you with a new room. So, now I had to gather all my stuff and bring it to the front desk to then pack it to another room. We got room 119 which appeared better. The bed did have the proper dressing and had a nice chair. The room had no light except a colored light at the top of the room and the tv was very small. At this point, I didn't care it was good enough... UNTIL!!!! We tried to use the hot tub, It worked but the heater jets did not work. It is basically a bathtub. We said forget it and decided to heat up our food in the microwave. The microwave work just fine in the beginning for my husband's food then when I went to put mine in it did not work anymore. At this point, I am so frustrated. It is late, I am tired, I am out 150.00, I can not warm up my food, I did not feel like leaving again in the cold to go purchase a meal, & I had to move rooms. Not to mention the sample conditioner and shampoos provided were used by someone and not replaced. This is ridiculous. We went to bed frustrated I got up to get my charger for my cell phone out of my bag and had to use my flashlight to get it and noticed yellow urine like a spot on our white sheets. I took a photo and went to bed to wake up in the morning to get out. We left and decided to call back and tell them about this. They told us the manager would call us the next day but we never received the call So, I called. He didn't know what was happening so of course, I had to explain everything. He offered me 20% off a stay when I come back and I told him 1. I am not a resident in Chicago and I will not be back there for a long time if ever 2. I do not want 20% off his hotel because I am so angry I never want to stay at their hotel again. We went back and forth forever many phone calls and he said he will call back the next day. Which never happened. I called again and he was out and he had to call me back again. Finally, he called and I was told he had to contact China. I was unsure because he is the manager and should be able to handle these situations. But he needs to contact China and call back. so I was just patient with this and agreed. Again no call SO I was forced to contact again and he told me that CHINA told him that he could not refund me and all I could get was the 20% offer. Do NOT stay here!!! Especially if it's for a special time. It reminds me of a run down hook up spot for hookers. It is okay if you are going to pay like 40 bucks maybe 60 but 140 and originally 180! Way overpriced and They are scammers bc they are falsely advertising and then when you're dissatisfied no help. It is like a wild goose chase. I would recommend the Hyatt Place Downtown Chicago in the loop they were only 80.00 and everything was so nice a perfect! Don't waste your money here. The...

I'm writing this as I check out. This place is horrid. An absolute nightmare. I checked in and drove my family around to the door to unload. We had an executive suite on the second floor that we booked for 3 nights. We saw a luggage cart by the door and I ran to grab it. We filled it up and wheeled it back into the building only to find that there was no elevator. Great. My husband and I had to run back and forth while making sure my two year old stayed put. That was exhausting in itself. We did a walk through of the room and found a crack in the window, the dresser chipped, and a broken chair. I quickly called the front desk to report the things that I saw and they admitted they were already aware. They also admitted that there were about 4 other rooms with cracked windows. Whatever. Upon looking out of the window, we noticed that some rooms have balconies and patios. We didn't have that which was odd seeing as we had the biggest most expensive room. That sucked. We had to go to the front desk multiple times because we had no ice bucket, only two towel sets (in a room that they claim can sleep 6), and no blankets for the pull out couch. We walked through out the building to see the exercise room and pool area and both were disappointing. The carpet throughout the hall smelled like a moldy basement. The pool area was trashed. Dirty towels were everywhere. The water was yellow. It smelled of chlorine but didn't look like they ran the filter in days. There weren't any accessible clean dryoff towels either. The exercise area was ok. They had a broken water machine in there and 4 pieces of equipment. Breakfast was laughable at best. They served only one meat and it was pork sausage. They don't allow you to take your breakfast back to your room. They say the crumbs from the food attract ants and it prevents people from being wasteful. A joke! There is a refrigerator and microwave provided. Of course we will eat in our rooms anyway! As far as crumbs attracting ants, I believe it because during our 3 night stay, room service didn't come to our room AT ALL. We had to use the same towels. Our garbage overflowed like crazy. And I changed the toilet paper rolls myself. I'm not done yet. They lock all the doors to the building at 10 pm. I have no idea why. You literally have to park your car by the door closest to your room and walk all the way around to the main entrance. What for? Two of the closest ice machines to our room were broken. Another hassle. The best thing about this place still had cons. The courtyard. Not a lot of places have one and their's was beautiful... Except there was trash everywhere. Empty beer cans all over the table at 8 am. Lights knocked over onto the sidewalk, and cigarette butts all over the walkway. I was so annoyed with my stay that I wanted to end my vacation early. I will never in my life stay here again. Even if someone else...
